Thanks. Helped my son out with his first CCF beret. Your instructions were much calmer and straight forward than the loud American videos on here!! ☺

Rule number 1 of being an army cadet, expect friendly banter between the different cadets :)
I learnt that because oooooh I'm in for a treat 🤣
@@rushergamingytyt in my corp we bully the green stars who don’t know anythibg
@daniel yeah that happens in mine too 😭🤣
Friendly isn’t the word I would use to describe what it’s like at my squadron
I swear I’m in the air cadets and the army cadets were fighting who had more power and authority with us 😂
Thank you! Mine makes me look like a post man
LOOL
I just wanted to say thank you over the past 9 years this video as helped a number of ATC, ACF, CCF and othe cadet force cadets. I know that I personally send all my cadets to this video for help in shaping there beret.
So again thank you and I hope that you are well
There's something wrong with you if you come to a tutorial to argue which cadet force is better
Gopi the Canadian Air Cadets by far
I'm pretty sure this is English
True.

Thank you. I needed a beret for my field training uniform. You help air cadets world wide (I'm a Royal Canadian Air Cadet)
Thanks for this video, I'm getting my uniform soon so I will check this video and tell the other basic cadets in my squadron about it.
This was very helpful. Probably the most helpful vid I have seen on shaping my beret. Thanks for posting it!
Thank you so so much! I joined the ATC about a month and a half ago and we just got your uniform and I wanted to be sure I got this right. A lot of your videos have helped me as well, thank you so much for making them! :D
Damn u got ur uniform hella late I got my unform about 3 weeks after joinkng
@@joshyy9189 he is not late you are early
Wow i got mine the day I joined
So many people arguing about army cadets being better but like it’s mainly army cadets that get lost when they’re on walks just saying
Hmmm really
@@adamwhyte1428 Ignore him mate, as you can see the guy just wrote some dumb shit. What are you Aaliyah? like 12?
U r correct
Air cadets are best XD
It’s actrully true
this video was made 12 years ago, yet i still understand it all and it is very helpful
Thank you so much I ownly just got my greens and had know idea on how to mould my berret. I didnt even know you had to mould it. Thanks to you it looks perfect :)
I would have loved to had seen an oporation where all the ACF, ATC, SCC, RMC and maybe the CCF on a training exercise!
Major help cheers :) Needed to mould my cadet beret for parade for rememberance day tomorrow!
Thanks for the tutorial, I just started air cadets 2 weeks ago so im a noob to the moulding, it doesn't look great but what's better a chef hat (what it first looked like out the packet) or moulded quite good and flat??
Thanks i just moulded my beret and now I'm wearing it on my head, im in a newly founded Cadet group called Thames Valley Police Cadets :)
this video was really helpful, didn't have a clue myself. Whoooo go ATC!!!! :)
thanks for this video! in finnish defence forces we have the same standards for berets so it was easy to follow :)
WOW thank u very much im actually using this vid and shaping my beret now! Its going good i just got my full uniform today so :) GOOD STEPS AND DETAIL EASY 2 UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!!!
Should it fold naturally near the badge when moulding? Or do I have to make a specific Lenny this between the badge and the fold???
im an army cadet and this is a brilliant tutorial thanks
Finally a good tutorial! Thanks :)
Don't do this just before cadets as it takes a few days for your beret to fully dry out. I'd only do this a couple of times when you first get your beret to make sure it's properly moulded but you're going to have to space it out, over the weekends or something so that it's dry for parade nights :)
Oh no. I did it one day before.
Air cadets is THE BEST!!!!! Got remembrance parade coming up
Really helpful have a wing inspection tommorow!
Thanks, really helped, got CCF tomorrow!
@OliIzzy I'm glad it helped and thanks for saying so. I'm 367 South Sheffield Squadron and I was a sergeant :)
Thank you for a very detailed tutorial :)
I'm in the canadian army and I'm being taught by a british cadet lmao
Very helpful video and nice to be told someone as lovely as yourself :D Thanks alot.

Yeah looking at this cus getting my uniform hopefully this week for the army, cus I joined the royal engineers, so hopefully this video will help
Don't fold the cap over the badge, flt sgt will eat you alive. Put the brass on full display and be proud of it. RAF Regiment 2622 Highland Squadron.

wow your beautiful! and nice tip for the beret, its my first time to receive a Military Beret.
thank you! this was helpful!
Thanks! Just in time for CCF on Friday :)
Thanks this actually works
@TwaddleFlip Glad you liked it. :) You can take the lining out but it doesn't make much difference, for us they were quite fussy about you taking it out as it looks better with a lining, also means your head is against the lining and not the wool.
Top marks - nicely put together and explained well - best wishes
Great video, embily!!! best on this topic on CZcams :)
Thanks, you helped me so much! (too shy to ask since I'm a recruit... >_> )
Wonder how to get rid of the sweat-induced stink in my beret.
Thought it will shrink in water.
Most enjoyable!, and interesting; as I can now prepare my WW2 re-enactment Beret.
I have put the badge on the beret but it literally pokes my head did I do it wrong
good thanks for the tutorial that will help a lot for my ccf beret
@ravcuk Hey thanks for the tips! Unfortunately we can only wear the berets we get issued and there's some debate about whether or not we're allowed to remove the lining. Our WO will rip the lining out of as many berets as he can whereas our CO tells us to leave it in. I definately would have taken mine out if I thought I could get away with it as it is a lot easier to mould without
I am in ACF (army cadet force) do you do the same ?? I may spin dumb because I wear the barack beret with the parachute regiment cap badge
Thanks this helped me a lot
Thanks for the tutorial it was very useful
i am a 12f squadron this has really help me
Good video helped a lot
I can’t take my badge off would it be okay to do it with the badge on?
hay thanks great vid im a trianing 1 star in mersyside acf and ive had to shape my beret a number of times cause of people changing there mind on the way i should have it but urm i will try yours and get my major's oppinion on it thanks :)
@NinjaNoobTurtle Congratulations! (sorry for the mega delayed reply) :) So you should be getting your uniform soon then, or do you already have it?
Thanks for the advice!
Just kinda perusing here after watching that excellent bulling video. Guys, really. I'm a Canadian Army regular and although the branches have always been rivals, we're all on the same side. Have respect for your comrades! The Navy ships the Army overseas, the Air Force provides that immediate support for operation ranging from close air support missions to casualty evac, and the Army makes sure both have a port or airfield to use. A team divided is not a team at all.
@HeatSeekingMissiles I hope it helps, just bear in mind that you may have to mould it a good few times before it actually improves. 367 South Sheffield, what's yours?
@GuitarVlog You're very welcome, glad you liked it :)
Hi that really helps. Should you take out the plastic square out of it? Also, my FS says that I should cut out the lining. Should I do this? Thanks.
What do i do if ive been putting off doing it for weeks but i dont have the cap badge yet
If you have stores where all the uniform is go to the person in charge and see if they have a spare one
I lost one of my trouser twists for my greens; could I use an elastic band until I get a new one?
This video was very helpful, thanks:)
EvilGaming x You're welcome :)
I have a question..I got a new beret (since i've just joined the air cadets)and it has a string in the leather band , what shall i do with it take it out oe leave it in?
@wikigeek I would do but i'm not in the cadets anymore and had to give most of my uniform back :( Is there anything specific you need advice on how to wear?
Hi I want to ask a question what tooth age To the Aviation Academy
thanks for the help!
this was a big help :) i almost ruined my beret
really helpful thanks, I started air cadets yesterday so haven't got my uniform yet
***** Yeah it takes 2-4 months for mine but I'm getting mine next week
***** Yep
It's hard, trust me.
If a beret has already been shaped will i be able to fix it to my head using this method?
Do you have to remove the badge from the beret
Just curious! if you know when did The 593 leave Ravensbourne for swanley? as in the 1980's early 1990's they were stationed in at The Ravernsbourne School.
Thanks, his advice was to cut it out but forget that it was him that told me to...so I will probably leave it in. Thanks for your help.
Very helpful video, thank you
How long do u have to wait for it to dry
*phew* Thanks for this! Hopefully, sergeant hardick wont bloody kill me :D
After I moulded it and let it to dry fully can I remould it in the next days aswell?
Thank you so much!
Thanks that really helps
@miky261 But you are in the Army cadets, so how do you know that's all we do?
on the beret there's a tie (bow) do you undo that when you are wetting the beret?
Hannah Buckley yes you do take that out
2117 Kenfig Hill, I had my beret shaped perfectly before it was ran over by a car but then I did the same technique as you and it's back the way it was, and with a messed up beret badge lol
This helps thx because I pass out on Friday yay
thanks for that, really appreciate it.
@theoutletsband you're very welcome :) glad you liked it
i was recently issued kit and i got a cap badge and flash with the beret
I am new to army cadets and I haven't shaped my beret yet. I just have one question: if the badge thing on the front doesn't come off, is it ok to get it wet?
@miky261 the cadets r one big happy family, scc, atc, mcc, acc, and embily, im joining tomorrow, are the air cadet berrets the same as the sea cadet berrets?
To make it easier to mold, shave it(you know like you would shave you're face) til it's half the thikness it used to be(remember to soake it first, dry then shave).
Don't shave all in one turn shave it multiple times! This is what we do in Norway, makes it easyer to mold:) And I would recomend shrinking it, cause that'll allow you to make it a perfect fit!
Hope this was helpfull to someone :)
@Birdi123ye thank you for saying so, glad it helped. Is this someone i know?
Thanks Really Helped
i'm not an air cadet but this still helps, thanks
how long does it take to dry?
@thesargo You're welcome, glad you liked them. What help do you need?
My SEA cadet beret has the badge sewn on so what do I do? Do I just get it wet
Does anyone know how to wear a belt that the uk land cadets? Really confusing
Thank you very much for this video! All others I found on this subject are difficult to follow. I'm not enlisted in any service. Just a collector of sorts (if you had to put a category on it) :P
Cool video, just a quick tip; if you take the black lining out of your beret it makes it alot easier to mould as the beret is thinner, when the lining is in, the beret is alot thicker and so in my opinion doesnt look as good and cant be moulded that well. Although some squadrons are quite strict about it because in essence you are defacing MOD kit!
Thanks a ton I'm only R.T.F and had no clue on how to do this ps air cadets rule
