- This is taco recipe is so good that you will never buy taco bell again. Making your own tacos at home is worth it and if you are used to fast food stuff you have to try taco al pastor. It might just be your new favorite food. It is for sure mine, specially done right like this.

"Ah yes, interesting..."
I feel your pain Bro
Where do you live? Except those chiles, the tomatillos and the quesostuff you should be able to get everything.
break I can easily find it in Sweden, where do you live?
That's how i feel as a mexican when i see someone cooking european food
I found almost everything in Amazon Pantry for my country (Spain) including the chili's and tortilla press. I'm pretty sure the amazon for your country has it.
Everyone is gangsta until abuela comes over and flips the tortilla by hand
grandmothers are the best at making food.

My mom moves the coals by hand
It's really easy? Just grab an edge that's sticking up slightly. Donm't have to be a grandma to do it. You don't feel pain because it's quick movement and your just holding an edge.
Love how every mexican collectively told him not to put mayo in salsa lmao
Adam Gonzalez especially the mayo he used
Dead ass
Well it’s just wrong if he wanted to keep it traditional
That’s my only criticism. Everything else looks bomb.
If it tastes good i guess its ok. No need to be traditional. But yeah deep down i do feel like im betraying my ancestors lol
Unpopular opinion: Honestly I'm Mexican and though it's not traditional, I'm not mad at the mayo. I tried it and I kinda liked it.
I'm Nicaraguense and I'm learning mexican dishes cus my guy is Mexican and we loved this sauce with the mayo. Not gonna lie, it added an extra kick to my flautas de pollo. Definitely gonna make this sauce more than once.
@@jessiematamoros7100 My wife is from Nicaragua and we don't make any other food except the food from her villages. I think traditional Nicaraguan food is superior to any other type of Latin American food.

Hi how many pounds of meat u use thx
Opps saw the video 13 1/2 pounds
Well this just isnt fair guga everybody knows real tacos are just plain better than taco bell.
taco bell is an amazing drunken snack, you're gonna end up trowing it up anyway
I love authentic tacos I’m not Mexican but I also like Taco Bell. Hate on me all you want but I like it
@@mightdai7489 I'm Mexican and I don't mind Taco Bell "tacos". Real tacos and Mexican dishes totally beat Taco Bell food (That's why there's no any Taco Bell franchise in Mexico, they tried twice and twice failed), but Taco Bell it's a tex-mex fast food franchise which objective is the fast service rather than an original dish.
Taco hell recently got America's best Mexican food restaurant....... not fast food but mexican restaurant lol. That pork looked to die for I'm bout to run this back
@@mightdai7489 how brave i bet the death threats are pouring in from all the enraged Latinos rn

Im mexican an actually that’s pretty accurate, in fact i wanna try his version, the only thing that i don’t really like were the salsas bc i see the more like a dip but i really feel proud and amazed on how respectful and good was his version, tks for give love to your mexican viewers :) keep rocking Guga!!! Saludos desde Nuevo León Mexico 🤟🏽🤟🏽
A huevo Carnal puro NL!!
I agree the recipe looks good but the salsas are a disgrace! Salsas don’t have mayonnaise
Salsa roja para el pastor
Lightswift only the one with chipotle, but it’s only used for seafood. For red meat tacos they’re typically without mayo but I’m sure there’s people out there that put some in their salsas
Agree! Salsas were not my favorite
As a Mexican I can tell you, my mouth was watering the entire duration of the video, I tip my hat to you, great recipe for us Mexicans living in the US, thank you!!!
Finally!!!!! Al Pastor is my favoooorite. My brother married into a mexican family and I was introduced to Al pastor and I never looked back. I can eat a whole pound of that in one sitting. This is the best video you have done by far, and I have watched many of yours! Im sharing this with my brother and sister in law!
Just say he married a Mexican woman lol why you gotta be all extra with that “he married into”
@@evelynhernandez-st6xh Are you triggered?? It isn't that much of a difference. My statement isn't incorrect is it? Did you not eat your wheaties this morning?
@@jasonharter4876 nah I’m not triggered boo, just sounded ridiculous that’s all 😉 you say “married into” if they married royalty or money not a culture lmfao 😂

Guga, i live in Tijuana, Mexico. Here we call it “Tacos de adobada”, and in my opinion you did a phenomenal job right there! I hope you see my comment
Jaime ahuevo tijuana
No you're wrong. As long as the meat is stacked its "al pastor" don't matter where. Al pastor is a cooking technique, adovada is a seasoning or marinade
@@arthurragan1332 they actually call them tacos de adobada I didn't know those facts but that's how we call them
@@DaddyVelxy if the meat is cooked on a turning spike, its al pastor, even if the the seasoning is adovada. Tijuana has this too
@@arthurragan1332 well whenever I go to tj and I go to a taqueria they called them adobada they even have like that in the menu
I’m Mexican and everything looked pretty good except the salsas (that’s understandable) we don’t put mayonnaise in them, but I’m Sure they were tasty
Well im also Mexican and well we do lmao, it depends where you are from, we do it with chipotle....but yeah....
You are low key pissed off don't lie. I get it too when people mess up Indian food trynna give their own touch.
We don’t... who? You? Your friends? Family? Mientras sea delicioso siempre es bueno experimentar, le quedaron poca madre las salsas.
Para tacos al pastor nunca se usa mayonesa en la salsa. Tal vez para mariscos o pescado, pero no para puerco.
Rando Buenfil The only comment that I think I could understand haha. Paraphrasing: “With pork, no mayo in salsa, but yes with shellfish and fish”. Wrong or right?
I just tried tacos Al Pastor today for the first time, and they were absolutely amazing! I would love to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing!
I just made this for dinner, with the tortillas and the avocado sauce and it's a 10/10 thank you for the video, super delicious and easy to follow and remember ❤
I made this too! It's phenomenal! I need to make my own Tortillas next time. I also used an alternative avocado sauce which had a bit more depth. But yeah, the marinade was phenomenal.
I’m Mexican and I think this is a good recipe, everything is fine execept the sauces jajaja (it’s understandable), we don’t put mayonnaise in the sauces and I think here are more more more spicy but is ok jajaja
And the meat (al pastor) looks very good, also the tortilla looks very good

leo alcaraz haha I feel it ... they call them adobada in Baja California too .. so I was confused when I first heard them referred as al pastor
Ya you’re an anime Mexican
I am Mexican and I'm loving your tacos. The salsas I bet they are really tasty, but traditional Mexican salsas go without mayo. The same with Mexican tortillas, they are mixed only with water. Tamales dough is the one that is mixed with lard. That being said, I'm pretty sure your tortillas were delicious with butter. Congratulations bro on some great looking tacos!
Guga I’m Mexican and I have try many different tacos from many different states in Mexico and I can assure you, your take on the tacos look amazing as well. I definitely got to give it a try making the tortillas with the butter
Guga, coming from a Mexican guy. That was legit.
That comment made anyone's day for sure!
Pretty decent. Just the butter got me wondering. And also the mayo in the salsas...
I vouch for this guy, Solo que en vez de fuego indirecto, fuego directo y rotando el trompito! Y si, cebollita y cilantro tambien.
Estoy de acuerdo contigo. Salvo las salsas, lo demás lo hizo excelente. Buen comentario, Viejo!

just the salsita doesn't need mayonese, but overall it looks great

hay que hacer un video de como se debe agarrar el taco correctamente!
Okay it's been a long time since I studied Spanish. But I assume you said you have to make a video on how should make the taco correctly? The only word I don't know is agarrar, I think I got the rest mostly correct.

Angel: It's got green stuff on it eww!!
Finally! I've been looking for a recipe for ages. This one looks legit.
Cooked this today and it was AMAZING. So delicious!
Tips:
-Take out the chili seeds before boiling water
-Use the press 2 times the first to make a tortilla, rotate the tortilla 180°, and use the press again very soft, to make the tortilla very flat
I always tell people my whole life I thought I didn't like Mexican food and then a few years ago I moved to California and realized I never even actually tasted real Mexican food. My first "real" tacos were Al pastor. The way Guga prepared it with pineapple is also my favorite way to eat them. Delicious!
I'm saving this video. Looks amazing! Thank you for your service and expertise Guga
I have to say that u recipes made my mouth water. I love tacos and u simplified the whole process and were totally clear and easy to follow. 👍
These tacos look revolutionary se ven muy apetitosos y las salsas se veían increíbles, incluso su carne al pastor se veía increíble
guga:'these are sour oranges'
me:it;s a lemon.
NOT IS A LEMON BRO ! IS SOUR ORANGES...
Random facts: it's about Guga's Brazilian roots. We call "lime" = "lemon" or "limão"
The typical yellow "lemon" is called "Sicilian Lime" in Brazil.
it's actually a hybrid, orange + lime i think.
Definitely a Sour orange...
@@jurusco are you sure?
Never would I thought I love another man. Dude you just showed me how to make my favorite taco
When he said sour orange I was like brother, why can’t you settle with limes?
IKR... in the description it say you can do 3 oranges and 1 lime so that’s what I did
naranja agria
Sour orange is not the same as lime.
i was trying to explain to my canadian husband what those one time and i was like see its like a lemon and an orange had a baby and he looked at me like i was crazy.

you the freaking man, bud. your videos are so good. I use pineapple marinade for a lot of cheap beef especially now to tenderize because of you. keep doing this.
I would love to see the written recipe posted so we can print it out. Tacos Al Pastor are my all time favorite!! ❤️❤️❤️
That looks sooo guuud! Nice camera work, great editing, overall a pro job on your videos!
The first food video that has actually made my mouth water xxx
until now the best production you have done.... looks delicioso!!!!
Bro we need to see a video where angel get blindfolded, thinks he’s tasting a steak, but he bites into a big piece of broccoli
Go Pack Go!
The punishment for the cast iron pan...
He would smell the broccoli
With the exception of the salsas(do not use mayo, for the love of god)... everything else is PERFECT! Congratulations. 100% approved by a Mexican taco master
About time a quick not boring recipe. Thanks a lot
These were awesome! Exceeded my expectations!
This looks delicious!!! I'm going to try this. I heard 500 degrees in indirect heat, but I don't think he said how long it takes at that temp. Can someone advise? Thanks for the great video!
The pastor was absolutely amazing, specially the way he tried to emulate the trompo.
I don't mind the tortillas, specially because that's basically the best you can get in the US, all store bought tortillas over there are trash compared with the ones back in Mexico.
But putting mayo in salsa without showing the world what real salsa is... That's sacrilege.
But you know, Guga is as much an artista as he is a scientist, so it's fine in the end.
Excellent recipe Guga! Truly great.
I didn't know you had another CZcams channel! This is great.
Fantastic recipe, my friend! Muchas gracias. I would only change one tiny detail. I would use sour cream instead of mayo for the sauces. I love this recipe because most people don't have the expensive equipment to cook it virtically the same way as it's usually done in Mexico. You've done a great job in making this simple. The end result is very impressive.
i was lucky this time, i had just finished dinner when this video dropped :D
DAMN that looks AMAZING!!
Looks incredible. Can't wait to try those sauces
The best taco video i have ever seen and i watched over 200 taco videos, easy to follow instructions Great,Great video !!!!!!
Guga, my friend, you broke my theory. I always thought that good pronunciation in English avoided the possibility of doing a good taco! Congratulations dear Guga, saludos desde Mexico!
I'm eating this right now. I'm so happy. Thank you.
so lucky xD
Oh my goodness! Looks delicious. Will try. Thanks
Oh God, my favorite food from my summer in Mexico.. Thanks!
Never knew about the avocado sauce with mayonnaise 😳
You changed my mind. That's a got to try
Note, when boiling the chili’s and then when you blend them, do it near the stove vents cause you can gas the house if one of those chili’s decided to be angry.
Just lots of coughing and some sneezing but it’s still isn’t pleasant.
Absolutely loved this video !!! Thanks
Cooking these Saturday. Thanks guys
Angel has a new hairstyle every episode. I dig it.
Mexican approved 🇲🇽
This recipe is excellent- simple and perfect. The sauces are great but it is the meat that stands out. I have been looking for a good taco al pastor recipe that rivals the Mexican restaurant close to my house. This is better. Man I gotta go to Mexico.
That one looks like so tasty. Even tough I am not Mexican Here in Colombia, my country I want to try it and make my own version.
Thank you Guga for making things what I would like to try!
As a Mexican I loved the recepie, just one extra tip... Take out the vains and seeds from the chile guajillo before hidration, even though it's not hot it will make your food a bit bitter!
Second! Lol love your vids. This is a good one once again!!
Thanks
I can not wait to try this recipe! Looks so good. And I may try making home made tortillas. Thanks for this video!
Looks amazing. Thanks for the fresh ideas

absolutely mouth watering, ill definitely try the homemade tortillas, the avocado "salsa" looks nice, i would have used sour cream instead of mayonnaise, and more lime juice.
Isn't the Mexican creme he used the same as sour cream?
Love watching your great cooking video. Keep up the great work 👍
I really like your version no matter what. Was a very good idea to make the tortillas with butter and also love the salsas with mayo.

I love the addition of the oregano to the recipe. My personal go to is orange juice and lime juice mixture -- but the sour oranges sound awesome.
This like a Mexican take on shawarmas, I love it!!
It is directly related, came from Lebanese immigrants to Mexico.
Also cut the pine apple edges vertically when you put it on top more juice will leak out while it cooks

Love you Guga!
That look's amazing. Watching without chance to do this at work. Once restaurants come back to Ohio I'm trying this.
2:18 This "but dont" hit differently
Right? Like, don't eat it because its disgusting or because you need it for the marinade?
Hello Mr Guga, How long did you cook it at indirect heat? Or what temp did you reach internally?
BTW, The tacos look great man :)
Just cook until the outside peices are cooked. Your not supposed to wait till everything is fully cooked. Look up " tacos al pastor en trompo"
This looks incredible!
Brother looks good going to have to try it
Amazing recipe!!! Making it again for my in-laws and I am sure they will love it as I do. Thanks!
Definitely going to make this!
