    Al, the device is an Aldi copy of the fizzics draft pour. bloody brilliant device. I've had mine for 4 years and still use it every week.particularly good for non nitro stouts and gassy pils/hells/kölsh etc. 660ml warsteiners are good in it, as are the giant FAX (1 litre) cans from home bargains. cheers Al

      This only holds up to 500ml but still good I think, cheers

      Ive just had a look at the Fizzics one and it does look good. Will take all size bottles and cans and USB power. Worth doing a review on this one mate??

    Hi mate,
    Great video comparing the two.
    I did my own A/B comparison tonight albeit with two depressurised draught 440ml cans.
    I found the one poured with the Nitrosurger to be smoother, creamier head and much better taste compared to the one from the Aldi pump.
    The Aldi one in comparison was thinner, less creamy head and it actually tasted worse with no coffee taste, I also did a can of Guinness 0% in it and exactly the same result.

      Cheers, not a bad bit of kit for the money though.

      @@SpiceandEazy Oh yeah it's not awful but in terms of taste, the nitrosurge attachment beats it.
      The Aldi dispenser allows for a proper draught pour feel though with the handle and all.

    Yes makes sense that the longer pipe will taste better for the Guinness, cleaning might be an issue and good point to pour bottles into a glass and use the gizmo.

      I put a glass of water in it and run it through to clean it after use, cheers

    Ah I get it now....I did watch the video in full but I didn't really understand the effect that it had on the final pint....thanks for clarifying

    The flow rate is different plus the cans gas would have gone to a large degree when put into the glass but interesting idea

      Still worked though and very little difference between them.

    It flattens beer. To compare it to draught is farcical. Foamy creamy head. Flat beer. No thanks

    • @MLAM168
      @MLAM168 Před 24 dny +2

      I never understood why people think having a foamy head means a flat beer.
      If anything no head makes it look flat but it’s not released the gas, that makes it super gassy and makes you bloated.
      Unfortunately a lot of people like it that way because they “get a full pint” with no head.

    • @SpiceandEazy
      @SpiceandEazy  Před 24 dny

      Yeah I like a bit less gas as it does bloat you up quick but each to their own lol, cheers

    £7.50 for 4 pints is pretty much the same price as £5 for 4X440ml cans (which is 3 pints)
    10P a pint difference
