It looks like the buffet still needs work! I went there before the Pandemic in it was awful then… it appears nothing has changed. I love your honesty
That mystery cake looked like a German chocolate cake. And I agree with the size of the cake, you're kind of committed to eating only one type of dessert.

Only Danny can make a "Bottom of the Barrel" Casino and buffet seem entertaining. Last I even went inside the Excalibur was I was young and not making money!
I was put off the food on display when I saw the mess the stations were in. Not a lot of care taken in keeping the serving dishes replenished and the bench surfaces clean....still liked watching the vid though, coz this guy Danny is a bit of humour!
I laughed when you ate the brisket with all the fat and you said "ummm...". Looked like you enjoyed the brisket.
My favorite part of this video is when you put the taco meat on the fish. You are very funny and entertaining. Special mention; I also loved the shot of your packed suitcase at the end. LOL

28:15 That is German chocolate cake. It traditionally has coconut icing. Maybe that is what threw you off in guessing the flavor. Some like it, some people dislike it.

Having eaten there a couple of times in the last few stays, I was pretty happy with it. That Rigatoni was good. I don't think people realize that the colorful roasted vegetables at the carvery aren't just for aesthetics. Roasted veggies are delicious. I was in line for an omelet and stuck my plate over and had the carvery guy slip me some roasted hot peppers. Dessert spread there is as good as any. The crepes to order is awesome. And yeah, pie. So many buffets don't seem to offer pie. (I love pie.) I'm pretty sure our next stay is going to be at Excalibur in October or early November. Comp room nights at other properties weren't there. And I'm getting more resort credit now at Excalibur and Luxor. The BOGO reward from MyVegas makes it worth going for sure.
Nice to see you're trying some of the foods I haven't yet. Mac n' Cheese has been a big disappointment. Even at the Bellagio Buffet. You'd think they'd have done it right.
Fried chicken is usually pretty good on the buffets. We went to the MGM Grand Buffet earlier this year, decently stoned. I started to look the buffet over and the first stop was fried chicken. My stoner hunger said "grab that". So, I went all "Colonel Sanders" on that mofo.
Oh yeah... (just commenting as I watch your video)... I love getting a cup of black coffee to wash down desserts. I normally don't drink it straight black, but when enjoying loads of sweets, it washes it down nice. Yeah, that's canned pie filling. Loaded with sugar. We run our own bakery operation and make filling from scratch. We control the ingredients and sugar levels that way.
Can't wait to get back there this Fall.
This is why I like to watch DTM...he offers a "No Crepe" analysis of the foods he's sampling.....and his comments are entertaining!...Good Job Dude!
I liked when you put the shrimp into the crab salad. It looked tasty like that. It all looked ok, but like you have shown before, there seems to be better food elsewhere. Thanks for the video!

Great video as always. Been to the Excalibur Buffet about 6 times the last 20 years. Always a good value compared to the other buffets. Remembered back in 2009, the one-time buffet was about $9/person and the 24 hour buffet was $18 so it was a no-brainer to get the 24 hour wristband to have breakfast-lunch-dinner-late night snack- then next day breakfast for that price.
Last time at Vegas in 2017 with family, it was still like $16/person. Now everything went up and the one-time is $26.99. Don't think will visit Vegas anytime soon.
I remember the Imperial Palace buffet had it's own 24 hour pass.. bad food all day long! LOL
@@dannythemedic First time I ate at Imperial Palace was in New Year Eve 2000 with friends and siblings. Don't remember the food and didn't remember getting food poison so it might have been ok :).

Edit: Ok, for the price paid I can see why it is the way it is. That's very decent value.

@@dannythemedic. I’m not much of a meat person (mostly just ground beef) and I could so make a massive meal out of this buffet. I’m the guy buffers love as I can fill up on breads, pancakes, tacos, pizza, salad, ice cream, all the cheap stuff lol
I think that was Rhubarb Pie which is usually a bit tart if so much sugar wasn't used. Too bad. I understand about wanting small taste size varieties for dessert. The Ending... Funny, as usual. 😀😉

Hate to say it….but most of the buffet items are bought it, majority off the items are from a box not that it can’t taste good.

sure, plenty of hot streaks.. which just gets washed out by the eventual losing streaks that are much more common and powerful...

The shrimp eval was so funny!....brisket looked good but that's about all that looked good! Disappointed so many stations were out of food offerings. I don't like to go to a station and see the food offerings empty! One of my peeves! Needless to say, I probably won't be going there.
When I was there pre-covid, I was able to always snag a 1 comp buffet (myvegas). Now, they took it away and just have the bogo.

I feel the Excalibur is the best of the MGM trifecta of the Excalibur and Luxor and MGM Grand buffets. Even better with a 2 for 1 My Vegas coupon.

I went to Excalibur buffet earlier this year, everything either very salty or tasteless. There was thai soup extremely salty taste like mixture of soy sauce and fish sauce, the worst meal i had in my entire trip.
u know, if you dont like it, just go and get something else, its an AYCE buffet... Theres always gonna be stuff you dont like.
I ate there Sunday, I found the food tasty… better than the palms imho
Well, they have WAY more deserts than I thought (even KEY LIME PIE!!) they would have and the food doesn't look TOO bad...

That cake seemed to be German chocolate cake. The tip-off is the frosting. Most certainly not cherry or other fruits.
I like the Excalibur Buffet, I just had the MGM Grand buffet last week and was dissapointed.

you see, turkey breast does not naturally look like a giant loaf of bread. I suspect it is breast meat fused together to form presentable looking slices. When you have to feed lots of people, and you are a business looking to save money, as many institutions are, you end up serving the institution turkey
The Buffet at Excalibur Las Vegus is very dirty. I lost my appetite at about 30 seconds in.

I'm surprised to see so many reviews not totally trashing the Excalibur Buffet. Feedback seems average to pretty-good-for-the price.
Excalibur Buffet aint bad really, lots of people throw it into the mix with Luxor and MGM grand, which are really horrid buffets, they just assume due to the MGM affiliation, tier, and what could have been a tainted past history. What also helps is that they have a food back guarantee built in! If you dont like it, go get something different LOL... and at the end if non of it you dont like, speak with the manager to get a refund or a return pass for next time. It is up to WE THE PEOPLE to speak up every time, this is the only way for the buffets to get better... Thank you for watching!

Off the subject, but did you see that the Jumbo Floating restaurant in Hong Kong sunk. I went there many years a go and it was a great experience.

I generally don't like to criticize a buffet because I used to eat at the old imperial palace buffet. And although I never thought it was bad. I used to read so many bad reviews for it. And I couldn't find any problems with it. But I have to say I know the exclaber is starting to show its age you would think they could keep their buffet at a better quality. The food looks so unappetizing I Am sure it's good but they are not keeping areas clean. There is no reason to let this buffet go down hill if they did some small upgrades to the atmosphere of the serving area and made it more appealing. They would see an increase in customers
I feel the same way about eating at the Imperial palace buffet. It wasn't gourmet but for the price it was just fine. Also, I remember staying at the Excalibur when it 1st opened and we ate the at the buffet everyday. Especially breakfast a $1.99 😆 it was awesome
im sure they are busy but maybe have a couple of people cleaning up around the food items woul look nicer and cleaner.

Is there any shrimp that is not "Fresh Frozen"? Fresh Shrimp had got to have gone through some kind of refrigeration process except if you on site of a fish auction. Now that is fresh seafood.

8 minute mark on Excalibur buffet about four months ago. I found the other one, Bellagio FULL FRIDAY NIGHT that was posted two months ago so not sure but 17 minute mark they're there. Watch both...too funny because I saw them today and couldn't believe it.
Excalibur is trash man. you are better off just going to south point for cheap buffet. Excalibur charges like $30 bux when its worth $15 max.
Southpoint buffet is AT SOUTHPOINT... that is pretty darn far..
For the money...I guess it's ok.
