A 3-time professional player and Dreamhack champion, Goddess has been involved in the Siege scene for half a decade now, earning her stripes on Xbox before making the leap to PC. While Goddess may have retired, she remains active within the community as a streamer and employee of the Susquehanna Soniqs. I agree her point when she makes a difference between people being misogynistic online vs. in person. It’s not an excuse, exactly as she says, but there’s a difference between the person trying to seek attention and bully people online by pretending to be something horrible, like a misogynist, and then there’s actually being a misogynist. Again, they’re both inexcusable, but I think that’s the distinction she makes in how she reacts to trolls online.

I've been trying to figure out why C9 dropped them, and I watched the C9 parts but I still don't know why, does anybody know anything?
the team basically just wasn't performing as well as hoped, C9 was investing alot of money into the team, they had a team house on top of the normal salaries and all. The org was only really making money thru pilot program skins, so they just picked up an apac team that they could pay less but keep pilot program revenue

i think the whole 'debate' about women in gaming in general and pro league in particular can be summed up pretty neatly this way: the people who laugh about the concept of safe spaces consider gaming *their* safe space, and anything 'foreign' that encroaches onto that safe space must be met with hostility. how much of that is subconscious bias and how much open misogyny varies from person to person, but i don't think the latter is ever absent in those people.

Unfortunately, as with all game communities, we have a vocal minority of horrible people. I think it’s about time we as a community tried to be more vocal in support of people like Goddess, Jess, Geo etc who have to deal with these things. We’ll never silence those vile people, but maybe we can drown them out (and of course, we all need to start holding people accountable)

Two things:
1. Fabian used this term and it wasn't explained on that stream, and now Goddess used it and it wasn't explained again: what is a "dry run"?
2. What's the issue with people using skins that got Canadian all riled up?
1. Practising rounds without enemies so u get to know the rotations and the theory of a strat before actually using it
2. Skins give some really unfair advantages on some maps due to their colouring and patterns. i.e : you can literally blend into the background and cannot be seen at first glance.
also some Uniforms are so similar you cant diffirentiate between operators you killed wich is also valuable information.
@@lilifee666 Adding onto this point for the OP, some examples of the skins that are frustrating are the Outbreak Set (bright yellow biohazard suits), the Twitch and Valkyrie elites (make their gadgets harder to spot), and the Ember Rise seasonal skins (hard to see on multiple maps) just for a few examples
The pace was a bit slow. Great talking points, but again there wasn't a lot of momentum I guess is how I would put it. I guess everyone kinda seemed tired. I apologize if this comes off as mean I mean it more critical than toxic.

The toxicity in gaming whether it be sexism, rascism, or just general assholery is a difficult subject. Do I think it’s right? No. But do I think people should get banned from playing games if something is taken the wrong way. Again, no. I have come to the realization that you just do have to mute people because they are only looking to get a rise out of you.

It seems you missed the point of the episode. Unfortunately for Lauren, her gender is a big focal point for many people within the R6 scene. Hats off to you for not caring about it but the same can't be said for everyone.
