I love the large lantern. For outside, I can see adding something to each corner on the bottom so that it can be staked into the soil, e.g., a garden, so it won't blow over.
You really are brilliant. I would never think to use things the way you do. I mean, I kinda do now. But, the tiered planter? So incredibly simple. Brilliant.

Megan you are right on time here!! I’ve had the wood stakes for three months now and now I will use them for the lantern!!! I made the pillows for my outdoor patio set last week! I glued two mats together to make one large pillow for each sofa. I wish I had seen your idea first, because I cannot find anymore like the ones I bought after going to three Dollar Trees! Also I have everything thing I need to make the storage tables! Bonus!!!!! Have a happy 4th!!!

Another alternative for fabric.....you can get that stitch witchery tape and use a flat iron to bond the fabric together.
I also read that all dollar general stores are going to be going out of business either this year or next year.
