- MAGNETISM is a full dome planetarium show that demonstrates how the Earth’s magnetic field protects our planet from energetic particles from the Sun and galaxy, and how the magnetic field also protects the water in our atmosphere from being swept away by the solar wind. It shows the first aurora seen simultaneously from the ground and from the ISS, and tells about the MMS mission (Magnetospheric Multiscale) and its quest to understand the magnetic connection between the Earth and the Sun.

Where can a planetarium download this show in fulldome format? I can't find it on the IPS fulldome resources list, on ESA's fulldome videos list, or anywhere else except as a flatscreen version . Little help, please? Wait.. Evans & Sutherland... does that mean it costs thousands for a planetarium to show it?

You know, I wonder if The Large Hadron Collider at CERN could be screwing with Earth's own magnetic field. I mean, it seems pretty logical to assume that one large electro-magnet could attract another one, if they were relatively close to each other. So why not a giant magnet and Earth's magnetic field? It seems to me that should be something they might might want to explore. Safety first..........

The artist drawing of the magnetic field looks so powerful. Hard to imagine a neutron star with BILLIONS times more strength than that of Earth. BILLIONS TIMES STRONGER! That is obscene! AND if you could scoop a little teaspoon off the actual star and bring it to Earth it would weigh more than MT EVEREST! WHAT!!!!!

I hope someone answers this. Does the magnetic pole shift affect earth's climate or weather? Or has anyone done any research into this?
It can affect climate only one way,because magnetic field weakens significantly during the shift,it has the same effect as solar minimum 》more cosmic rays hiting earth and atmosphere 》global cooling. And right now we have both solar minimum AND weakening magnetic field. Ice age coming soon(now) is not far-fetched idea,we are towards end of interglacial period anyway .

Can you see the vortex that is earth?
From this it's not hard to deduce that all matter has an electromagnetic field. Our bodies also have an electromagnetic field that we can learn to sense and manipulate with practice. Environmental electromagnetic pollution affects us directly by impacting upon our personal EMF, however negligible the field forces may seem, and that includes anything through which electric currents pass, electronic devices, speakers, wiring, etc. Vibration and the varying wavelengths of light and sound also affect us.
I suspect we have numbed ourselves to much of the environmental stimuli as a result of our cacaphony, flashing lights, and droning motors, enough so that many of us find it increasingly difficult to feel a connection to this Universe.
Like our planet we can protect ourselves from outside EMFs somewhat by cultivating and mastering our own internal electromagnetic field.
Have you ever sat motionless in still water for some time and meditated? Try it sometime and look what happens to the bubbles and where they cling. Seeing is believing.

So easy to make a conclusion like that. What they mean is that the energy for driving the earth's climate comes wholly from the sun. Another fact is that the man has put some extra CO2 into the atmosphere, causing the sudden warming of the climate. THAT is not caused by the sun.

The term universe is very and increasingly overused. Everything has to be clearly defined and understood. Outer “space” is not to be referred to as SPACE. Gravity, as it has been written, is an interaction. It is fundamental. The term inertia is now redefined as “inertia/inertial resistance”. BALANCED inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE is fundamental. Einstein never nearly understood physics/physical experience. Here are the facts.

im sorry nasa but what im about to convey may rattle a few heads but the presentation off how the geomagnetic field is not accurate as a north and south pole do not actualy exist yes the earth creates it geomagnetic field but by way off curve linear so in turn the idear off a north and south poles do not exist it is the sun that maintains the earths geomagnetic field it sustains it i will not go into great detal how but i will say throught the earths geomagnet precession that the force created i,,e lowest pressure medium and other forces inpeding on it it is not unusual for a reversal or flip all magnetic fields will reverce at one point in time
