The Cowboys are paying the price for being indecisive. If they wanted to re-sign Dak, they should have done it earlier before Kirk Cousins and Jared Goff signed their new contracts. If they wanted to move on, they should have gotten his replacement.

Dak wants $60M, CeeDee wants $30M to $35M, Micah wants $35M. The 2024 NFL salary cap is $255M. So those 3 players will be around half of the Cowboys’ salary cap. Hard to make it beyond the Divisional round when you only have half the salary cap to pay the remaining 50 players on the roster. CeeDee is the real deal, so he should get paid. Micah is good for the first 12 games or so, then he runs out of gas or something when it comes to getting sacks. If Dak doesn’t get beyond the Divisional round again after 2024 season, that’ll be 9 seasons he didn’t get it done. At that point, try someone else who costs a heck of a lot less so you can beef up your defense more. Hard to beat another team if they can eat up the clock by just ramming the ball down your team’s throat and run the ball like crazy.

Dak should do whatever Dak wants to do. Someone is going to pay him too much money next year. (Think Kirk Cousins)
Having said that, I hope the Cowboys let him walk, or if they resign him, resign him in the 40 million dollar range. If he wants to stay a Cowboy, and the Cowboys want him, then bless him.
18 wins and 24 losses for his career in the regular season against teams with the .500 or better record.
Additionally, I'm amazed how many people, many of them being experts, can be so delusional that they think he actually deserved to come in number two in the MVP voting last year. Yes, his stats were great, but against the really good teams how did he fare?
He played horribly against San francisco, the Bills, and even played poorly to lowly Phoenix.
Yes, they won 12 games last year, but the telling games that really are a barometer for how good a team is were uncompetitive disasters. And key to those losses (although of course, not entirely his fault) was Dak's individual play in those games. His competency level was not up to par in giving his team a chance to win.
History repeats, and too many times Dak has shown in the big pressure games of the regular season and the playoffs that he cannot get it done. You can see it in his body language. You can see it in his face.
Great guy, but not a big game player. We've seen 8 years of this now.
He can't put a team on his back and play brilliantly through adversity, serious adversity, like a Patrick Mahomes, or Tom Brady.
Anything can happen on any given Sunday, yet I don't see anything happening on any given Sunday for 3 or 4 weeks in a row in the playoffs. The Cowboys could maybe, slightly have a chance to win the Super bowl with Dak. However, 8 years of observation casts that in serious, almost impossible doubt.
This from a Cowboys fan who wants to see the team win another Super bowl before I die. LOL

Why does this guy assume Dak is it for the Cowgirls? Guy has consistently dropped the ball when under pressure in the off-season.
Lamb and Parsons I would agree with him but Dak is replaceable for this team - actually Dak should be replaced on this team.
But then we have Jerry and his 'all in' crap - Cowboys going to end up paying Dak because nobody else will come QB for them anymore, at the same time Lamb and Parsons are going to get paid by someone next year and if they have any sense it won't be with the Cowgirls - Jerry basically gave the team Free Agency by letting their contracts expire.

I love Brockman but why he out here spending other people’s money 😂😂😂😂😂😂
If Dak can command 60mils a year and him knowing that there is someone out there to pay him then Dak is well in his right to get PAID!!!!

Absolutely not. He should take every single penny he can get. He knows Jerry isn't about to hand the keys over to the bust at backup. This team isnt set up to win in 3-5years, they're set up to win NOW. (I don't think Dak is the guy to get it done, but that's irrelevant) Jerry doesn't have a choice. No QB, Lamb is useless. No QB, Micah is useless. No Lamb, Dak is useless. No, micah, they're still contenders, just slightly less.

As a non cowboys fan, i hope they pay Dak $65mil/yrs. That is possible because the Cowboys have been sorry, mediocre, and laughing stock for over 29 years. When the Cowboys won their last Superbowl, I was three years old. Now, I have a wife and kids. I don’t think I will ever see the cowboys making it back to NFC championship before I turn 80yrs old

      Oh, please pay him
Watching him piss his pants in the playoffs won’t be as fun if he’s on a different team

Where’s Rich?.. these guys sound like amateurs. Dak doesn’t need to take a pay cut to free up money for roster flexibility. They just need to sign Dak and Ceedee and bam. Real Money available. Why not do real research?
