I always wondered how Zara got her unique and non-traditional name. In Greek it means “radiant dawn” and Charles suggested it. A nod to her grandpa Philip and to her energy. Charles would have been equally delighted with a daughter of his own.
I think Zara is down to earth 🌍 just like Princess Royal Ann he mother such a lovely lady
Charles has always adored Zara from the moment she was born. He was the one who gave her the distinctly un-royal name of Zara, which means "bright as the dawn". There's an old video on CZcams when the entire family were getting ready to take Zara's christening photos. The Queen was holding Zara and Charles was looking at her adoringly and sneaked a kiss on her forehead. It's been reported that Charles always longed for a daughter of his own and hoped his second child with Diana would be a girl. Alas, it was an asshole. When Princess Charlotte was born, Charles was so giddy with happiness that when a reporter asked him how he felt, Charles said he was delighted and then uncharacteristically blurted out, "I intend to spoil her rotten!"

such a special bond. My son and my granddaughter are inseparable. They even share their birthday. He was turning 16 and was adamant she would not be born on his birthday. We all reassured him that she wasn't due for another month, but she did come on his birthday and They have been the best of friends since. It's so beautiful to watch them together. watching things like this reminds me of them.....sorry, I went on a bit there lol

Imho, Zara just treats him as her beloved “Uncle Charles”. He of course can count on her discretion, anything that passes between them stays that way.
He IS her uncle.
Zara is also William's closest, most trusted cousin and she's very protective of him as well. When Harry left the UK, it was reported that William's first move was to reach out to Zara and ask her to be his "wingman" in his Royal duties when the time comes.
William is also close to Peter and Mike Tindall.

I can remember a young friend always saying when she was riding that Zara always was very friendly even though a few years older.My husband worked for many years in H.M.S Raleigh down in Cornwall and he also said that he liked the Princess Royal the most and that the navy personnel said the same.xx

I think King Charles always wanted a daughter, so when Zara was born it was so special, sadly he never had a daughter, but what a wonderful daughter in law he has in The princess of Wales! Personality wise very similar to Zara! Very exciting times for the RF❤
