    It was a very positive take on the branch. Video really helped.
    I had one thing in my mind.. i had worked in ICU after MBBS . And intubation was always difficult for me.. will that improve with residency? Should that be a factor in me deciding whether or not to take branch? Please guide

    Ma'am our society is very discriminatory when girls want to choose any branch other than obg, then people/ friends don't appreciate it. I love Anesthesia as a branch and thank you ma'am for this video.

      Mam, what will be the effect of increase in PG seats in future. 5 years back PG seats were only 25k, now it is 50k+, but in next 5 years it will be 90k+.
      How will the earnings be impacted?

    I am a south indian ,I am getting anesthesia in north colleges ,will language be a barrier for taking anesthesia in north ?

      U ll have to learn hindi eventually if u r taking up govt colleges..in pvt..dnb colleges ..English n a little hindi might work..but hindi is easy u can learn with ur colleagues..

    joined DNB anaesthesia at Bokaro general hospital.here neurosurgery, cardiac op, pediatrics surgery anaesthesia experience nil,so difficult to pass,can u suggest

      For now read n give exams attend conferences n cmes later do srship from a good govt hospital u ll learn.

      Dnb is also good..if u get a good institute with good handson ...but u can always learn things in srship but worth of md n dnb is almost same nowadays

      I have never heard of BSc n MSc anesthesia..and pain medicine also requires proper anatomy physiology pain management specialized training for practise.

    Mam, I got a decent rank and I always wanted to become an intensivist. My plan for future is to take CCM. Is it wise to take MD respiratory medicine or MD Anaesthesiology ? Which branch suites CCM more between these, so I can feel comfortable learning CCM in future?

      I think being anesthesiologists gives u upper hand in skills and taking pul medicine gives u upper hand in dealing with lung infections..thats it..rest is upto u how u would read and gain experience and from which place u do ur critical care fellowships..

      If it's md recognized ..u can take n later do srship of 3 years from a good govt institute.

      Plz start with some orientation books like Lee's synopsis or Oxford book of anesthesia then move on to stoelting physio pahrmac and always keep miller's as main reference book..for cases yaos anesthesia and anesthesia review course book

      Hello..after da u can directly practise as freelancer if u like in periphery for big cities or for doing critical care u need to have md or dnb so secondary dnb is the best option

      Yes u can run pain clinic alone after doing pain courses and run opd like any other speciality build clientage

      It depends upon individual n choices...i love the branch n never regretted..earning is good enough ..if u want more u got to work hard ..also u get a lot of time fr family n alternate career options
