    How do you lead the chasse so the follow does a chasse and not just a standard 3 steps?

    • @EgilsSmagris
      @EgilsSmagris  Před 3 lety +4

      In Progressive Chasse to Right we have syncopated timing (12&3) and lowering in fourth step (or not lowering in 3rd step). These two things lead Lady to correct steps.

    Hi, may I know why its named progressive Chasse to right when the dancer is turning left?

    • @EgilsSmagris
      @EgilsSmagris  Před 3 lety +2

      Usually in names turning is indicated by natural (turning to right) and reverse (turning to left). Progressive Chasse to Right means that Man is moving to right.

    The dancers are well trained, that's true. But they spend so much time standing there and getting into position that it detracts from the lesson. If you watch the lessons closely, all that "prep" time lasts longer than the move being demonstrated.
