- I know it might seem like I share too much on these social media sites, but there is actually a lot i don't tell you.
As you might know these last few years have been difficult for me. I've been in many battles, and it's true when they say that you're greatest opponent is yourself. Depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation was all I knew for a few years, but things are starting to change now.
I'm amazed at how quickly life has turned around these last few months. There were literally weeks when I couldn't even get out of bed because the fear was too strong, and now with you're help I'm heading to Paris.
For whatever reason my high school didn't have a 10 year reunion (or the evite got lost in the mail), and even though social media kind of eliminates the need for actual reunions, it is still a valuable marker in ones life. I'd like to encourage anyone going through a hard time with this; Life moves on. Pain is temporary, and you can't wait for anyone to make you happy. If you have a dream, it is your a responsibility to at least try.
Nobody's perfect, and we're all broken. Let's pick up the pieces together.

Victor, this will probably get lost in your pool of messages but I want to write you this anyways. I have been a fan of you for years and this past year I was diagnosed with major and chronic depression as well as panic and anxiety disorders. 4 times, I have escaped death from suicide. Gosh...when I saw your message to everyone today, I was truly touched. I am so glad to hear that you have overcome your suffering. If you ever feel that depression coming back to attack you again, I hope you can use your BEAUTIFUL voice, your dancing, and your art to pull yourself out of that hole. It isnt easy to open up about this, but you are an inspiration. I havent been able to go to school and have been at the hospital everyday for months, and it feels pretty weird being kinda of disconnected with the rest of the world. It's great to hear that you're getting back on your feet. I've not admitted to anyone yet but I'm currently in the same boat, just a little behind you, in the sense that I need to pick myself up and continue moving forward. I hope to be able to get to where you are today. And dude, you're awesome! Your songs and your dancing.. keep sharing and keep smiling!
Victor Kim has to be my number one role model. I remember when i first saw you on ABDC. Your the reason i became a bboy and your the reason why i started to get serious in dancing. Your style in Dancing, Music, and Art has truly inspired me into the arts kinda person i am today. I'm glad your fighting and winning this battle. At the end of the day you can consider yourself "Victor'ious!" (HAHAHA SEE WHAT I DID THERE) and then celebrate with some milk and cookies :3 In all honesty though, your return makes me so happy and i am super excited to see your future and to see you grow into the King you are. I don't know and perhaps yet to know why would people suffer from depression but I am glad that you've gathered enough strength and courage to walk out your past and knowing that you are starting to continue inspire others with your passionate dance and beautiful voice that is unique in your own way. I remember when and how I first discovered you many many many many years ago, I was such a big fan and still am. I admired the facts that you were smart, humble, down to earth, open, honest, multi talented, hard working and real. You were always so nice to your fans, new or old. I sought inspiration from you for many years and was deeply saddened when you stopped being online as that was the only way I could know what you were up to and when you left Quest. Quest isn't the same without you. As a person going through the same things as you, I was actually blown away that you of all people was diagnosed with CD. I never would of imagined that someone I deemed so strong and positive would be have it but I'm happy you're doing better and you're getting help. I on the other hand am another story. What you wrote in the description really touched me, as I've been struggling with black thoughts and ideas about suicide since my teenage years (like many others I think, unfortunately). I'm glad to see that you're in the path to recovery now.
You're awesome, you already achieved so much, and it's essential to keep having goals and to go outside of your comfort zone, like you're doing by going to Paris. That's what we need to get ahead in life.

i hit a wall as well it took me really hard i gave up on everything the 3-4 years that i devoted 10 months ago
just vanished im coming back again but this time i will not stop and i am glad your feeling better well we both are and i hope you continue to do all that you do and inspire more people along the way because you will always be my main source for inspiration and motivation to move forward thanks for being you and i know you might not even see this comment but i am really thankful victor you changed my life.
Hey Victor, I was suffering for 4 years, I worked, I went to school and I didn't have anyone to lean on for support. I was so depressed and alone....I didn't think someone like you with friends, family and exciting things going on in your life could hit depression, but I've learned that it can happen to anybody. Anyway, I had my big break when I went to PARIS. I had to stop thinking inward and start thinking outward if that makes sense, there is so much more to life! I hope you will enjoy, they say it is a city of romance or lights :) and yes nothing in this physical world is permanent.
Victor, I suffer from depression too, so I totally know what you're going through. But the world needs more talented and--above all else--KIND people like you. I'm glad you're on the road to recovery, but if you ever start having these feelings again, know that we (your fans) love you and will be with you every step of the way!!

I don't think you share too much I'm glad your open about your struggles. I've dealt with depression myself and every time I've tried to hide it, because I always felt ashamed. Sometimes it helps just to know your not alone. So thank you for being open, and thank you for being an awesome person :).

None of us may really know you - or at least the vast majority of us, your fans, don't - but I'd like to think that we don't have to. You're human, we're human, and that means something, even if so many people discredit what it implies. What I mean to say is that just because we don't know you personally, I don't think it means that we have no right to care about you, so from the bottom of my heart I can tell you truthfully that I'm happy for you. Everyone goes through things in life that are rough, and everyone's weaknesses are different, so those rough spots are damn hard to compare. I feel no shame is saying that I'm proud that you're getting through your own rough spots.
As for sharing on social media sites? Well, we're human too, and seeing as I'd like to think of CZcams as one of the more innovative and caring social communities, I'm pretty sure I speak for all of us when I say that you'll always have us, and we've always got your back.
I'm glad you're back. Honestly, you're an inspiration, and don't forget it, yeah? No pressure, no worries. More than anything, it's your humanity and ultimate strength to get back up after you've been knocked down that makes you a hero, not your invincibility. Regardless of my struggles, the struggles of your other fans, or the struggles of any single individual we'll each meet in our lives, when you put your heart out here and tell it to us the way one person would to another... well... it means more than I'm sure words could describe.

I'm in the same postion at the moment, I feel a lot better and my anxiety levels are so much lower but I still have to work on it every day. Thank you for sending this message out to your fans, we understand and support you in everything. I feel like you're a great rolemodel for people with mental health issues. Good luck for the future, I'm sure you (and I too) will be okay.

Victor, I can say I feel you, because I myself have gone through tough times. As individuals we all have. But at the end of the day, with all that we experience, as long as we know how to pick ourselves up and remain optimistic, that's all that matters. Of course know that you're not alone. It helps to have a good support group. Don't you think so?

I found out about your depression like a few months ago and I just wanted to say that I'm happy you're getting better now. Anxiety and suicidal thoughts are one of the hardest things people deal with nowadays. And seeing how strong you've became makes me feel stronger. It is definitely a joy to have you back making content for your fellow fans. Whatever happened stays in the past and there should be no reason to dwell on it. Your dancing brings entertainment as well as art to CZcams and towards people who watch your videos. Keep going with your passion bro! (You're not sharing too much on social sites by the way)
Nice to see that you're doing better. Everything you said is completely accurate. Pain is temporary and life does move on. I've had issues with anxiety and depression and had suicidal thoughts in my life too. I've learned that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and that everything I've been through has made me a better and stronger person. I've been going to group therapy for about 4 years and have been on medication for my panic attacks, and even though things aren't exactly where I want them to be still I see light at the end of the tunnel. Glad to see you've found what works for you and you can keep doing what makes you and others happy. Love your videos, I would do anything to have your talent. You have a lot of good things going for you.
you definitely didn't deserve to go through any of that. But, I'm so happy that you're getting through it and that you are feeling happy again. We've all been there. But some are just more resilient than others. I think suicide is the most selfish thing a person could do. To think you would leave this world and not think or care about the damage and hurt you will be causing others.... Even more heartbreaking, that a person could reach to that point, feel that dark and alone and feel they are out of options..... Life's a bish, man.

I'm glad you are back, I was wondering where you were and now I see what the reason was. I missed your videos, I'm so sorry that you lived moments like that but God is always faithful you only need to trust him and put everything in His hands, if you want to be healed completely go to Him, give HIm your life, accept HIm as your savior and He will give you salvation, eternal life and you will feel more loved than ever. That depression will go away permanently and will never come back know that. God is the only who can give you peace of mind. I don't know if you are going to read this message but I hope you do. first i didnt get over it that you had depressions because you are one of my biggest inspirations at dancing. I though your life couldn't be better than it seems really perfect. Actually i dont know really if there is a reason or if it's stress and fear but my way to get over it is about taking a break recalm myself and think forward to the next good step i am doing. I always be behind you even if my comment is about 1-2 years afther this video.
