Dave yelling 'It was $4 ' was hilarious 😂
😂😂
😂😂 love it!
❤
$4! 😂
I want him to yell $4 in December when they're not all gone too 😂
You guys are hilarious! As a Wisconsinite, I approve of your cheese quantity! There's no such thing as too much cheese! 😂
I think we're going to need a follow-up on how long it takes for that jar of jalapenos to get used. Hopefully it doesn't become like the frozen bananas. 😝
I agree that the price you paid for those Rao's marinara jars is a fantastic deal. The only reason I don't get Rao's is because the sauces are normally pretty expensive.
This woman is one of the few reasons i use CZcams still and enjoy. 😁
I would love a video on kids meal plans. With them heading back to school I love to see how other people feed their kids without going crazy or broke!
When my teenaged boys were in-between sizes I thought we always did well in the young men's section at Kohl's. One of my boys was a 28" waist forever and I could always find his size there!
I got my self educated on the “ingredient list “ and it’s just scary the amount of sugar and processed seed oil that’s in most food”
The food company is in bed with the medical world
I agree. Been doing some research on healthy eating and trying to eat more whole food plant based SOS free (salt, oil, sugar.) The SOS free part is the most challenging because it is added to so many things unnecessarily. Animal products are also not great for your long-term overall health. Studies show it can lead to heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc.
@@kimberlyburk5446 I’m not expert.. a lot of debate on red meat… but based on what I hear there is no study that shows direct causation of red meat and heart disease, co relation but not causation. .. people have to make their own conclusions. Look up Dr. Ken Berry videos. But I would definitely avoid sugar and processed seed oils.😀
So the salad kits, Krusteaz, bread, instant breakfast drink, crackers and brownies probably have the same bad oils that you’re trying to avoid in the protein bars.
Yes one really needs to read the packaging on all our food!!!”definitely stay away from seed/soy oils + the majority of granola or protein bars are just cookies not healthy! I choose to avoid!
Do what you can where you can and mind your life, not others.
Seed oils alone are not the problem. It’s fine In things you expect oil. But a protein drink doesn’t need it and it just ups the fat and calories for not reason
@@Sterling8953 I've heard some of the oils like that are inflammatory oils and cause body inflammation. The only reason they use it in foods is because it is cheap and is a filler.
@@singerjo5791she is stating nutritional facts about the choices shown not judging….know the difference.
The rush of adrenaline I get walking past the crowded lines straight to the exit at Sam’s club gets me every time.
I empathize with the kid gone to college situation. They're all grown and it is still hard to believe how fast the time goes on. We just made the coleslaw from Sam's Club in a stir-fry, with onion, garlic, Teton Beef Sausage sliced up, and bell peppers/mushrooms, and added the sauces separately due to taste preferences in my family. DeliciousOh. Enjoy!
We buy the local honey so we get the honey, but you also get an allergy boost from the local pollen in the honey. 😉😉😉
Honey doesn’t actually help with allergies, according to science but buying local anything is great.
Mom of all boys- the best place I could find at a decent price for hard to fit boys pants was Old Navy. I’m sure online is even better now.
I'm with you on the coconut water! We got a ton for FREE at the Margarita Festival in Tampa, I was so excited. Then boom... it was SO bad! (all flavors). We gave it away to coworkers with no taste buds, JK but they went nuts. At least someone enjoyed it.
American Eagle for jeans! If you shop online, there are multiple waist/inseam options for a great fit and they wear really well. They also run sales!
My sons were all tall and thin. My youngest, now an adult, is 6'4" and weighs about 150 lbs. He can only find jeans at American Eagle. Buys on sale and makes them last!
It's Kit and Caboodle - the caboodle is the container it comes in, the kit is what's inside. Like a tackle box can be a snackle box or a sewing or makeup kit, the "box" itself is the caboodle.
The sewing kit in the cookie tin is a sewing kit, if it's in a made-for-purpose hinged container with built-in pin cushion; it's whole kit and caboodle
JC Penney has good jean options in their Arizona brand. My son is still a 28/29 waist in his early 20s, and I've always found a ton of different styles there
Clothes measurements for each boy. Bring the tape measure and measurements with you when you go to store and then measure the garment that catches your eye in the color the boy likes in a style he wears. Check label for how to wash. If garment is a winner buy two😊
Happy shopping 😊
Gas here in North Texas was $3.49...and thanks to my Kroger points and Kroger credit card, got it $1.15 off each gallon!!! Whoo hoo...saved $16!!!
I feel the teenage boy clothes pain! I've got that, plus an 11 year old girl who's grown out of the girl's section but isn't proportioned right for the teens/womens section. Recs: Teen mall stores. Hollister, Aeropostale etc... but look for those brands at thrift or consignment. I've also been told Tully's is great for the small teen boy phase, if you have one anywhere nearish you.
We always get our boys clothes from the children’s place. They always have sales and go up to size 18!
I’m having an issue with my son’s clothes too. He is really skinny but just grew like 4 inches. Children’s place is the only place that fits because they have slim fit with the adjustable waist.
“Back in the day” my biggest frugal tip was to go to Kroger during the Super Bowl. Triple coupons and NO ONE but me at the store 🤣🤣 I’d fill up three baskets. I meal prepped before it was cool. Like I was country before . . . Now we are empty nested. But I still love watching you 💜 we’d be friends if you live here.
The best deal was the Primal Kitchen Mayonnaise. The price in my Stop and Shop is $14 and some change. Great clearance price!
My sixteen y/o son has a 26" waist 30" long. The only place that has pants for him is Hollister. I got 3 pairs of jeans for $56 thanks to back to school specials and a discount for August being my birthday month. Woohoo!
Dave, you know you’re getting old when your favorite cereal is Raisin Bran. Lol
It is seriously one of the healthiest cereal options, however! He is a smart guy.
My son is a 26/34. We have done American Eagle in the past but they are skinny jeans and he has issues getting his massive foot through the leg. We have found that wrangler works pretty well for him.
Wrangler on Amazon? Or did you find a 26 elsewhere? I could only find the 26/32s, how come? The 26 might fit without a belt!
LOL, just this morning we had to do a switcheroo with my 11 yo because the size 14 shorts that I JUST had him try were too small/short. Our school does uniforms so thankfully I had 16s that were still too big around the waist so it's a belt that comes in clutch. It also has an adjustable waist to help cinch, but man I feel you with the clothes! And shoes I go to the Nike outlet store nearby. Depending on the style and discount, $25-40 for shoes that will wear well for at least 6 months usually a bit longer. I had terrible shoes growing up, feel it now, and try to do a bit more for my sports loving kids.
I agree coconut water in the carton is nasty, however real coconut water from the coconut is amazing.
I really like American Eagle for tall skinny boys. Both of my boys wear a 28/34 jean and they carry them! They also do XS for shirts. I usually wait for a good sale or try and find them at TJ Maxx. Also the Arizona brand at JC Penny has good sizing for my boys.
Girl my husband would go through those jalapeños in a week! Sandwiches, eggs, Mexican dishes, popcorn, they go on everything 😆
My youngest and I love jalapeño’s on a lot of things,it wouldn’t be gone in a well but definitely way before Christmas 😊
Ooooh hadn’t thought of putting them on popcorn, def trying that! 😋
It’s sooo good! Especially if you pop them with the popcorn and they get nice and crispy!
Whenever I'm having a blah day, I turn one of your videos on and I feel better! Thank you for always brightening my day!! You guys are awesome!
I have tall skinny teenage boys. Best place for pants is American eagle. My 6’2” guy wears 30x36. I have to purchase those online. My other son wears 28x32. They have waist sizes as small as 26. The best deal is to get the credit card because you’ll rack up points and get tons of free clothes.
I immediately checked our Kroger weekly flyer for the cheese, but alas, we didn't have it. I thought of you yesterday, ran into Kroger and everything in my basket was marked down. I thought FFM would be proud. 🙂
If your boys can wear a size 18 still (like a 28 mens waist, but shorter) then Children's Place online is helpful. They have great deals online, especially if you have their credit card. Otherwise we get a lot of my older boys' (who are over that size) at Kohl's mostly.
We support Dave, we love the jalapeños from Sam’s! They go with everything! Even those salad kits! Yummy!
You can never, ever go wrong with bulk Jalapeños.
They’ll never go bad either!! Too much acid for that to happen.
Hollister has great small waist, boy jeans in several fits and washes. I bought last week for $25!
We shop for kids clothes sometimes at jc penny's. It's cheaper than Walmart but with higher quality. They have walls of jeans all sizes. Happy shopping
For my son's school clothes (think private school, so khakis, polos, and button down shirts) we start at Marshall's or TJ Maxx. He's tall and skinny, but I you can still find those odd sizes at these stores. Kohl's is more expensive, but usually a good selection. I'm not sure what's available in your region though.
Old navy/gap and lands end (does customizable inseam) have tall sizes on line only. I have a lean kid (34”) inseam
When shopping for clothes for my son we shopped between old navy and Burlington, sometimes came to gym shoes / soccer shoes but had to be Nike brand I still went to Ross found them for under 50.00 dollars. My daughter was easier to get clothes for.. she like going to thrift store get shoes like copy cat uggs back then.
$4.08/gallon of gas here in Wyoming. Your husband is the cutest! You are a cute couple and I love uour sense of humor 😂
Love that Dave shops with you!
Holy cheeses, you are getting your RDA of vitamin F, for frommage ❤
Try that goat cheese with a drizzle of honey on your bagel, toast, waffle , whatevah, it’s SO good !
You and Dave are the cutest couple !
Try Kohls for good back to school sales 👍
I just love Christine's personality. I don't even go to the grocery store anymore (Azure 6x a year, barter with neighbors) but love these videos because watching them is like drinking a cup of coffee.
My favorite place to get clothes for teenage boys is Aeropostale! My oldest is almost 6 foot and super skinny so their pants have been a life saver. He wears a 27 x 32 jean and it's the only place I have been able to find ones he likes consistantly. They have great sales this time of year too!
Holy cow - that Rao's was a score! My favorite pasta sauce and it's usually 9-10 dollars where I live for the big one. We have younger kids but tall/skinny boys - Abercrombie fits them really well!
Missed the opportunity to add a clip of Kim singing Brownie Friday. Love her!
Enjoy all your lives and replays !!❤️🥰
I’ve heard about the expensiveness of clothing teenage boys from my son & daughter in law. My grandsons are twins & growing so much. I swear every time we see them they’re taller. So every time they need anything it’s times two, for clothing, shoes, sports related things etc. They also took drivers Ed recently & my daughter in law, said it was over $1,000 for each of them & they now have their permits. She said she hardly gets groceries put away before she has to buy more! I’m not sure where they get their cloths, but they’re tall & skinny too. Good Luck!!
Y'all are the best 😂❤
Love watching your videos.. sooo entertaining. Thank you 😊
The cheese at krogers was amazing deal I picked up 4 to
Yeyyy i need this video 😂 thank youuuu
AE clearance rack for the win for teenage boys clothing. The slim fit work for in-between sizes. Amd my husband did something similar with a giant jar of spicy pickles at Costco!😂😂
My husband is still a 30 inch waist. He loved a pair of Union Bay cargo pants so I ordered every color and just get extra when he rips them up doing DIY.
You two make a great comedy duo!
You are my favorite person to watch!!
I love your grocery shopping + hauls! You find the best prices! $$
Peaches are a super food!!! YUM!
$280 is a good price for all you got! Thanks for another great video! Good luck to the boys this school year!! ❤️❤️❤️
Pickled jalapeños are LIFE!
Tamed jalapeno slices. All of the flavor without the heat! Yum!
Agree 1000% with the Sam’s Scan & Go app!
Amazon saved me at that awkward size stage. My son’s favorite brand of jeans were “Ethanol”. Did the try to buy and selected various brands and styles to find what he liked. Lorie 😊
My son is tall and skinny. We do JcPenny and Kohls. Our gas in my part of texas is 2.89 to 3.29. If you pay with cash its always cheaper.
Yummie and love it.
Yes, I’m addicted to the blueberry muffin tops
Thank you for the full body shot of your hubby. Well worth the watch! LOL Ya'll are so so cute.
My son is 9 1/2 and we live in Southern California. So I buy him 5-7 school outfits, 1 shirt with matching shorts. His weekend outfits are 2-3 shirt short combos but maybe little small or last year clothes that have stains or whatnot. Also have 10 pairs underwear and socks and at least 2 sweatshirts. He plays soccer so we have 2 practice uniform sets and 2 game sets. I tend to find pretty good selection for his size 10-12 husky at Kohls ( Kohls cash is amazing!) or JC Penny online. They carry all the sports brands so when I see a deal I just buy it in next size. I put all his outfits folded together in one drawer. Makes it easy for him to get dressed and also this working mom.
BTW - our Kohls credit card limit is only what we can pay off each month.
When my boys were in that awkward size stage I shopped at target and found stuff that fit in the mens section, and they liked the clothes.
Christine and family have a great week have fun thanks from Oklahoma
Dave looks the single dad in “ you’ve got mail “.
You and Dave had me cracking up over the jalapeños. 😂😂My husband is the same way and puts them on all kinds of things, I always have to keep them stocked in the house.
I couldn’t agree with you more about Sam’s scan and go!
Old Navy has men's extra small (xs). You might not see them in store but you can order it online. I am in the same boat! I have a 12 year old that is 5'4" but super skinny.
American Eagle was the only place we could find 29 x 36 pants for my oldest. Had to order those khakis for school uniform every year. He is 6'4" and was super skinny. He is 27 now and put on some muscles, so at least he is 30 x 36 now.
I second this! American eagle is the best for tall skinny boys.
I read the ingredients of everything I look at in the grocery store. Just stay healthy and only shop the outside which is produce and meats and all organic because I don't want to eat herbicides and pesticides. My adult child brought home some potatoes that were not organic and I told them they were sprayed with fungicides right before they went to the grocery store so that they wouldn't deteriorate fast. It looked like they were about to throw up when I told them that. Organic all the way. I enjoy cooking and baking so it's very easy for me to make food and if we want sweets I know exactly what's in the items i bake.
Thanks for sharing the grocery haul.
The peach season where we live is about to end. I looked it up and most peach seasons around the country are from around June to September.
Can’t believe it’s back to school season.
I didn't ever have to watch what I bought for my big family of 7 but these days Im really on a budget. I love watching yr videos to get ideas on meal's, pantry ideas, organizing ideas. Thank you!
Cool that Dave shops with you
Rogue and Speedy for president!!! I too struggle with being in between sizes or trying to find tall sizes
I’m so excited for the granola bar recipe
Gas in Yucca Valley, Ca is about $4.74. As far as discount stores go, we have a Grocery Outlet and a 99 Cent Only store (usually has the best produce prices in town). Love your videos😊
Oh man please make a drive to Ross or tjmaxx, or even Marshalls! The prices are great especially for youngins who are gonna keep growing! (I stress about the name brand when the size will last maaaaaybe a year MAYBE!💜
Wow! The summer went to fast 💨
Christine, a delicious coleslaw recipe is the bag of coleslaw, a couple of chopped/ sliced green apples, some refrigerated poppy seed dressing and a tablespoon or so of honey.
Raisin Bran crunch is the best cereal. Pickled jalapeno is amazing in salads.
those brownies are awesome
Thank you so much for the breakfast idea for kids with braces. My 13 year old son, who is in great shape and loves to eat, is really struggling with his braces. This will be a big help, thank you!
I enjoy your videos. I haven't watched do very long. But the way you explain things and say things, it's just fun😊😊😊 funny.
Thank you! 😃
I drive almost an hour to the nearest salvage grocery store every 3-4 weeks and it's always a let down when pickings are slim. But I save so much money when it's good that it's worth it!
Dave...he's pretty great. And I love Ticonderoga pencils! I'm an old grandma and don't even need a lot of pencils but I buy them anyway! The smell when you sharpen them! It's nearly autumn, ya gotta buy a dozen of those.
The southwest chopped salad at Sam's Club is my favorite YUMMMM
Coconut water--you want to make sure there's no added sugar, just plain coconut water. We don't care for the Costco brand but highly recommend Zico and Real Coco. It's a great natural electrolyte booster instead of Gatorade!
I love the refrigerated Costco Coconut water! It’s not as travel friendly but tastes much better. It might be the best one for someone new to try. It has a pink tint.
@emsfitventure I’ll have the give the Costco one a try. I love the Harmless Harvest, has a pink hue and is so good but I only get it when it’s on sale because it’s so expensive 😭
@@viphanger Yes! The Costco brand tastes the same!
I like your cross body bag
We can candied jalapeños and my husband loves them! And yes, they go on everything he eats! 😂
So jalapeños popper chicken
4 breast in crock pot (cube or cut how you like)
Block cream cheese
1 1/2 cup of jalapeños and juice
Seasoning. (Garlic/salt/peper or ranch seasoning pack)
Four-6 hours on low. Depending on size. Last 30 mins add cup of cheese of your choice.
Serve over rice or salad or potatos of taste
The best place I found for tall skinny kids are at a Western store. Lots of long legged jeans there.
