    Very well covered, great work. Lot of mucking about at Central, but then again, when you are on the Indian Pacific...what is the hurry? XPT, Explorer and suburban sets made an interesting backdrop too.

    Gonna do this trip again 1 day. But time for the Locomotive/s to get a new paint job.

    If I'm honest, I'd rather sit in the Locomotive's cabin with the Engineers and breathe in the diesel fumes for four days than spend thousands of dollars being waited on in the passenger section. I love locomotives more than passenger cars.

    An iconic train led by a rust bucket (embarrassment) of a locomotive! Seriously WTF? Is this what we advertise to the rest of the nation & the world? Yep, 3rd world railways!!

      They are 4000HP locomotives, usually 1 NR used to hauled it between Perth and Adelaide as JBRE is part associated with Pacific National which supplies the locomotive for the journey. back then when AN had there CLs they were good but, now PN don’t have any and which they where spread to a variety of companies like SSR, ORA, RP, …
