BMW M3 COMPETITION EXHAUST UPGRADE! Remus Downpipe-Back System | SHMUSEUM VLOG 23

- We're installing a new exhaust on the @Shmee150 BMW M3 Competition! The installation is carried out at @MotechPerformance with a full REMUS Downpipe-back system, and we can hear the before and after comparison.
The REMUS downpipe-back exhaust system consists of the RACING sport exhaust, connection tube package with valves, secondary-CAT-replacement tube and one of five tail pipe sets, and in my case we went for the carbon tailpipes. Is this similar sound to the AKRAPOVIC exhaust sound?
That drone would do my head in. Not sure Tim looks or sounds too impressed either.
You need to press M1 or M2 before startup in order to activate the M sound control, makes the cold start way better by opening the valves
Yep that is an option, but it is much nicer to start with M1 and then immediately go to M2 during the cold start mode. ;)

Yep yep
The ECU is locked, you can't install a pops&bangs map on the vehicle. There are companies stating that the ECU is opened by them, but I have not seen a G80 M3 yet with a tune. What you hear is the stock map on the vehicle.

The fuel shortage is a shame really. I am from Zimbabwe in Africa, and about two years ago we had serious fuel shortages due to hyper inflation and shortage of foreign currency for suppliers to source fuel. Fuel queues would stretch for miles and people literally slept in the queues, sometimes days on end just to get some petrol. The whole shaking of the car to fill the tank to the brim became common practice lol. Jerry cans became a hot commodity, and people would hold places in the queue, which they would "sell" for the right price to desperate people. Hope your situation there never gets to that.

For easy and convenient lining up cars you should instal some laser line projector os a wall or ceiling, so that you can have perfectly lined cars every time.

Tbh, the stock system sounded pretty good, especially for a daily driver but the Remus is Epic. Also is Schmarc150 a permanent feature on the channel now?
I saw one of these in person the other day and the big grill made a lot more sense. It actually integrates well with the rest of the design when seen in "3D" so to speak

It's been cracked for a while, it's been shown in some prior videos for a few weeks if I recall

I wouldn't have thought that you'd be the kind of person to delete filters and cats. The one thing i love about this sponsor deal is the Canbus thingie, making it possible to kill off the horrible fake engine sounds. That is cool, a must have if you drive this car imho.

Yes. Any modification a vehicle’s emissions system will result in an instant MOT failure. It may be possible to remove the “guts” of the filter and carefully weld back up the unit without raising suspicions.
The removal of the GPF could also cause an engine management warning light (EML) - again, this is also an MOT failure.

GPF / PFF removal is normally advertised for “off-road use only”. Tampering with a road-going vehicle’s emissions system is illegal and could invalidate your insurance if you’re caught up in an accident. You have been warned."

That car will be on a 12 month deal from bmw, the original exhaust will be back on it for when its returned, wont reach its first mot.
@@platinumjsi Obviously not too hard to re-install. If you have to pass MOT, just install the stock exhaust when it comes around.
I don't think they deleted the cat only removed OPF....I think as long as it still passes emissions tests it's not illegal to remove OPF
