could you give some card combinations and bs tips? my best killstreak on him is 30 so i guess im not that bad but this dude reached 80. i wanna gun for atleast 51 to beat my minos killstreak score. i also noticed that this dude spammed wheels, while i try and always get furioso and fill as many cards as possible to my speed dice before acting, maybe thats my mistake
good question durandal for +20% damage per stack mook in order to generate 3 lights, draw a card, and capitalize on the damage buff at the same time, mook boasts a decent amount of damage on top of having an effect where the damage is increased by 3 it deals decent damage, very mobile, it's fast, and it's light neutral (light positive in emotion level 4) even further than that; if you manage to draw out durandal and mook again, you can loop it for the next turn but with the benefit of having 4 stacks of damage boost (or in emotion level 4, durandal + wheels deals ~60 damage in around 4 seconds) due to the nerfs with black silence though, you might be forced to play fo protection rolls a lot more than the usual (as getting kills rewards less stagger meter now) also with that said; add ranga if you want more damage as well (note that it also has a bleed effect so don't take its damage for granted) and zelkova has damage on the lower end but i suggest it if you need to draw more cards allas if you need protection to a turn but don't have/can't afford old boy or wheels, atelier has the most damage of the cards but is also the weakest in terms of hitbox (and mobility) so only use it realistically if you want to use furioso, crystal has big damage (almost like wheels; use for damage if wheels isn't available) and the counter dice may sometimes come in handy the way i play black silence is mostly on fast turns and damage stacking when convenient for kills, protection rolls should in my opinion be prioritized in 9 out of 10 times (especially when low; and now most especially since the nerfs) speed is of the essence, while it may be worthwhile to string pages from time to time, stagger generation and protection will be a lot more important (honestly, the nerfs was so severe that it makes black silence a lot easier to kill; it was that bad of a nerf)
also "why not durandal + old boys to be light positive even before emotion level 4" and the simplest answer is because mook is a lot better for damage, durandal into old boys isn't bad if your next turn you can capitalize on the damage buff rather than with mook on the same turn to capitalize it on that turn (and then idk, old boys next turn to generate lights)
i also did notice that you sometimes used old boys even if you had positive light, is it because of the protection? but yeah they really nerfed his stagger quite the lot
@@yakeru3356 yep, both protection dice and stagger resist generation even if already full on lights it's sometimes better to just use old boys (especially on crowds) to generate more stagger resist if black silence didn't get nerfed, then yes, damage stacking and chaining pages might be the better call due to 2 kills generating HALF your stagger meter before... now 2 kills gets you 20 stagger resist

what do protection rolls do in this game
Just reduce damage equal to the roll whilst the cards are being played (1 = 10% reduced damage. For example, rolling 6 means 60% reduced damage)
Just Cosmic a BS if it gets annoying, also if you got a hellfire, use it where he did his attack and when BS got back to that spot, profit.
also the EA , pretty op for killing all the boss , only minos is hard to kill with EA , one shot all boss also
