When you say these students, are you referring to the actual protesters on the ground or the demographic of UCI? And what would make you think that the Chinese students who are protesting, are not aware of their own history? Are you saying that they cannot speak up for a better future because of the past sins of their government? Is that why you don't speak up?

I'm literally a student at UCI and we are doing just fine thank you very much. The building occupied is just a lecture hall and all of our buildings have multiple points of entry. But I appreciate your concern.

So I am speaking on behalf of UCI encampment as I have been following from it’s inception and has been peaceful and non-confrontational. Families, kids and neighbors supported the encampment and with no problems. My daughter felt safe there and was often therLook at all the cops. Police OVERREACTION. Stand strong anteaters. UCI Alum

Peaceful?? I see hardhats and masks and protective eye gear. You were planning on defying/escalating to the point of conflict with our police. Yeah....our police.
I'm a parent and I'm not happy! I'm not against peaceful protest, but they should be protesting during the day and go home at night, not to camp and vandalize the school. According to UCI Admin the protestors also demanded to defund the UCI Campus Police and that is a no no.
Only 9% of the protesters are students, the rest of the protesters are communists organizers groups. THE PARENTS ARE NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!! These protesters are no peaceful at all, the students are suffering anxiety and confusion and that is violence!!! If you want to protest go to the White House!! Do not go to intimidate innocent students that just want to STUDY!!!
