Right, what is the more it's doing, I learned nothing except the O2 sensor stuff. The product description already tells me the number of ports.
This is exactly what I did last year. I stepped into Holley with the TermX loved it and worked great. Decided I wanted more I/O and picked up a Dominator and plugged it right in.
So we should call you at 1am to make sure our ECM has power heated leather seats and fancy rimz. Got it!

The biggest issue i have with the holley ecu range is the fact that to get more than 4 IO you have to get the dominator and not everyone needs or wants as much IO as the dominator has. I really wish they had an intermediate ecu. I love my termi x setup though.
they do. CAN i/o expander for 400 bucks adds 8 inputs and 8 outputs. talk about a STEAL

Thank you for the class! I do have one question: is there a reason why you can’t run the NTK O2 sensor on the Terminator since the harness is already pinned for it? I’m looking to go EFI and after watching all your vids, Holley Terminator is the way to go for my street car. Again, thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with us.

I didnt know any better and bought my HP directly from Holley. Live and learn I guess. Will be buying all my future stuff from a good Holley dealer.

I'll usually agree but in this instance, there no sense in buying capability you aren't going to use. If you're running a manual trans car with cable throttle body there absolutely no reason to buy the Terminator X Max (max does transmission control and drive-by-wire throttle body). If you don't have a use or need for all the logging and input/output ability of the Dominator or HP theres no point in spending WELL OVER 2X the price of terminator.

HELP, I just purchased the Terminator Xmax to control my 6.0 In my squarebody. I want to adapt a complete 2008 radiator and electric fan setup to my truck but the fans have low and High speeds. I also will be adding Vintage air system. My ECU has a total of 4
I/O’s. Can the Holley ECU be setup to control a 2 Speed fan setup? All I ever could find was simple On/off function based on temps. I’m bout to get a nosebleed from this.

the wiring is minor whats the difference in software? which will integrate with can bus? Which has both digital and analog inputs and outputs and whats the difference with dash connectivity? sensors also change every year sometimes what is compatible and what years are not? and what kind of safety systems do they work with such as abs, traction control, keyless entry ect. hard to listen to a guy whose explanation of the differences is simply "this one more money's" there is alot more to this but cant seem to find any info
I have pushrod 5.0 now. But want to eventually swap a coyote. So woukd the Terminator X Max be able to work with that because of the drive by wire capability?

What are typical inputs? My son purchased a track car already complete. We are not well versed in cars, including this one. It was suggested to toss the original ECU and get a Terminator X. I'm not sure what an input would be and if the four offered by the Terminator X would be enough.

I know this is an old post but; have you heard of the Ace's The Jackpot ECU? If so where do you rate it? Seems to do everything the Holley does and more.

What would be best for street use, I’m putting together a 347 for my 78 ford and I want to use the Holley high ram for the 8.2 deck ford small block because I think it looks good, im going to use a 5 speed manual so I don’t need trans control im only gonna be making 350-400 horse power with my combo
My holley dealer is my tunner when I got into holley efi I told him to pick out everything he wants to make it work and send me the bill and it works great

What about going from a 24x to a 58x? I know they say you can swap a few pins and change the settings on the ecu. But I’ve seen a few people one being a close friend which he swapped pins and changed settings yet it still wouldn’t work at all.

What's your reasoning on preferring ngk? Is it strictly fuel alcohol benefit? I have no desire for alcohol, just curious if you have other reasons for the preference.
Can you order the Termx with the upgraded O2 sensor you recommended? Or must you order separate? Also does it work correctly with E85?

On a natural aspirated 6.0 ls
Plenty of guys just fill out the wizard on the handheld and let it auto tune and it works great. It's not going to make as much power as a good tuner making an optimized tune, but you'll go up and down the road safely and have plenty of fun.
@Chris Farley if it got hydrolocked, it probably wasn't the tune. Stuck injector or shorted injector wire hanging an injector open would. Unless some idiot gave it way too much cranking fuel.

Not directly but you can copy and paste tables and settings to get started.

None of the Holley line support 6 speeds at present. You can however run a standalone computer for the trans.
I’ve bought a car with a Holly HP and the V5 30 program I want to update to the V5 110 program if I do that will it mess anything up with the tune or anything in the car program?
