Thanks for featuring my apartment (the second one). I hope other young men use it as an inspiration for their own!
I really enjoyed how the black went with everything that in my opinion gave it both an elegant and a modern look. Not to mention black is pretty neutral that you can work with it just about any way
I love black, and I'm super OCD about color coding things, your apartment makes me happy. I respect the dedication to the theme.
I really like your home, I honestly would love something similar.
Thank you for reviewing my room (the last one), I appreciate the criticism. and yes I have a taste of a grandma when it comes to decor! 😛😂
I really like the patterns. They look alive. As opposed to dull and sterile.
@@merus2164 Thank you very much, me too that's the real reason I put it that way, I don't like the desaturated "cold" design.
Thanks James for featuring my Western style apartment! These photos are from last June when I first moved in, and have upgraded my closet quite a bit since then, partially thanks to your channel 😂
A companion series rating subscribers' outfits?
Excellent idea.
I second this. Would make for a fun video.
Appreciate how encouraging you are with your younger subscribers. It's a heavy burden of responsibility, but you can help keep them on the right path.
The Gentleman's Path.
Just a quick note - the room you referred to as having “bunting” - these are Tibetan Buddhist prayer flags and where probably brought back from “trekking in the Himalayas” possibly even to Mt. Everest (base camp or summit) - I think there where some (and, I think, an ice-ax which is used in climbing) in one of the rooms that you commented on in the first video. Anyway, these are not just decoration but mementos of a significant trip for the individuals. If you look at any video of the Mt Everest base-camp you will see strings of these flags between the tents.
In the love,y older gentleman’s living room the stacked glass of acrylic pieces are candle holders. Love this room
The first space is definitely well done. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Clean and elegant. Bravo!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Salute to this community.
For both their exquisite tastes,
and their courageous aspirations.
As a college freshman who is looking to get into a bit more formal style than I dress now, I appreciate your videos and style advice.
Unrelated, but I have to: Let’s go ‘Stros! 16:15
Second space is definitely a very masculine place. I like that is clean and this space tells me that this individual has designed this space for his personal comfort. The first space was inviting to entertain or impress a female. The second is about Him as a person. Nicely done as well!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
"I don't want to think about that"
😂😂😂😂
Thank you for including my condo. I hope I provided some inspiration to some of your young followers. I love art and have an extended collection, which I collected from all over the world and are all original.
We need a part 3 right away!! Please make this a series!
Fun idea. I love looking how others live! Fascinating.
I really liked that last bedroom.
One of my favorite series from your channel!
I’m already taking notes for my house 😁
Have a good day James
I think the last room was going for like a White Lotus wood and palm resort vibe but it’s just too garish. He might wanna just get like a dark green for a similar look. For art, he could get retro hula posters or something
The teenage guy with little flags on the wall appears to be a Buddhist - and this flags are a cultural/religious thing - correct me if Im wrong. Also the Judo belts and the tea set details add really much points to his tastes in showing personality and having his room nice
I agree and picked up on these too. I think James' judgement was rather harsh for such a young man who had obviously made a great effort!
If I remember correctly, they would have prayers on them. The pic looked like they had some black ink on them as well so stands to reason that’s what that could have been.
as a young woman my fav is the floral bedroom, old-fashioned patterns are fine and even cute. the room is more feminine than masculine, which you dont seem to enjoy but most women like...just not 3 florals at once lol, maybe the bed could be simple and monotone?
Absolutely love this series. Looking forward to more episodes in the future!
A really important point about curtains such as in the last example is that bedroom curtains should drape down to the floor rather than just cover the window area. It gives a fully-dressed, elegant look to the room. My preference is for curtains that, when closed in the daytime, allow a warm white, low-light glow to enter the room, like a warm-coloured lamp. This colour of curtain will melt into the background in the evening when the real warm-white lamps are on. It's also nice not to wake up to a harsh morning light.
Great video as always.
Very impressed with the good taste and style shown in these homes.
No mention of the martial arts belt display in the one young guy's room? That was likely all his old belts so it's a pretty impressive display.
As a man, if you want, you should communicate that you're willing to cohabit. Make the space welcoming to the person you want to attract.
Assuming heteronorm, men's living spaces should have woman's hygiene in the bathroom and have plants and artwork that compliments both of you.
This should be a series of urs
I think what that house lacks is 'stuff'.
Let’s hope there aren’t more NSFW homes.
😂
how about a stylish movie list (except for the james bond series) for your future videos?
One thing i noticed is the lack of plants in most of the pictures. In my opinion you should ad some plants in your Apartments. Not only for aesthetic reasons but also for air quality
Video about Alain Delon would be great. True style icon so ahead of his time
You know I don't usually watch these "idealic male" genre of videos/channels. I think there's a lot of flaws in them and I feel the people that are obssesed with them can be just brainwashed as the "woke" people they complain about. That being said, I didn't come to hate. I appreaciate that this guy doesn't just drag on the people he rates in these videos purely for views like many others are doing and there is genuine feedback. Kudos to you sir!
In my era, the quintessential bachelor pad would have had those mirrors on the ceiling above a round bed.
Yes a circular water bed😳
Boys, you need curtains for some softness. Black can be so predictable, let’s see some different bolder colours.
That rug really tied the room together dude
The living room drapery is too short
… a Leather Chesterfield tufted sofa 🤌🏽
The first guy had quite a lot of time to acquire the interating pieces but apoarently not enough time to buy a good canera or smart phone. The pictures quality is horrendous. LOL
I didn't like the first three rooms. They felt like staged sets for magazine shoots rather than places someone actually lived. Maybe it's my blue collar background, but they felt extremely pretentious to me. It was more about projecting what you want people to think of you instead of projecting yourself. It's proscribed sophistication with all the properly curated bits. It was very inorganic. Honestly, the last room felt the most real to me. It actually had some color, thank God! A floral pattern on the curtains, bed and floor might be a bit much, but after all the heavy macho designs, it was nice to see the flat of a man not trying to be a totally not gay chad.
If those were “pretentious” to you, then I would not be keen to see what your living space looks like.😬
Why is your pfp Prince as a furry? That is reprehensible.
@@pey10bogvkuehl29 What can I say? We Minneapolitans are weird. Have you ever seen Prince in the early 1980s? :D Thanks for noticing my doo. No one ever does!
@@Rahshu Unfortunately, I didn’t have that luxury. What is your favorite piece of work from the late and great?
@@pey10bogvkuehl29 Not counting the obvious like "Purple Rain" or "1999," I've always been partial to "Diamonds and Pearls," "NEWS," and I loved his work with the group Madhouse, one of his side projects doing jazz funk stuff. His album "Originals" is cool as you get to hear his own performances of stuff he wrote for other people. Finally, "The Rainbow Children" is so out there and unusual but musically fascinating. I'm not sure what to make of it other than I think it's a kind of religious work (the guy was a Jehovah's Witness).
Your videos are really good but you seem so bored doing them. How about a little excitement or inflection in your voice?
The owner's of the nicer places have to be gay!!
No. I've met very many straight men with gorgeous pads.
@@tinachristine4573 That is what they want you to believe!! 🏳🌈
You’re hilarious and you don’t even know it…. And yet I subscribed 🤯🤯🤯
