  • In a big relief for homeowners, the finance minister has proposed an amendment to the finance bill, which allows taxpayers to choose between 2 long term capital gains tax rates for their properties. Essentially, the proposal says that taxpayers can choose between the new tax regime, which has a 12.5% tax but no indexation, and the old regime, which has a higher rate of tax at 20% but with indexation benefits. Now the big question is, when DOES indexation but higher taxation benefit us, and when does it not? Watch to know the math

    Madam I purchased site in 1995 for low rate and sold it on 1st July 2024 for higher rate.Can I get option because 12 half percent saves me 3 lakhs
