OMW those tiny trikes look sketch asf.

That’s the Liberty Spirit trike designed to be used in competition. They’re made of aluminum to be lightweight and compact. The chassis is clamped under the rear axle tube to bring the center of gravity as low as possible.

@@fasst45072 that makes sense. I am assuming it's not for beginners though as there appears to be little room for error at 2:15 as it tips forward...

I screwed up a landing and tore my ACL. A year later and my leg is still weak. Thier instructor failed to communicate with me in a way that I was able to land safely.
They will tell you, "don't look at the ground.". This is a lie. They think it is a lie for your own benefit, but my damaged leg is proof that it isn't. This school will knowingly lie to you rather than trust you to understand nuisance.
In particular, instructor David Taylor is incompetent. After my injury, he told me that it looked "cute" how my legs were dangling looking for the ground as I was trying to land. As far as I'm concerned, he can go to hell.

That all sounds reasonable and normal. And no you shouldn't look at the ground. They should have told you when to flare for your first landing if you looked like you weren't able to judge it correctly yourself.

I had several instructors while learning how to skydive. Every single one told us not to look at the ground. I was looking more towards the horizon and having good landings. Another new guy was looking at the ground and having terrible landings. Sorry about your injury. It sucks to hear that but accidents happen. It's not their fault you signed up for this.

@@turkeyphant if I don't look at the ground, how will I know when to flair? There's a difference between "don't look at the ground" and "don't look down at your feet"

@@lobbyrobby if you look at the horizon, then about half hour view will contain the ground!
