A lot of interesting points made here. In general I stay out of it.
My goal on my channel and show has been to present people who do Kajukenbo. How and why or if they're legit is up to the viewer to decide.
The way I look at it. If they're a fraud my viewers will know. Now I try my best not to interview frauds. But other people's opinions on how they practice Kajukenbo or lineage stuff is on them.
As far as the greater Kajukenbo community. I learned a long time ago I have no power what so ever on other people's actions and opinions.
In other words I can have an opinion about what another Kajukenbo practitioner does. But it has no bearing on their actions.
I've found it easier to say nothing. Most of the questionable actions of these people are being noticed by higher ups (even when they are themselves higher ups).
Will this be the end of Kajukenbo? I asked that question once and got the whole community in tussle over it. But in my opinion. Nah. Kajukenbo has a big enough community that it will continue long after I'm gone. Which is awesome.
Kajukenbo helped me out of the street and kept me out of trouble. I'm happy to know it will continue to do the same for others for generations to come.
Great video brotha! All the best.

Thankful for your comment. I really appreciate it when someone takes Thier time to share Thier thought's. I think it is important to speak up about things but I also think it is important to do so in a constructive way. You Sir are good at that, again I appreciate the feedback. If you all have yet to check out Angelo's channel he puts out some good stuff. Thanks again bro! 🙏

Aloha! I concur with everything presented in this video. I have experienced all that you have stated in my own journey.
Sijo is very proud that you embraced your truth and courage to present what is obviously a problem and one that would not exist if he was still in the physical with us. I will be posting and sharing this video on my Facebook page in support brother!
    Mahalo - 🙏🏻🙇‍♂️🦋🐉🤙

I'm not so sure about that. Then why the in fighting and poor behavior by some?

So, you have a problem with Kajukenbo schools adding other martial arts into their curriculum? I always thought that was a major tenet of Kajukenbo, though: stay innovative and add things that work into the system.

No, that wasn't my point at all. My point was if purity of the style was indeed Thier concern then they would have issue with it. I believe that we should always strive to make sure that we attempt to improve and make sure that Kajukenbo remains in the forefront. Hope that makes sense. I was saying that claims have been made that what others are doing while at the same time those who point the finger are doing it themselves.

And you are correct that we have always been in the business of improvement. If we did not there wouldn't be so many styles of Kajukenbo and within those different methods
