    Don't let this distract you from the fact that Britain blew a 13-0 colony lead.

    Interesting how the England fans are waving the Union Jack. Why is that?

      Presumably over time, home nation nationalism has increased? I don't know, but it could be that the Cross of St George wasn't associated with football 50 years ago.

    • @OdinMMA
      @OdinMMA Před 8 lety +6

      Heinkle You have a good point there, however on some of the shots of large sections of the crowd there were one or two St. George's flags. It's just surprising to me because it's extremely rare to see the Union Jack flown in support of any of the individual nations of GB except in the case of Northern Ireland.

      Because back then we were more United and if Scotland/Ireland didnt qualify they would support England..... but now they are increasingly bitter about England and really rude to us....... no bloody idea why

    England scored 4 goals not 3. Even if you take away the disputed goal, guess what ? England still wins the match! Cant blame the officials for that!

    Too many games are decided by incorrect referee decisions even today. This sports needs an additional referee with access to the camera feeds.

      It was settled long ago.. no goal. But England seemed to be the better team anyway and probably would have won in the end. Fun fact: In those days they'd replay the game as many time as necessary until a winner emerged, if it was tied after extra time.
