All the car youtubers such as this channel should stand up and satsnd against ulez and maybe get to the protests too shame none of them have stepped up for this ulez nonsense as its really gonna hit even these channels too as they always used to get old bangers too and some good classics, also effects all of us people.

I was hoping Alex and his co youtubers would have done exactly that. Unfortunately some CZcamsrs opt to stay out of politics for all sorts of reasons. I can relate as the campaign would have been so much better pushing back if we had vocal voices like them, Wheeler Dealers, Fifth Gear, Top Gear, Grand Tour and so on saying stop the bs. 😢

Great addition to your fleet! Just budget for rear air bags replacement and possible yellow grommet leak and you'll be fine. Bought mine on 70k and she's now on 140k with just those two issues mentioned. Both cheap and quick fixes. Enjoy the luxury of an F11. It really is a great car and they've aged pretty well too 👍
Changed to springs on my old mans F11 touring after constant air suspension failures, however with Alex towing the bags may still be the best bet.

I got my f11 535d last December and couldn't be happier. It's a monster, perfect all rounder for me. Loads of space, beautiful smooth power, and only things it's needed was discs, pads and tyres. It's been super reliable and about 45mpg on a run. And it's ulez compliant. Winner winner.

My £1500 BMW was a 2010 635d Coupe with 204k, almost every option ticked inc CarPlay fitted 😂
Did have about 13 things wrong with it but as a whole it drove well and absolutely flew!

I used to own a 99 accord type r. Sensational motor. Although did suffer from a bit of rust in the end 😅
Although not a Type R, I had an Accord 1.8 iVTEC SE (all leather and spec)... AB-SO-LUTE-LY LOVED iT! It drove SOOO WELL! Even simply just fitting a cone air filter helped improve the sound of the VTEC roar... I love the shape of them too! I miss it, shame the sills went badly on it and couldn't affor to get them sorted or I'd still have her... 😟
@@thedarkknight1971 my brother had the 1.8, they shifted pretty well for what they were. And yea, sills went on the type r. If I knew the price they would have got too, I would have kept mine

I think it's because their last 6 videos have all been about buying cars and there hasn't been too much else to them. Then the E30 and Van videos seem a bit odd and one off, I know they're doing a camper conversion but I think it would have made more sense to have finished this "series" before releasing the van one. The Nurburgring videos were great and they followed on from each other. In contrast the van "series" (I dunno what else to call it) episode 1 and 2 will have a two month gap between them probably.
Maybe showing a bit more of the purchasing of these cars would have improved this video? Then if these cars aren't going to be featured in the future maybe this would have been a better second channel video?

That Accord Type R find is amazing. I had the normal 2.0 vtec version of that, great handling car and very reliable.
A 530d touring is an extremely good shout. I bought a 330d touring recently-about the same age-but the lack of refinement is a bit of a let down. Might swap it for a 5 soon.

Just bought myself my first car a blue 2005 jaguar x type 2.0 diesel manual 108km mot till February picked it up for just £1500 mechanically all good has had bits and pieces replaced recently lovely motor.

Good to see the channel growing into a genuine 3 guys messing with cars and taking the piss out of each other I know it's an obvious top gear comparison but this actually comes across as genuine unscripted fun, whereas top gear just got stale and forced you seriously need to realise there's more cars than BMWs though 😅

Seeing the Type R for £8k with issues, and on the market for a good one is £10-12k makes me cry. Sold mine which was in excellent condition for under £2k about 10 years back. Should have kept it in a garage!!

I just bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and the insurance on it is ridiculous. A mate borrowed it and they wanted 75£ a day temp cover for him so it’s not just me. Be aware when buying !!

I absolutely adore my e70 35d. I'd say to be wary of the emissions equipment but that seems to be taken care of. A good engine remap and xHP stage 3 livens up the car so much, I couldn't recommend it more.

Taylor, the last M57s were put in the facelifted E9x 325d/335d, so u could even have a 2-3 years newer car (around 2012) still with the M57

By the way... the best way to get rid of spilt petrol smell in your cars carpet is to generously shake baking soda on the area, leave it for a day and then vacuum it up. Actually leaves quite a nice “new car smell” 👍🏼

I think my dad sold his 2013 x5 40d with all the options for 13 grand up in Scotland, they still hold their value fairly well as the Lez stuff is only just starting to come into play here.
Thumbs down for the clickbait title and honestly pretty lackluster video. You were lucky enough to have a following that transitioned from CT to your own channel, but looking at your subscriber count it’s been pretty stagnant since some time, maybe some food for thought for you. While the 3 of you’s chemistry is OK, albeit it gets a bit cringey at times, your content is a bit all over the place. You “started” a whole lot of “series” which nothing seems to have come of them (trading up, M3 Touring and others), as well as buying random shit and making a 2nd video of “spending x amount of money on car” . Not to mention buying all these shit cars is so far off from reality, not anyone has Taylor to work on a broken car or specialists doing work at (probably) massive discounts. I’d say you should focus your content a bit more into a more cohesive/consistent narrative. Just my $.02

Had an F11 530d SE LUX a few years ago with an amazing 77,000 on the clock (pre LCI too) and it was a great cruiser. Quick, comfortable just a bit boring. I used to average about 36mpg personally but the torque surge was quite addictive. Mega tow car though, they'll drag anything, just lacks the 3.5t tow capacity.
You can’t tell Alex is married and getting on a bit, instead of cruising around in a £200 shitbox he’s cruising around in a new(ish) 5 series he bought for £8k 😂

I bought an E46 convertible 320ci on 250,000 miles for £900 with a years MOT had 0 issues so far just needs new front wings as they’re rusty and a good polish all around rest of the car is mint for the mileage

I had a 5 series with a tow bar like that, it WILL break on you, as the internal gears are made of brittle plastic. It looks like a cool option, but it really isn't
This is the only channel that makes my 400,000km, $3200 e46 320D purchase look like a normal decision and I love it for it.

I own a e70 sd like Rorys, but clean. Owned it for a few years never let us down apart from electric hand brake module. I think Rory will have to put a good few thousand into it. The oil leak, check the charge pipes off the turbos they sometimes perish and leak oil.
This is by far my favourite automotive channel. The content is top tier

I paid alot of money for my E70 M57 X5.... I've had it 7 years now, bought it approved used and its been fantastic.
Dose need some TLC every now and again but it's awesome!
The oil is like that because it has fuel in it, cause is either the DPF that is full and cannot make the proper regeneration (and the unburned fuel is leaking in to the oil pan) or smth wrong with the injectors and also is leaking fuel in to the head of the piston and passing through in to the oil pan. P.S That could also cause the boost hose to split, aaand also the reason for all that smoke. PPS Maybe 😂
The N47 engine is only Euro5 as far as I know. The B47 is the later euro 6 engine. 2014 was the change over year.
