    Just ordered a set... thanks for the helpful tips, especially concerning the weather stripping. Beautiful rig but the way 😊.

    I laughed when you said PA has strict wheel poke laws. Here in Maine we have a pretty good chance of getting pulled over and ticketed for 12 wides by state troopers. We have lift laws too that are hella strict

    Very good video thank you for showing how the rubber trim goes on. It's not very clear on the directions. I just picked up a 17 Ram Bighorn and this is my next mod and I'm also from Pa, so I understand the strictness of the laws your talking about.

    That weather stripping sucks. Did that to my 2013 Ram...worse night of my life lol. So glad the 2012 Mega came with flares from the factory.

    You 110% sure those are Max coverage? They look like normal ones compared to what they show on the website. Nice truck BTW!

    anyone have experience with the color matching with a black ram? considering it, cant find any pics.

      Yeah I've got the Bushwhacker pocket style fender flares paint matched on my black 5th gen. Paint matching looks great. I opted for the black hardware as well. Actually looking to sell them as I'm switching to the paint matched OE style because I prefer a wider stance and more wheel poke. I can cut you a deal and have them shipped out to you, DM me if interested, I can send you some pics as well.

    This does look good, I have been after wider flares for a long time, I’m not really sure when they brought out these wider ones but it’s nice to see. I’m curious though, are your rims -77 offset ?

    Great video! Did you have to relocate the factory Cummins/Turbo diesel badges to make these fit?

    • @DieselLegiance
      @DieselLegiance  Před 2 lety

      Not sure lol, I removed the larger 2500 lower badge prior to getting these installed but the big “C” was fine.

    Matched paint was the right move for sure, do you daily drive your truck/ have any issues with the law with your modifications?

    • @DieselLegiance
      @DieselLegiance  Před 4 lety

      Yes, I daily drive my truck. I try to take back roads when I can but overall, I have not been bothered too much from the cops. I don’t drive wild to draw attention either so I’m sure that helps.

    So how big of a tire can you fit now on a 10" lift and bushwacker flares?

    • @DieselLegiance
      @DieselLegiance  Před 3 lety

      I have 11” of total lift and I clear 40x15.5 tires with very good turning radius with very minor trimming.

    Hi, I know this was a year ago, but I'm trying to do same thing. How similar did the "max" ones fit where touching fender compared to standard that you removed?
    I had my fenders bed-linered under the standard bushwacker flares to within 1/8" of the edge (so just a tiny bit of bedliner visible but paint is protected against vibrations, trapped dirt etc.) Planning to upgrade to max, dont want to see an inch of bedliner showing, or have to go back and add half inch more bedliner or whatever. Any help you can give is much appreciated, thanks!

    • @DieselLegiance
      @DieselLegiance  Před 3 lety

      I have 15.5” wide tires and the flares helps reduce the look of my tires sticking out too far. I like the look and tent to think it helps keep the cops away lol

      @benherstad Před 3 lety +1

      @@DieselLegiance Cool. And did you happen to notice if they contact the truck fenders in the same place as the old set? The rubber trim piece that you install on edge of flare, does it touch the paint in same place, or follow a different curve? That’s what I’m trying to figure. Thanks.

    • @DieselLegiance
      @DieselLegiance  Před 3 lety

      The rubber gasket does a pretty good job. I can only say that based on these Bushwacker max coverage flares but overall I’m happy with them. I do take them off every few month to clean underneath though.

      @@DieselLegiance Thank you. I have ordered and already painted 2" in front and 2 1/2 " in rear. I have 35x12 1/2" Nittos's. I'm hoping I get better coverage from rocks mud than the OEM flares. They are the pocket style Bushwackers. I'm afraid I jumped the gun.
