Alaska is number one because of a few reasons:
1: There is something like 2 men for every 1 women in Alaska
2: It's extremely rural outside of the population centers, therefore crime is easier to get away with.
3: A lot of these super rural places don't even have a police force, so you'd have to wait hours for a state trooper to get to you, if you are even accessible by road. Lots of villages are only accessible by plane or snow mobile.

Im from South Dakota. Beautiful state but the Pine Ridge reservation has more rapes than the entire state combined. We have many Native reservations which are ridden with drugs, alcohol, and sexual violence. They get minimal funding and are a hub for crimes. It largely contributes to the anti-colonial attitude Native Americans have due to the land largely being stolen via war/laws at some point, leaving them with minimal funding for schools and positive resources.

I got r-worded multiple times when trying to make friends. I’m asd so I’m easy to trick, I got in a strangers vehicle just being offered food sooo yeah. Not ideal, when I told family they essentially downplayed it and one of my family said it was my fault, but I also just wanted to make friends. Idk it kinda destroyed my mind because it got combined with dating a guy who would h*rt me and like constantly belittle me combined with other stuff. Idk I ended up seeing myself as akin to a doll that’s lifeless unless animated by some aggressor who I bow to not even by choice but by some sort of primal fear or instinct I can’t describe. I am in recovery from it all but WOWEE I went from very outgoing and thoughtful and hopeful to destroyed in a few years.

If a woman is being abused in her relationship, and says that she was raped, say, every day for a month, most countries would count that as one rape occurring, but in Sweden it would be counted as thirty. So each individual act is counted, whereas the typical method is to count it simply as one if it occurred between the same people in a relatively short span of time. So, it's not actually as bad as it sounds. Or alternatively, it's actually way worse than it sounds in the rest of the world, depending on how you look at it.
