Why stay with someone who cheats and only hurts you? It's best to end things so you can move on with your life before they get worse. But as the story goes on, it's like did we or Robella miss something about Alexandros? She said in the original novel he didn't care about her and only cared about Aisha. Now, like her, it's like he's a completely different person. He won't agree to the divorce and is trying to be a good husband to her. Is there something we're not understanding about his character or what?
idk may the emperor liked the chase i guess? old robellia was loyal and was fine with doing even aisha work so emperor didnt care as she is loyal doy but maybe he was involved with aisha because maybe like now he also seen through her in past too. he might felt the chase about what she was about to do. the emperor is a heartless person so he didnt love robellia but now he might felt that curiosity what will she do next in robellia now. maybe he found her interesting then the aisha now. it may be because he is emperor too. generally as emperor he might not look into people who are loyal to him but these people who you dont know what they will do next he have to focus on them because of work. that might happened to robellia in the past maybe emperor trusted her that she will be loyal but she turned more interesting ofcourse he have to pay attention to her. thats why i really hope she divorced that man and find someone better. she is the empress but he didnt do anything for three years until present robellia rebelled .it was really unlikely that he dont know that consort have more power than the empress. he didnt force aisha to do her work until robellia forced her. he isnt a good husband in the first place. even now he wanted her to take care of the mess even after knowing aisha is plotting against her. he never gave aisha the reality check that she was dealing with the empress , his empress.
First things first, love is messy and can also be harsh, which is why in history most wars start from love.... But mainly, its just that the King simply did what he wanted to get the throne since there were people in his way. So now i think that there's so much push back and honesty about her own desires from Robella which made the King desire her. S o that just means he has to try harder in order to claim her too. Also im pretty sure an empress isnt supposed to bow down to anyone since they are equal in terms of the emperor, and its even said in the story that the empress represents the empire. If she has super expensive dresses and jewelry that match the price of a castle or city, then that means that the empire has high status and power. He even bought a street for both legal and illegal trade just for observation on his own people, which goes to show that he is still following his one interests and desires. So im pretty sure its just you not understanding how simple his desires and interests are, he's purely just a permanent insatiated wolf that is eagerly devouring everything that he wants for the thrill of it. Theres's really nothing else to it...
Well done...Because of the exciment of this story ven the narrator style is annoying it still fun and inspiring. What most impressive about the empress for this part of this story is that, she is not desperate copycat like any FL in other story. She rebelliously fight the mistress elegantly on her own, she is not slut who immediately entangling herself with other man for support. This show she is strong and show her wisdom without gave up her body to other men. Giving self to other men is Sign of weakness, if the girl not capable and weak so she is not capable so she give herself to another man so boring, the kind of story i found in many love triangle.
Don't judge him based on what happened in the book the FL reads. How he is in that book is NOT how he is in world she finds herself in. You learn more about both him and Aisha later. He isn't inherently cruel and Aisha... is a truly dumb b*tch being manipulated by someone else.

Clarifications because I have a fascination about this manwha- 18:49- The Emperor was scolding Aisha for downplaying her privilege. Even if she is being 'frugile', Aisha get custom made dresses along with jewelry. She has access to food along with the empire's best teachers. Even if the fabric of her dresses are less luxurious, Aisha isn't poor by any means. Even if she's just a consort, she gets a large budget for her position. 41:10- The reason why the nobles were having such negative responses to the buffet is because if the particular foods Aisha picked out- the biggest issues being how spicy it is along with texture. What Robellia did to 'fix' the buffet was altering the pre-existing food by frying/watering down the spice. This freaks Aisha out because Robellia would need 'otherworld' information to know about the alternative ways to serve the food. Edit: RIP the art style in the later chapters
As long as the art doesn't get as bad as the shift in Untouchable Lady we should be good. The art change in that one kind of made me drop the story haha
