Because the title of reclusive aficionado must be preserved? Nah, man. Don't hate a fan with a tan. If this is how they show their love there's nothing wrong with that. For comic producers to know their readers appreciate their hard work is a good thing. Maybe they're posers and I can understand your grief, but I like comics and this made me smile, so mission accomplished. Props to them, but more so this is good for the community at large.

The folks on set would have killed me for throwing mint comics around. We used leftovers from "free comic book day" and some magazines.
It's ALWAYS been cool. Saying this as a D&D nerd of the 70's. It simply wasn't cool all the way around. The measuring stick is ACCEPTANCE. That is where you get grey areas and idiotic responses like "fake geeks". Enjoy the artform or don't. You won't affect me by not caring. Individuals might annoy our community by being a bully, but you won't stop our fandom.

I've been a nerd since I was about 7 or 8, and I was raised by nerds. I willingly admit I've only been into comics since about 2005, but that's because fellow nerds took the time to educate me about which comics I'd like instead of berating me for not knowing anything. I've been teased mercilessly for liking things I like, and I don't wish the teasing on anyone. So what if it's "cool" to be a nerd, now?

Yeah, I was looking at that the same way, I was like "what about the condition!?" though chances are they were throwing around comics from the $1 bins or something, so financially it's not a huge loss.... but still :( what a way to treat a comic.
Not only that but I will tell you this channel isn't mine completely, it is shared with another person. Dont hate the other comments posted on other videos, because that comment could come from the other person, who has no involvement what so ever in this discussion. I'm pretty sure nobody in the video was a poseur. I sang the bass line in the video, and I go to Teahouse Comics (my local shop, though I used to go to Oxford Comics when I worked near there) every Wednesday for new books. I usually get Saga, Fables, Unwritten, Invincible, Atomic Robo, Think Tank, Deadpool, All-New X-Men, X-Men, and something new that looks interesting (probably a trade also, if my single-issues stack is a bit light). Calling people fakes and poseurs is pointless. Enjoy comics!

They used Free Comic Book Day promos and give-aways. You've got to know that fans wouldn't toss just anything and that the comic shop they were shooting in wouldn't let them just toss around their stock. I mean, come on! We're nerds here and this is some basic logic (song about how comics are great, but people tossing comics in air: tossing the worthless stuff). Even if you have the question, you could scroll down the comments and see it's been addressed, but you shouldn't have to.
