We just moved into our new house and our movers (who were actually really good) ended up charging us double for our move. We moved from Pennsylvania to North Carolina and it was a journey! I literally feel your excitement through the screen. God is amazing! To be a first time home buyer with these crazy rates in 2024 is a blessing! I’m sure the houses are just as expensive in the UK. When we moved a couple of years ago and used Anyvan, they did the exact same thing they did to you claiming the items listed are less than the actual .

This is the job you wanna do so you have to keep your body fit. Can’t tell the person that they have stairs because you’re out of shape, I’m so sorry. AnyVan RUINED my move in September after I had waited six hours for them to arrive. We brought everything downstairs from the top floor. but as it started raining and they were so late, we decided to move some cardboard stuff back upstairs. Two horrible men turned up once it was pitch black and then refused to pick up my boxes because not everything was downstairs. They refused to do the move and disappeared. They were giving me hella attitude too, which I don't think they would have done if I wasn't a Black woman....I was on the phone to the SA AnyVan team for hours sobbing my eyes out and they didn't give AF! Had to pay for another deliver the next morning but at a discount. I really think that's their business model and they are clever hiding their 1 star reviews. So sorry you also had a stressful experience.

The Anyvan guys did exactly the same thing to us, they said you have a lot of things not included in the list when we clearly stated everything Managed to speak to the same girl you spoke to and the driver said he doesn’t transport fridges 😢😂 They are silly
How unprofessional of them. When they called and said 3mins away no apologies nothing then attitude afterwards when they were in the wrong🙄🙄. Glad you got it sorted in the end 🙏🏾
Gals do listen to Lydia and do not book AnyVan. They were moving mad and trying to charge me an outrageous amount +£620 I cancelled it, booked another mover and saved £260, which has no restrictions of boxes or weight of the boxes, sizes of furniture etc. they only charge by the total weight of the truck which is 5.5 tonnes more than enough for a 1 bed flat (with no kitchen appliances for me) and any extra stuff that I might want to add. Thank you Lydia ❤❤❤❤

Yes! You use wheely bin bags with a small punched through the top. You then tie the bottom and your clothes don’t get creased.
