Awsome restorations Watch the restoration of this old rusty AMPLIFIER SONY FH-E707CD music tool. I came across this antique music tool all the way back from a farm. It was very difficult to restore but I have managed to bring it back to life. Unfortunately the equalizer display screen was broken and I had no replacement equipment however I managed to get it to amplify the sound.

I love how he just randomly finds it in the muddy rice patty every time! Who are these people that dump something like that in a rice patty??? And he always finds one that has just enough exposure to look bad, but not enough to destroy circuit impedance values and resistance to the point that it needs real skill. But just enough that over a million of us are sitting here watching with fascination!! Who's the smart one in all this?? Lol

О Господи! Да он просто бог электроники! Стрелочным прибором он электролиты проверял! А ёмкость? А ESR? Там по идее без замеров большую часть электролитов сразу под замену надо. С такими окислами каждый контакт пропаивать надо. И не этим топором, а нормальным паяльником!

Naturalmente muchos de los aparatos que ha restaurado hasta ahora no funcionan completamente, en este caso parece funcionar un solo canal de audio. Lo que creo es que la idea de este tipo de videos es motivar a reparar, no botar, mejorar las cosas, no ser tan consumistas, ser más amigables con el medio ambiente y por sobre todas las cosas, explotar nuestras habilidades. Felicito a este tipo porque es un técnico en electrónica y para hacer lo que hace, hay que ser bueno. Gracias bro.

Talking of Sony ,a Sony CTC was brought in to the workshop ,it was the old CRT type ,it had been in a house fire the case was badly burnt ,so we plugged it in and it worked fine ,(what a star ).Sony , enough said.
Amazing how many electronics were left out in the field. It's almost like a cargo plane of stereo components fell apart in the air above your property... Or maybe some audiophile planted a bunch of Easter eggs so someone could find them later on.
@@dailyfilmfix469 Fake it is but the "crack" on that VFD (no, it's not an LCD but a vacuum fluorescent display) is actually a marker where the tube was vacuumed so probably it's just burned out or something wrong with the electronics.
@@dailyfilmfix469: He's actually using the multimeter correctly for what he is doing, and that is a vacuum fluorescent display not an LCD. In addition, his soldering technique is excellent. The spray is likely a contact cleaner. Those pieces could not be corroded in the ways seen here without extensive time in the outside world, and when it comes apart, he has to pop at least a couple glued pieces with one-shot adhesive. Residual scuffs and minor external corrosion are ok as long as the components function. I seriously doubt this is "fake", please don't devalue honest refurbishment.
PS: VFDs self-destruct easily, so it's probably the crack that killed it.
@@joinanomumous The white substance in the upper left of the VFD is the getter compound, which is flashed at the factory after a hard vacuum is pulled to remove any remaining oxygen. It's supposed to be a metallic black color, the fact that it turned white means the vacuum has been lost and the VFD is dead. There's no way to recover it without expensive tools in a clean room.
The amp can still work without it though, the VFD is just a VU meter with a one line text display above it, it'll just be harder to use since you can't see what's happening. Finding another VFD of the same type would be difficult. If you could reverse engineer the microcontroller output, it may be possible to adapt an OLED or LCD display in its place, but it's really not worth it for something this damaged and worthless.

Аппарат когда то был оч не плохой. Восстановить то, что этот баклажан типо нашел, практически нереально. Помыв с мылом платы, прозвонив провода и покрасив транс, он и правда думал, что все заведётся и поедет ?)))) я бы очень удивился , но я был уверен!
И потенциометры все у него после воды живые, громкость плавно регулируется. Крайне сомнительно.
Пацаны, он концовку снимает, а потом топит и типо куда-то мультиметром тыкает

As an electronics technician how also repairt amps, i can say there are no dificult PCB´s in there and simpe one´s like these are realy strong against any kinde of durt.
The cleaning process was realy god but for the next time if you have some Chip´s i would use a glasefiber pancel to clean it better.
But big props to the guy and his project :)

А FM не работает? Смысл тогда во всём этом? Там куча дорожек на платах... Хоть одна из них коррозировала, окислилось - и пипец. Слишком сложная техника, чтоб всё заработало после такого состояния. Это не мясорубка и не электрочайник... Короче, напрасный труд... или развод.

Как я обожаю такие ролики, трансорматор стал новым, сам перемотался, платы чудесным образом, благодаря святой воде и магической музыке, восстановились. Все радиодетали заработали, о чудо. Это волбшество. А надписи какие красивые, тоже сами нарисовались. Молодцы, железный дизлайк за наебалово............
Я тоже не понимаю, зачем он грязью пачкает мафоны. Мог бы просто пыль тряпочкой протереть и все - восстановлено.
Походу сами закапывают технику, а потом типа находят) Паяльник вообще зачётный🤣

Вы просто понятия не имеете о качестве Японской техники. Я не меньше автора перелопатил её с аукциона Яха. В некоторых аппаратах жили мыши и выводили потомство. Но самое главное, что после чистки и смазки ВСЁ работало как с завода. Можете дальше брызгать желчью.

@@Vairon76 В усилках смазывал переключатели и регуляторы. В магнитофонах и магнитолах много чего. Я думал это очевидно, но видать ты вообще не в теме.
Если сомневаешься пересмотри все видосы на его канале и попробуй сам хоть что нибудь руками сделать вместо срача в комментах.

Same here. I've been an electronic technician for 43 years. This is total bullshit. The mount of damage done to the PCBs would make it near impossible. He has another video where he restored a dual auto-reverse Kenwood tape deck. You know those auto-flip heads would not survive. I would see them all the time on my bench where dust would get mix with grease and be enough to crack the gear on the back of the head.

Look, i have nothing against this guy, but I'm an audiophile of over 30 years and i buy and sell vintage equipment and deal with professional repairs and restorations. Most of what he shows is not a restoration at all. He does a great job of editing, but definitely is NOT restoring any of these items back to new, and most of the equipment that he's showing are cheap knockoffs.
Steven Clingan Yes, real world corrosion involving dirty water would at least ruin all potentiometers and switches making the repair impossible without some component replacements. I’m an audiophile since the late 70s and enjoy some retro gear. My Velodyne servo sub from 1998 just got fixed an plays well again, but as typical for such repairs, it was about electrolytic cap replacement.
Millions of tons of EWaste are shipped to third world nations each year, it's not surprising at all something like this amp ended up in Vietnam.
There’s no way that chassis would have came that clean unless you ground it down to nothing. Didn’t see any di-electric grease on the transistors either... But hey, what do I know...
@@markgabriel3015 Why would you put dielectric grease on a transistor? I think you mean thermal compound.
Also, soaking it in a rust converter like MC-51 or Evaporust can save what good metal there is left without grinding. It just gets expensive for large items.

@@marcosvieira6145 Yes, it's fake. There have been a lot of this fake vids. The end of the video is what's recorded first, then he puts vinegar to rust it faster, and dust to make it look abandoned. Some of the components are impossible to make them work in such condition.

I don't know about you, but regardless of whether that machine will work ever again, I still find it satisfying to watch someone clean something off... even if that object was dirtied by them.

Too much rust would ruin the entire components, and pouring water to clean them... Water = rust. It's just not possible, yet is a very very satisfying video.

This is more a testament to Sony's quality (back then) more than anything else. But alas, this amp will burn up in a short while due to the fact no heat sink compound was returned to the output transistors.

You really should do behind the scene, showing how and where you get the working units and what techniques you use to make them look wrecked. The monument you started spraying the thing with oil, you just know it’s fake. No one who actually has a clue what they are doing would do that.

No graphic display , That's why they threw it away,and also why would you walk ,half a mile to throw it away in a field,with a very good chance of being seen or caught ,they would have put it out with the rubbish,the rubbish men would have been delighted with the find . And would have taken it to the local second hand shop ,and tell them,yeh it's working fine just needs a tune up. Enough said.
This thing is beyond restoration. Any guy who is familiar with DIY electronics knows that. But people love to watch,that's all. Fake.

estos videos son falsos, las mediciones que hace con el multímetro son completamente ilógicas, es imposible reparar ese equipo sin un osciloscopio para revisar las frecuencias y amplitudes de onda. Está pasando gato por liebre.

Este es un trabajo autentico, requiere paciencia pero los resultados son increíbles pero tienes que tener un iq muy alto para recordar todos los detalles y resolver problemas en los ensambles, en lo particular he hecho trabajos de ese tipo y te deja una satisfacción y sentido de logro. es increíble¡

Красиво смонтировал ролик, задом наперёд. Норм усилок разобрал, собрал. Потом бросил в грязь и опять разобрал. Монтаж и вуаля

Your videos are interesting, but stop making crude montages, when you show how you found them, because nobody believes it, it looks ridiculous and takes valuable minutes from the part when you are repairing and restoring, which is really amazing.

Hmmmm, those contacts on the integrated circuits at 14:30 are really rusty and sure in short circuit. That should not be put under voltage.
