  • Watch as we install a 22 panel 440W ‪@JinkoSolarCoLtd‬ array, with Tigo T4 Optimisers, 16KW of ‪@foxess5669‬ battery storage and 8KW Foxess inverter. We now install bird mesh on all installations. Watch to the end to find out why.

    Nice work indeed hello from remote rural solar/wind Australia not a power line in sight. Must admit I built my own brackets that obviously got better over the last ten years or so , first attempts where a wee bit sketchy to say the least was a steep learning curve that continues if not so steep 2day for this once city boy.

    You have partial shade on one of the strings, any idea what reduction that string is seeing?

    As a Sparky / PV installer you should know the difference between quoting kW and kWh for battery storage.

      Thanks for bringing to my attention, i will make it clearer in future videos. 😊

    i notice the Live DC warning stickers. this means your solar panels have live mains AC superimposed on the DC. That AC electric field penetrates meters into the house due to the large area. I would like to have an earthed screen under all panels and have screened DC cables. Or is there an isolated PV DC that can be safely earthed or neutraled?

    Very good video, large shading left hand panels?

    I too would welcome any costs for the panels, battery -packs, inverter, etc; as well as time and labour....(This is a sizable installation with a serious contribution to cutting electricity cost)... **Note to other viewers: you should look at this as your investment in lowering your carbon footprint, and reducing your energy bill.... The 'system' will pay for itself when (and if) you sell your property.. . You don't buy a new kitchen and say: " oooo, will I get my money back?"...

    Good video, but can you explain the shading? Potentially very bad for a string inverter output. Maybe micro inverters would have been better here?

      All MCS certified solar panels have bypass diodes, so it makes virtually no difference whether you use optimisers/micro inverters or not. The loss will simply be either a full panel, half panel or less depending on the type of panel used.

      There are optimisers on this system. 👍🏽

    Are those lithium based batteries ?! And are they arranged in cells? Or are they a good quality 99% lead acid which can be refurbished new acid and dead cells.
    I’ve been looking into like a gravity based hydro power 3 phase combined with wind power and when there’s no wind I’ve got to look into 12v or 24v additional motor that might power said wind turbine maybe a starter motor from a car or truck. As I was thinking once the blades were spinning via assistance the wind turbine would power the additional 12 or 24v motor maybe it could work with the right method? Chain and sprocket driven with the correct wiring and components. Feel free to chime in !

    I’ve noticed that you don’t use a smart meter for the export meter

    May I ask the cost of the whole system installed at this size , which is co incidentally the same size as what I am looking at .

    How much energy can the 16kW battery storage hold?

    • @pmbpmb5416
      @pmbpmb5416 Před 18 dny

      What is more important is it’s depth of discharge

    • @bas5946
      @bas5946 Před 16 dny +1

      It's 16kWh of storage, but as most Electricians I see jumping on the PV gravy train list battery storage in kW which is totally incorrect and misleading. kW is a measure power, i.e the rate of discharge, kWh is energy over time or capacity of the battery storage. I see this time and again as a long term MCS registered Solar installer. Poor effort
