The New Orleans Saints Thanksgiving game against the Buffalo Bills will feature the return of Drew Brees to the Caesars Superdome for the first time since announcing his retirement at the conclusion of the 2020 NFL season.
Brees will be broadcasting the game alongside Mike Tirico for NBC, and at halftime, the team, fans and the city will have the opportunity to thank Drew and his family for everything they have given to our community- on and off the field- in their 15 years with the team.
"Drew Brees will always be considered one of the greatest Saints in the history of the organization" said Saints owner Gayle Benson. "While we look forward to one day welcoming Drew back as a Hall of Famer and a member of our Ring of Honor, Thanksgiving night is the perfect opportunity for us to say thank you to Drew and his family the right way- on the field and in front of 70,000 of the best fans in football. We were blessed to have Drew as a member of our team for 15 years. The record-breaking impact he had on the field is legendary, as is the impact he, Brittany and the Brees family continue to have on our community."

Damn his last year had to be the year without fans. If he hadn’t broke 11 ribs and had a collapsed lung I think he would of played 1 more year just so he could of played in front the fans in his final season because the Superdome crowd is unlike any other. But when you’re his age you come back to play and not spend 4-5 weeks rehabbing an injury. Broken ribs is about as painful as it gets to walk around with so he knew his body was unfortunately giving out. Very lucky he stayed healthy for almost of all of the 15 years. He missed 10 games due to injury in his time with the Saints and 9 of those came in the last 2 years. So only 1 in the first 13. It was awesome watching him. Thank You Drew ⚜️

It's hard being a fan of the NFL i became a fan back in 2009 when i was only 6 because of Drew Brees I loved watching that man even though i was soo small and over the years i've appreciated and loved him even more he is who made me a diehard football fan and for this year i have started to sway away but next year hopefully it all settles in and i could be a diehard fan again but for Mr brees thanks for everything

I got the pleasure of watching Drew Brees for 24 years on the field when he started playing as backup at Purdue. Still remember his first series like it was yesterday. This year has been a rough adjustment not seeing him in a uniform and playing behind center. Glad I was able to make it down to be there in person for this. Gave me a chance for some closure. He is going to have a great career in the broadcast booth for many years to come.
I'm so sad, I too watched him every year at Purdue and gave me a reason to be excited on Sundays...football will never be the same for me ☹️
