UTIs and Sepsis are no joke. I'm glad you're okay, Aki. My grandmother nearly died just 5 weeks ago from an identical situation to yours. Incredibly scary stuff. And I love your hair.

yup i had a severe yeast infection and i shouldve went to the er cause i couldnt walk right but never did, luckily over the counter uti medication helped but i had it for like almost a month on the outside and inside
I'm a doctor and my mom got the same infection, there were no symptoms and the bacteria travelled to blood and her case actually turned to sepsis. She did not survive it. I've never studied such a kidney infection and kept blaming myself that maybe i missed a symptom. Your video reassured me that her symptom maybe was like yours and i couldn't identify till it was too late already. Thank you for sharing❤ wishing you health ❤
I’m sorry you had to go through that and your mom passed away. I can’t imagine the guilt you must have felt because of your profession and what not. May she rest and peace and may you have continued good health.❤
3 minutes into the video and I'm STUNNED at how competent your clinic doctor was. The horror stories most foreigners have had getting proper care. They usually throw a few pills at you and hope they work.
Keep in mind though she can speak a proficient amount of Japanese and Joey is half-Japanese and a fluent speaker, so this isn’t probably a normal foreigner experience
I mean, they originally told her to wait until Monday and they begged the clinic to let her go to the hospital.. so they did throw pills at her and kinda ask her to wait.

And now imagine you are in Germany 😅😅 We pay only 10 € per day in hospital, but more for a private room. If you ever land in a German hospital: take your own food with you. Ours is real shit here. I had to bring my own jelly, because I thought its hospital food, turns out its not 😅😅

As a girl who holds her pee A LOT and drinks like 2-3 cups of water a day maxxx this is such a wake up call, we really need to be more careful. I'm glad you're all better aki♥️
UTI’s are pretty brutal at the best of times. Reaching the kidneys is next level. I’m glad you are feeling better. I’ve literally been feeling dehydrated and haven’t been drinking close to enough fluids so thanks for the warning to get on top of it. ❤
Same, and I work overnight as Overnight Pharmacist at my local hospital. This is a brutal experience you went through, and thank God you were able to come out of it without excessive trauma. Just take care of yourself and keep yourself healthy, we don't want you to need to go back to the hospital too quickly.
I'm Brazilian. When she said that the final bill was 850 bucks and even thought that was cheap I was like???? DAMN, that's cheap??? Because here in brazil this IS SO EXPENSIVE But then she said in the american systeam it would probably cost 20k, and I was just flabbergasted lol... I feel so bad for you guys Glad you're okay now aki ❤️
You’d think that our taxes should provide universal healthcare like many other countries but not only does America love to exploit its citizens, many Americans does not know that America sends over $3 billion every year to fund Israel’s free healthcare, in addition to even more American tax dollars going into their free education. And America says universal healthcare is “too expensive”.
Back in 2014, I had a 3-day stay for a kidney infection at an American hospital. It was nearly $50,000 (I was poor and a college student and it was a catholic hospital so they actually wrote it off as charity and told me I owed nothing, I may have believed in God for a brief moment 🤣). I actually shudder to think how much it would cost now. I am glad you are doing so much better and you listened to your body and got admitted! DON'T HOLD IN YOUR PEE, Y'ALL!
800 dollars is still mind blowing for a swede like me, I’ve been hospitalized for over a week 4 times and been in the hospital for a full week but sleeping at Ronald McDonald’s another 4 times. Alongside a bunch of heavy meds and scans. What did it cost me? Nothing, instead I got a bunch of money from it. I’m so glad everything turned out alright for you Aki, I never knew an UTI could be so dangerous❤
Oh my goodness, I'm so happy that you're OK Aki! Kidney infections are no joke and become very dangerous VERY quickly, so I am so happy that they caught it in time! The big do's for avoiding UTI's and kidney infections are definitely drinking a lot of water (your urine should be a pale-yellow color), not holding your urine in when you feel the urge to urinate, and to try your best to take showers mostly, in lieu of baths. Lastly, a BIG BIG BIG thing to do for everyone who has female plumbing, is to ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS urinate after sexy times (especially if your partner has penetrative equipment). All of this information is brought to you by my RN mother and her doctors (she gets UTI's super easily). Anyways, sorry for rambling! Again I am so, so glad you are OK and that your mom was able to fly out at a moments notice! Hopefully this information helps any of ya'll who suffer from UTI's (and to prevent future ones). ALSO, all of these tips work just the same for those of ya'll with male plumbing! Cheers!
At one point a few years ago my mom was getting frequent UTIs. She started taking a cranberry pill daily and it really helped. Since then she switched to drinking a small glass of cranberry juice daily and there's been no issues
As a nurse and fellow lady who also has a bad habit of drinking less and holding her urine, I vouch for what Aki is saying! Keep hydrated and pee when you need to pee. She had the worst case scenario called Pylonephriris (infection of kidneys), which is usually secondary to UTIs. We women have shorter urethras than men so are prone. It’s scary that you tipped to almost full sepsis which in itself is deadly. I’m glad you made it out there ❤ also when you mentioned your relatives I giggled a bit because alot of my greatest nurse colleagues in London, UK are Filipina.
As someone who is chronically having kidney problems : I am so sorry you had to go through this Aki. Worst pain ever, I don't wish that upon my biggest enemies. Glad that you got to the hospital pretty quick and got better ❤️ Drink a lot, walk a lot (if you can) and never hold your pee in, unless you really have to!
Hey Aki we, the community, are relieved you are much better now!! I normally don’t comment on CZcams but I have a recent story about the ER. About 2 weeks ago, my husband and I went to the ER because he couldn’t breathe at all. He has asthma and took both his emergency and daily inhalers but didn’t work. At the time he was sick and congested so he was having trouble breathing. We had to wait in the lobby but luckily we sorta passed “the line” to get seen as soon as possible. They gave him a drug shot for his lungs to open up and he was put on a breathing machine. At the end of all this, he was finally able to breathe but the cost of the bills are still processing. Like you said, American hospitals SUCK because of how expensive it is. I wasn’t able to pay the $200 co pay fee so I asked them to bill us later. Then the real bills will come in the mail. Keep in mind this is WITH health insurance. America is messed up in many ways lol. I wish you a fast recovery Aki 💜💜💜
Be sure to compare the bill with the Explanation of Benefits from your insurance company so you know they didn't tack on extra things you shouldn't have to pay for. You can call your insurance company and ask about anything that you're confused by. If you see anything on the bill that doesn't seem to make sense, ask for an itemized bill - a lot of the time they will end up removing frivolous things they've added. It certainly won't make things free but hopefully that will help get your bill down to something more fair.
The "I knew I was gonna be okay but it's different when you're in it" comment is so true. This reminds me of when I was 16 and had to get my gallbladder removed (In America so thank the gods I have decent insurance and I was still a dependent on my grandma) I knew it wasn't life threatening but damn it felt like it sometimes! So happy to hear you're alright and thank you for updating us! I've struggled with UTIs a lot throughout my later teens till now (I'm only 20) and they're just horrendous.
I had to have my gallbladder removed too but I was still on my parents insurance so the hospital bills turned out to not be that bad. I don't remember because my dad basically paid for it all, but he never said anything about it. I even had to get an ambulance when I was out of state when one of my gallstones moved into a bile duct..yet we never even had to pay for the ambulance ride, the insurance basically took care of it all so yeah, that insurance was kinda insane lol. My insurance now is crap..but I at least don't have to pay a lot for really basic stuff.
As someone who just had neurosurgery (cranial decompression surgery) and spent 3 days in the neuro ICU in the US - my bill if insurance didn't cover it was over $150K, over $60K was simply imaging and blood work. I am always impressed at the low cost of hospital bills around the world, honestly, because even though I knew mine was paid for, I nearly p*sed myself in terror. I'm so very glad you're recovering well
I was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disease (basically a chronic open leg syndrome) on Halloween after my boss saw my legs and send me home really scared because they all suspected a sepsis. Even my doctor wanted to admit me to the hospital because it was really bad apparently. He subscribed me with antibiotics and injections of Clexane and some ointment with Cortison. And it got a lot better since I get the meds. I have another appointment at the clinic in December to see what I can do permanently to prevent it from happening again. i'm just really glad you're doing good again though!
I'm glad they caught this in time and that you are ok, Aki. I understand your plight, since I turned 30, I have been having numerous UTIs that were being caused by three common triggers on what they called the three S's, 'Sex, Stress, or Sweat'. I'm so paranoid these days on anything that could trigger it because I pop AZO pills like candy or natural methods to prevent this kind of thing from happening since I dont have the means to get properly checked. ('Murica!) To all you people out there! STAY HYDRATED STAY CLEAN STAY RELIEVED
So glad to know you are getting healthier from your various illnesses. You and Joey are among my top 3 couples that You Tube from Japan. I wish America had better price points in health care. If my ankle surgery could have been done in Japan, it wouldn't have been SO expensive. But it is what it is. Please keep taking care of yourself and give Joey a BIG hug for being there when your world was so scary. Thanks for updating your You Tube viewers. I don't use the other types of social media.
it would have been free in Europe or at least charged much less than in Japan/USA, if done in a private clinic. I am appalled hearing prices for healthcare in other parts of the world. Hope your surgery went well as that is the most important!
@@Laura-vs6fs It did go very well, thanks. I had a wonderful doctor/surgeon. I'm all healed and up and around. I won't go into the price because I did get help to cover it. Before the help, it would scare any sane person to try and pay for it. It's what I deal with since I'm in America.
When you started talking about the bacteria levels in your body, my eyes started welling up with tears; I can't even comprehend how scary that must've been to hear. The sheer jump in percentage by ratio is so terrifying to think about. That's over 56 times the average amount... I'm not normally on social media, so when I saw this uploaded yesterday I was shocked and worried. I wasn't able to watch until today, but oh my goodness I'm so glad you're okay and that you and Joey were insistent on getting treatment immediately.
I'm so sorry this happened to you, I can imagine it's a horrible experience, and I know a bit of how Joey felt here because on the "positive" side, I was able to show this to my father who is 85 and just spent 6 weeks in the hospital for this exact same thing. He was told the exact same thing- DRINK MORE WATER. Glad you are OK!
As a person that had a UTI turn into a kidney infection plus kidney stones, that shit HURTS!! I spent over 24 hours waiting for care (in Canada) and it took about 3 days before I even received testing and meds. It was free, but the cuts to our provincial healthcare were brutal. It's so important to not only go in as soon as something is wrong, but also advocating for your right to care as well. As waiting for care in situations like this is so difficult. I'm glad you had Joey to help take you in for care.
I am viscerally angry at that hospital bill. When my husband was in the hospital and going through all his procedures I wondered how I was going to pay for all of it. Meanwhile you don’t even break the 1000’s?! I looked over at my husband and said we’re moving to Japan. 🇯🇵 By the way I can tell Joey really cares about you.
The Stent was the WORST part of the kidney stone ordeal for me, that thing felt like barbed wire inside me for a week, at the kidney docs office people were saying they have stents in for months and years, consistently, that would be unbearable.
@@masaharumorimoto4761 BRO STENTS SUCKED, i literally cried at one point bc i hated the feeling. it was a autism sensory nightmare. i had mine in for 2 ALMOST 3 weeks and the stone was so large. they let me keep it and its gnarly looking
I can see Joey's concern and love in his eyes. we just had a month long stint in the hospital for my wife and having our kids. I wore that same expression on my face the entire time. you've got a good one and I wish y'all luck. also to guys as well, DRINK WATER similar things can happen to men!
The shivers from being sick! I experienced those not long ago! I didn't have UTI, but a cold; I remember trying to get to sleep, but the shivers kept me awake. I had a sweatshirt, my pajama pants (which are basically sweatpants), and a big red fluffy blanket on, to try and warm up; I was finally warm enough to get to sleep. Although, the rest of the time I had my cold, it gave me weird sleep schedule!
Happy late thanksgiving Aki! I'm so glad it was caught early and that you're, for the most part, recovered. As an American when you wanted to talk about the bill I was ready to be deeply offended and angry when you said something in the realm of a couple thousand dollars. I was not ready for that price point, god I hate our healthcare system in this country...
Oh Aki, I’m so sorry you went through such a horrible infection. You did the right thing by going to the hospital. UTI’s and kidney infections are no joke, I’m so thankful you fully recovered. We love you Aki! ❤
I was so scared when I heard the news but hearing your explanation and Joey's voice just broke me. I, admittedly, don't hydrate myself as much as i should but this is definitely an eye opener. We gotta take care of ourselves better. So happy you're recovering, Aki. You and Joey deserve some rest.
So glad you’re better! Joey and your mum are amazing. I totally get it’s way too easy for busy/working gals to just drink too much coffee at the desk, not enough water and super delay those toilet breaks. Thank you for sharing your story, it’s very likely you’d be saving quite a few people from the same fate. You look amazing, couldn’t have guessed what you went through so recently. Love from Aus❤
Echoing everyone else here: glad you're home and feeling better (and your hair is hella cute! It gets triple cute points as I don't know how you can be arsed doing it after being sick!). It's such a scary situation. So glad you got a diagnosis quickly too, and you didn't have any confusion/delirium, as that's a big issue with undiagnosed UTIs/kidney infections. And so happy you're now a more hydrated person and peeing more often!
As a Brit, 850 sounds a lot! I don’t know why Americans don’t want social medical for the overall good of their country. I had sepsis after giving birth, it’s definitely no joke. Someone told me its the best way for a terminally ill person to die, as its that quick. Glad you made a good recovery. Im off to fill my water bottle…!
I really feel like I should have had my abdominal pain looked at while in Japan since American doctors cannot figure out why I've been in such an amount of pain for 11 years. I'm glad you're feeling better and glad you had Joey and family there for you while in the Hospital.
I’m so glad you are recovering well, UTIs are more common than we think and are especially common in elderly women, it’s even scarier because the bacteria can spread to the brain presenting in slurred speech, incoherent sentences, and basically being unresponsive and very difficult to wake up- it’s like a stroke almost. I’ve had to repeatedly diagnose my family member with UTI and bacterial infections because outside of going straight to the hospital, labs and cultures take too long to diagnose and things get bad really quickly. I’ve had to fight with staff at skilled nursing facilities about it too, “she’s just sleeeepppy” my ass. As a fellow American, I am also annoyed by the cost of our healthcare and I am very glad you paid “extra” for that single room, it was absolutely worth it!
My mom got a uti sunday night and it ended up becoming septic. We caught it early and she's been on antibiotics. Sadly she didn't get to come home for Thanksgiving but we spent the holiday with her in her room. And I've been visiting her daily. Uti's are nothing to mess around with. Stay safe and healthy, everyone👍
I use to work lab in a hospital, infections are no joke, especially when they turn septic. I'm so glad you got that taken care of and are doing better, that's a scary thing to go through.
So glad you're doing better now Aki, that would have been so scary and painful! I'm that weirdo that always tells my friends to go pee if they say they'll wait and go to the bathroom later, cos it's so important not to hold it in! I'm so grateful for the NHS here in the UK cos we just pay a National Insurance contribution out of our monthly paychecks, meaning that when we go to the hospital we never have to pay for anything. Take care and please make sure you rest up as much as you can.
I'm extremely glad you're ok!!! In hearing the price of your bill, I am so shocked! I have had MS for 14 years, so I KNOW how expensive hospital bills are here.
ain't this a mood. got a bill for 180k for my ocrevus infusion (my insurance messed it up but thankfully it worked out and genentech (the manufacturer) picked up the rest of the cost) but jesus christ. it's insane. and this price is when i got told i need to go to a different place that's ~*cheaper*~ than a hospital so my insurance didn't have to pay the exorbant hospital fees. hilarious now because they don't even want to pay that anymore and are telling me to just get the infusion at home (which no way lmao i still live at home because the cost of living is so high in san francisco and my insurance literally eats up all my income)
This may be TMI but I have had a history with UTIs in the past few years and they SUCK every time. I'm kind of amazed that you didn't notice it but also incredibly thankful you are ok and everything turned out alright. I remember being warned about if I leave a UTI too long they can get to your kidneys and I'm always now hypervigilant about it, and seeing this video reaffirmed that for me. Again I'm glad everything turned out ok for you and that you're feeling much better. Happy Thanksgiving and hope you can be fully 100% soon!
I had a similar experience where I was sick for one week, thought it was a cold, was better for a week, and then the next week I had extreme fever and a massive dip in my BP. Went to an urgent clinic and the doctor basically looked at me like I was insane and didn't know how I had made it almost three weeks with a UTI that was on the verge of sepsis. I was told if I threw up any of my medication, I needed to rush to the ER. So I learned really fast that the 150 fee to go to the clinic for antibiotics is a lot better than the potential of landing in the ER in the US. 😅 Glad you are better because sepsis is scary.
Thanks for sharing this with us Aki! I’m so glad you got the treatment you needed so quickly. And I’m glad that it happened in Japan so it was more affordable for you. The world is brighter with you in it!
So glad you recovered! This is really serious and I’m glad you were taken seriously. Keep resting until you’re back 100%. Don’t push yourself too hard ❤️
It's good to see you hale and hearty again, Aki. I can only imagine how scary it must have been for you, for your family and for Joey as well. Speaking of family, as a SE Asian, heck yeah for family members in medicine! And my heart absolutely melted at Joey's concern and him being there for you the whole time
that is so scary, and how a simple lapse in self-care can snowball makes it worse. i'm glad you're okay, and we should take it as a lesson to stay hydrated
So sorry you went through this Aki, but glad you’re doing better now! Being really sick and being in hospital both suck. Definitely wishing you continued good health (and lots of hugs!) ❤️ And thanks for trying to educate people on Japanese hospitals and the whole process despite going through something so major and rubbish yourself too! We really don’t deserve you 💕
I'm glad that you're okay! It made me really happy hearing your mom came out to see you. You are right that not everyone's mom would and I'm glad that she could be there for you! 😊
Same thing happened to me a few years ago. Didn't drink enough water, held in my urine a lot, and I got a bad UTI that I didn't know I had and ended up in the hospital with a kidney infection. I was just lucky enough to catch it before it became sepsis. That hurt so much, I can't even imagine what you must have gone through with it going into your blood stream like that. All that said, I'm so happy you got through it and are home again. Thank you for reminding me to drink more water. I tried, for a while, but I slipped back into bad habits because I'm a sucker. Trying again because of you! Thank you and be well, Aki.
I'm so glad that you're feeling better Aki! Please don't scare us like that again okay? I went through the same thing a couple of years ago, so I know how painful it is. Stay safe and hydrated!❤
SO glad you’re feeling better Aki! Also as an American, hearing that price? Whew, goodness it always blows me away! Seriously gonna keep medical costs in mind…
Scary!! I had sudden unexplained Acute Kidney Failure in March and it started with a weird ache in my back that quickly turned into severe stabbing pains. Was in hospital for a week and it was terrifying. Lots of blood tests, water intake and urine output tracking etc., so I know a little about quite sudden kidney problems. My parents rushed from France to the UK to see me. The doctors never found out a definitive cause for what caused mine D: I am glad you are better now!! I can relate to giggling at the cost compared to America... my hospital stay cost a total of $0 (woohoo free healthcare!) I have been consciously aware of my kidneys ever since and can feel em all the time lol
I had those too…aw, Joey holding your hand…so sweet. I wish you a swift recovery, and please take it easy, especially regarding food-easily digestible foods until recovery!
Whoa! I am so glad that you are feeling much better Aki! A bit of a tip from me to you about the whole drinking water thing , hon. Try to always have a Water Bottle by your nightstand and take a couple sips of water whenever you wake up as well as have a sip of water before getting ready to go to bed. the rest of your liquids should be supplemented with your usual beverages throughout your day. Take care of yourself, love! 👋🏽
So glad you're ok, and thank you for sharing. The fact that you were on the verge of sepsis due to a UTI- despite it being still common enough today to happen- is insane. What you went through was scary and you are so tough to get through it, and hoping you will never have a UTI again.
I'm really glad to hear you managed to overcome this and are feeling well now. 🙂 If you happen to have UTIs frequently, there's a vaccine that can help with that. It's has an efficacy of only about 33%, but honestly, when I was having recurrent UTIs, it was so bad that 33% sounded really good to me. And the truth is things have been much quieter since I started taking the vaccine (it's an oral vaccine that you have to take for 90 days every year). The person that managed to sort me out was my wonderful uro-gynecologist, so I really recommend being followed by a gynecologist that also specialises in the female urinary tract. As for drinking water, definitely do that, but remember that the water contained in the food you eat also counts. I usually use the colour of my pee to control my hydration levels. The lighter it is, the better.
MV140, a polyvalent bacterial whole-cell-based sublingual vaccine has been developed for the prevention of UTIs and is currently in prelicensed phase 2-3 development.
So glad you're doing better!❤ That hospital bill blew my mind! My husband was just in the ER for a few hours for a kidney infection and our bill was higher.
I am so relieved you are ok! That is so scary and indeed, it is always better to check out unfamiliar pain than to ignore it. On the other end of the spectrum, I was making myself sick by drinking too MUCH water lol. I was light-headed and had migraines so frequently, cramping in my abdomen and all sorts of issues. I didn't realize urine isn't supposed to be clear haha. It was bad. I found out I was dying and was quite literally drowning myself. Anyways, I am so glad you were able to get a private room and able to have a nicer stay. And to respond as an American, $800!? For five days!? That would be the daily cost here in the states! That's incredible! Look forward to your videos and stay well!
God, I will definitely hydrate more than I currently do. My mom has always been urging me to do so ever since I received my low iron test, but it slips my mind a lot. I'm very relieved that you managed to recover fast enough and it's great that Joey was there for you. Hoping that everything can go back to normal for you.
Glad you're doing okay. I've gone through similar things with UTI's and kidney infections so when you described your symptoms and the "jelly like feeling" I knew exactly what you meant! Also so so glad you weren't out of pocket by a huge amount for all of this. I live in Australia and 3 years ago I had my right kidney removed and had a hospital stay for about the same amount of time as you, in a private room, and it cost me $0 and I was so grateful
So glad you’re home & doing better! My mom’s a nurse, our close friends next door to her are 3 generations of nurses from the Philippines. Anything goes wrong with me, I’m all set for quality advice 😂
Joey's voice made me cry 😭 You can hear how scared he was...

In America, a guy refused to get in the ambulance despite needing it because it's so expensive
Yeah, it's no joke, and even with insurance, it's a pricey thing. An ER visit cost me, after insurance, $800. It sucks.
We’re glad your okay. I showed your video to my daughter. She has been warned. We send our love and blessings to you both. Hope you get better.
DON'T HOLD IN YOUR PEE, Y'ALL!
the love and concern that Joey has in his eyes and voice is so sweet ♥, happy you're ok
You got money from it?😮
@@amara560 yes, I was 15 and got a very generous sum from my child insurance since it was a very serious illness
Cheers!
My RN mom told me the same thing about "sexy times" and luckily I've not had a UTI since then.
Came from Joey's channel to wish you well wishes and glad you're better! May you both be surrounded with love and warmth.
I’m so sorry Aki! I’m glad you’re safe now! ♥️
Yeah staying in the hospital too long does suck as you lose your strength afterwards. Even doing small things becomes difficult
I'd never wish kidney problems or even dialysis on my worst enemy.
@@Chachixo OMG thank you so much for this info!!! Very helpful because I know I will stress about the bills later 😩
Glad your better Aki!!!!!❤
I'm so very glad you're recovering well
Holy sh!t that price is inhumane! I hope you're doing better now ❤️
I was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disease (basically a chronic open leg syndrome) on Halloween after my boss saw my legs and send me home really scared because they all suspected a sepsis.
('Murica!)
To all you people out there!
STAY HYDRATED
STAY CLEAN
STAY RELIEVED
piggybacking off of this: don't forget to pee after sex, it will help flush potential bacteria out.
@@Saphara I heavily approve this message!
@@Saphara Question, after sex women feel tired especially in the legs. Is it okay to pee after 2-3 hours after sex?
So glad you're doing better Aki! Also love the hairstyle.
IM GLAD YOURE FEELING BETTER
By the way I can tell Joey really cares about you.
Going septic is no joke, so so so glad you got care in time. Feel better soon.
i hope u feel better queen
Also i paid around 30k for my incident!!! thankfully i have insurance!!
The Stent was the WORST part of the kidney stone ordeal for me, that thing felt like barbed wire inside me for a week, at the kidney docs office people were saying they have stents in for months and years, consistently, that would be unbearable.
Sneaky! You usually get frequent urination and a little blood before it goes to the kidneys. 😮
@@stephanieok5365 i had none of that, i get kidney stones a lot and literally had no symptoms!! it happens.
@@masaharumorimoto4761 BRO STENTS SUCKED, i literally cried at one point bc i hated the feeling. it was a autism sensory nightmare. i had mine in for 2 ALMOST 3 weeks and the stone was so large. they let me keep it and its gnarly looking
$800 is so crazy to me. Im from the US and I was hospitalized in 2020 for Covid for 4 days and my bill was $34,000.
Lol trust me, the Americans want it so bad. Our government just sucks 🥲.
I really feel like I should have had my abdominal pain looked at while in Japan since American doctors cannot figure out why I've been in such an amount of pain for 11 years. I'm glad you're feeling better and glad you had Joey and family there for you while in the Hospital.
Cranberry juice to avoid UTIs...so glad you're okay! Joey's voice at the hospital was so sad!! 😢😢😢 Keep drinking that water!
Happy Thanksgiving. Aki. Praying for your recovery.
I’m so glad you’re feeling better. Please take as much time as you need to recover. We’re all rooting for you!! ❤❤❤
I use to work lab in a hospital, infections are no joke, especially when they turn septic. I'm so glad you got that taken care of and are doing better, that's a scary thing to go through.
So glad you're feeling so much better! That must have been terrifying! 😢
I'm really happy to see that you're feeling better now, Aki. I never had a kidney infection but I know it's very terrifying to have
We're all really really glad you're well Aki. Take all the time you need to rest and come back three times as strong. We all love you.
I’m glad you are feeling better! I hope you also had a good thanksgiving!
Glad your better!! Great to see you up and around, hope everything completely clears up ( your kidney feeling and such)
We love you and are sending you so much healing!!!! Take your time, sis, we’ll be here when you get back !! ❤
I'm so happy you're feeling better Aki!! 😁
Definitely wishing you continued good health (and lots of hugs!) ❤️
And thanks for trying to educate people on Japanese hospitals and the whole process despite going through something so major and rubbish yourself too! We really don’t deserve you 💕
Joey looked so worried! But you guys did great. So happy you're better now
As someone who deals with UTIs a lot, I feel for you. I’m glad you are better.
I’m so glad to hear you are feeling better now Aki! Happy late Thanksgiving!
So happy to see you back Aki! ❤
I'm glad you made it out alive, I had the same infection months ago and it was one of the worst experiences, Happy thanksgiving!
Thanks for coming out with us. Sharing is caring. I’m glad you’re feeling better.
I am glad you are out of the hospital! So sorry you went through this. Wishing you a full recovery and continued health improvements! 💖
OMG!! So glad you are ok now. Sending hugs Aki❤
Glad you’re okay! Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🧡
Also: your hair is super cute! And it sounds like you caught it just in time.
Im glad you caught it just in time! I was JUST hospitalized for a UTI as well. So this is crazy!! Stay wonderful Aki!
Glad you recovered from the situation. Hope you guys are having a great day!
So glad you're okay, Aki, and that you made it out in time for Thanksgiving! 💕 Hope you're feeling better and that you had a great Thanksgiving. 🥰
Happy to see you're doing better, Aki. :)
Started watching, then paused and got a glass of water. I'm glad you're healthing and at home.
If you happen to have UTIs frequently, there's a vaccine that can help with that.
I’ve missed your content so MUCH, I’m so glad you’re safe now..😕😕
So glad you're doing better!❤
That hospital bill blew my mind! My husband was just in the ER for a few hours for a kidney infection and our bill was higher.
Glad you are doing better ❤ Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
I'm glad you are okay and are recovering! Thank you for the updates. I hope you continue to feel better and am sending you positive vibes ✨️ 💖
I am so happy you feeling better!
So glad your ok now though Aki!
I’m so happy you are recovering and yes as a health care professional myself PLEASE STAY HYDRATED. Especially the ladies!
