Game Over Themes. The catchy songs that you never want to hear. Depending on the difficulty of the game, a Game Over Theme can easily be etched into your mind after a few hours. In that case, you'd obviously want it to sound good and catchy so the player can look back on it one day with fond memories of the game they managed to push themselves through. Game Over Themes can have many different feelings depending on the game. Some can be a simple sound effect, some can be filled with despair, and others can be sad with a mix of motivation to press onward and reach your goal. Either way, they've existed for a long time, and I wouldn't trade them for the world. Here's me trying to make on in 10 minutes. Do I succeed? Or do I too reach my Game Over? This is the type of song where you've died for the 50 billionth time and out of frustration, you just leave the screen hanging, letting the song play out. Then, once you hear the beat drop, you think twice about the song you'd grown to hate so much. you Immediately want to pick the controller back up with renewed confidence, realizing that in the end, no matter how many lives you've lost, it was kinda fun.

This aint a game over theme, this is a theme for when a game ends, and the ending is depressing and, lets say the mc's friend dies after giving a speech to never give up or something. Name fits in perfectly. Like your friend would be saying push on as you finally deal the last hit to the boss and save the universe.

I can imagine this as the credits of a game, where you have defeated the final boss and it shows you the landscape and everyone is happy, and then it tells you a 99% completion score because you missed i side quest.

I can hear this as a RPG bad ending end credit song of some sorts. Love it tho
It's a game over in a sense that the game is over. You've finished the game, you found the princess, you vanquished the final boss, you saved the world. The credits rolls, you get a flashback to every adventure that you did throughout the game and now everyone is happy, but the adventure never ends for every ending comes a new beginning

The leitmotif from the final boss theme was incredible.
The first half sounds like the thing you hear after a game over, while the second half sounds like something that would play over the final credits after having gotten accustomed to the original the entire game.
It feels like the Zelda 1 game over, in that that song is the first part of the ending theme of Zelda 1.

It sounds like if you got a game over, you’d be transported into purgatory and would have to fight your way out of it. A secret level of sorts. The first half is the actual game over screen, second part the level.
This is the song you hear as the necromancer brings you back to life: slowly cracks in your flesh fill with crystallizations of magic, but hey, now you can use fire spells.

1st part of song character dies and passes into afterlife. 2nd part character soul travels through the successfully travels through the underworld to return to their body. 3rd part with choir the soul returns to the body and character sets back off on their adventure.
I'm pretty sure a game over shouldn't sound so good that it makes you *WANT* to die till you hear it again.
