If you can afford to buy more panels, adding them to the rod for fullness will make a tremendous difference. Just try it and you can return them if you don’t see the impact.
When I was learning about this, I found videos and rules to help. The curtain width should be three times the window width. (I believe I could've used more.) These longer curtains are expensive. I chose blackout curtains for privacy, making sure that the curtains were the same color on both sides. Also, the rod should go beyond the window width, so when the curtains are open, they completely clear the window. I chose a double rod so sheers can be added in the future for diffused sunlight. Hemming these curtains was a big task. It was worth it for the elegance & coziness it adds to the space.
amazon had some really lux curtains that looked incredible on a youtuber's (lonefox) reno but they were pricey. i hope to splurge on those one day. curtains just make a space feel complete and less like a box
And it will glide better! I know you just put the curtains up but perhaps you can move the rod up instead of hemming them. Getting them hemmed is expensive unless you can sew
Sometimes, this can get tricky with vaulted ceilings because the wall may not go up as high on another wall in the room. However, because we went up as high as we could, which was about four inches from the ceiling on all walls, it appeared uniform throughout.
Love it! I sew blackout material on tje back which makes them heavy and feel luxurious but blocks out the heavy sun to keep the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter to reduce heating and cooling costs.
For that width and height and if you are going to open and close on a regular basis you should use a traversing rod to open and close more easily. The pockets on those drapes at that height are going to be hard on a daily use. Looks great! Nice for Amazon and a buget!
This could be my home! 😮 my ceilings 23' high and windows are 10' high 3 sets of 10'x 7'. I have pure cotton muslin (looks like yours!) but I also have Roman blinds.
CALL SMITH & NOBLE FOR CUSTOM DRAPERIES- FLOOR TO CEILING! T hose rod pocket draperies could be elevated by using a different pleat at the top and on a traverse rod for easier open & Closing .
Hook a long rod to the top of the drapes so that you can open and close them with that instead of grabing the cloth. Also a string cut to the width of the shut panels and atteched at regular intervals at the tops on the back, will even out the gathers when the drapes are closed.
It's a nightmare with huge windows 😀🙄 i decided on black nets to maximise privacy n keep my home dark as i get light sensitive migraines. So only needed light weight curtains for evenings.
glad you put them at the same height looks good
Add more panels for fullness. Looks beautiful!
That was the right move, curtains should go as high as possible on the shortest wall, then all the taller walls match the short wall
PERFECT CHOICE. VERY DRAMATIC

Lovely and elegant.

There are long poles or hooks that you can get that will help you open and close the curtains with ease as well. Nicely done.
Looks good but usually the transom is left uncovered like above the door. It’s a design element to add light and take advantage of vaulted ceilings.
Hi. They sell these remote controlled curtain openers that might come in handy for windows that high. I think they're about $60 on Amazon.

I like curtains that pull down, from the top, rather the pull up from the bottom. This gives privacy and LOTS of light.
I think if you get those clips to create folds on the curtains it will elevate the curtains more. Well done on the work you’ve done so far

Pinch pleats
IKEA has tracks that mount flush to the ceiling and can combine for any length!
Curtains look perfect. Same height on both sides is the way to go.

Place a rectangular mirror on top of the window to mimic the other side and create a symmetrical space
Love it.. it will be like a window.. indeed.
Beautifully done. Matching the height of the rods was the right move. As the old saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."😊
It looks beautiful you make the right choice for your windows
Didn’t think Amazon had such nice curtains and at that length. Wow!!!👍🏽
They look great.
I love when a man takes an interest in how the home looks. Lovely.
Looks awesome!
Excellent good job
Looks beautiful! You have a lovely home 🏠
Perfectly done.

Maybe more panels. Beautiful ❤❤

Rod placement is superb
Wow. Love it ❤
What are unique dining room set. 😊 I love it!
They look fabulous. Beautiful room.
That looks amazing! Great job!
Love it! I sew blackout material on tje back which makes them heavy and feel luxurious but blocks out the heavy sun to keep the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter to reduce heating and cooling costs.
Add curtain rings so it’s easier to open and close them, just a friendly suggestion 😊
Or you can choose curtains with grommets, which I initially tried to avoid, but glad I didn't. Now it's easy to open & close the curtains.
It looks wonderful. On the second set between the rod and the trim I'd put up a metal design in black iron right in the center❤
Custom made curtains are the answer.
Looks great
Visual impact is so glamorous! 🎉🎉❤❤❤
Stunning
Just beautiful!!!
I’ve been looking for curtains in this length that are flowy and beautiful! Thank you 🤍🤍🤍
I love curtains/blind combos. Would not have it any other way.
Great job!👍 This looks really good. My first home had tall windows like that.
I feel like the big windows need two more just to make it more full and less barely filling
Looks great!❤
They need to match the height on both sides. Great job.👍
Purrrfect!
Same issue.. I like how yours looked

Looks Great - Great Tastes!
With the high ceilings I think the way the windows are put in are genius
I cant find your storefront. Please provide a link.

❤️ the height!

Wonderful look!
Great job!!😊
Little bit of colour would be nice now.❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love your videos!!
Love the look!
Please share links.
Love it!!!
What I would do is add lace to it for length either at the top or bottom.
This could be my home! 😮 my ceilings 23' high and windows are 10' high 3 sets of 10'x 7'. I have pure cotton muslin (looks like yours!) but I also have Roman blinds.
It added so much!! ❤❤❤
Me too. Thanks for sharing.
Much better and I agree
Love the curtains! I have vaulted ceilings as well - great solution! Your green throw? Where did you find?
you need to add more panels for fullness..also add weights to hemline
CALL SMITH & NOBLE FOR CUSTOM DRAPERIES- FLOOR TO CEILING! T hose rod pocket draperies could be elevated by using a different pleat at the top and on a traverse rod for easier open & Closing .
You could use a blind to cover the wall space over the lower window.
If you want them functional you need to put them on rings so they slide on the rod easier
Great job.
Nice Decor
Very nice❤
Que hermoso..me gusta
Looks great👍
Put a decoratiom over the smaller window inside the panel ❤❤
I would do a ceiling track instead of a rod
I think a ceiling track, when the ceiling isn't flat, will present new problems.
It looks amazing. Can I ask where you got your ladder please?
Add more panel a different color so it will look ful.
Beautiful great taste and a good eye
It works
You should look into retractable curtain set up instead
Looks really nice
Beautiful! Where did you purchase your ladder
Beautiful! Where did you buy your chairs?
Beautiful. Ladder details please and Thank you.❤
Looks very good.

Wow amazing job ❤
I disagree about adding more panels. They look great.
With the blinds to control the light when you want to watch TV.
Omg I need them, can u pls send the link pls???? Thank you
It's a nightmare with huge windows 😀🙄 i decided on black nets to maximise privacy n keep my home dark as i get light sensitive migraines. So only needed light weight curtains for evenings.
Good job.👍
Would have looked better if you would have left the smaller top windows uncovered. Scale is off now.
Great choice 💖
