Ok TW had some good deals but bad they started to go down a bad road . I agree they use to be ok . I bought about 5 figures from them . I may have hit a good day but when you order two item in the same week and the one you bought last shows up before the one you bought first is ridiculous. I bought a Christopher Reeves superman new (wink wink new :hint it wasn't) first then saw a an Akiras bike at really good price second . Mind you it was one week difference I got the bike 3 weeks later AND THE SUPERMAN ALMOST 4 MONTHS later . Holy cow mind you I got a few hard to find stormtroopers on there and they came 3 weeks later (mind you the shipping was not what i agreed to) and I got another figure single one figure took me close to 5 months to receive . Mind you most of the figures stated new . Ah no trust me I understand they where used . Life has a funny way of kicking you when your down .
I agree man, but i think they are taking a turn for the worse, especially when Justin's Collection left them. The whole thing was just too abrupt, and it caused a bank run of some sort. I am still hoping i could get a refund of my last purchase.

TW should stand for “The Worst” because Toys Wonderland is the absolute worst. So sorry they got you too. Their “business “ practices are abominable and I highly advise any and all collectors to stay far, far away from them, as well as Comic Sanctorum, which TW owns.

It was probably documented “correctly” Reuel. Death & taxes = you CANNOT escape them. Sometimes you get “lucky” and the “creative paperwork” (which technically IS illegal since it’s declaring the incorrect retail cost to a government agency) saves you a couple of pesos. But you HAD to expect that paying taxes might become a reality with this set. Only an idiot would think that a box that big contained an item that was worth $50 - $100 USD. I get that your excitement for it waned as you felt you had paid a premium for faster shipping only to sit and watch others SELLING theirs for less than you paid. That’s 100% on Tee Dubs (and also applies to their “sister” company Con Sank) & is only one of a MULTITUDE of issues collectors have had with them. Rant with your wallet & never buy anything from them again. That’s what I’m doing. It’s the only way to REALLY affect change. Lastly, it could have been SOOO much worse. Customs could have inspected your item and destroyed it in doing so. And there was NO WAY Tee dubs was going to help you with that!
They documented it as something used for our dialysis center because of my address. So no, it was not documented correctly. And teedubs and "gina" do not have the time nor interest to fix that. You are right that it could have been worse, but still, it does not give them a pass. i am sticking with local retailers now for my 1/6 needs.
How much was the declared value? Was it MORE than $1000 USD/the amount you paid/the actual retail value for the figures on the market? If so, I have petitioned Customs in my country for a partial refund on the taxes due to the product being incorrectly coded by the retailer and received the money back. The Philippines might be an entirely different ball game though. I think the other “take away” from this is that PATIENCE can be a virtue. Waiting is tough, but the tincture of time can be VERY rewarding in that it makes you aware if an item is really “worthy” of being in your collection. I think this set is WORTHY & you should enjoy it. Otherwise, what are you doing this for? Despite the extra taxes & waiting, if it doesn’t satisfy you, sell it. There’s always something else you can do with your hard earned money that should be pleasing/necessary to pay for. As far as collecting 1/6 figures, it may be much harder to do in the future as Hot Toys seems to now be turning back to making their products more exclusive with limited production numbers. We’re all going to have to stop when we run out of display space anyways… or die. Death & taxes my friend. Death & taxes. 😉
