Thank you so much for your very informative video,am really enjoying it and am interested to try it at my backyard.my question is: would it be ok for me to use a bare dug out pond without any pond liner or taupaline? Meaning just water into a dug out and fingerlings in.
In theory, it makes no sense, but practically it does because ducks will rarely eat your fish. if anything, they will actually feed your fish their poop. They will concentrate on enjoying their swim and mating, not on eating fish. Again, when there are possible predators on the water's surface, fish often go underwater. While ducks can go there too, that rarely happens because ducks enjoy swimming on the water's surface.
Hi. Just looked at your website. Thanks. You say it’s better to have a monosex pond of males but you state somewhere else that if you have ducks you need females. I want to keep ducks, what in your opinion is the best way to go? Thanks
