Madine Pittendrigh first year is really the best time for yourself socially! I worked hard at the beginning of the year but realized that if I worked at the pace that I did I matric I would burn out very easily. Especially considering that this is a 6 year degree! So I say, have fun where you can, make friends and go out but also remember why you went to university in the first place. Do you think that is possible if I attend any other university for the above degrees beside Stellenbosch University and then come back to Stellenbosch University, I will be admitted? Hi Asemahle. I don’t think it’s possible here in SA. Because even if you don’t take the traditional route to Medicine, which ever other course you take in the medical field will require physics. However, in the US you can do any course in high school, you then go to college for four years. The only thing that gets you in the medical field is a test called MCAT. You can always go study abroad if medicine is really your dream. All the best!
Hey I applied for Medicine physiotherapy as well as BSc at Stellenbosch university but only one subject (grade 11 marks) that does not meet the minimum requirements for medicine , so if I pass the SJT test ,and my final exams will I be considered or not?
hi, I made the mistake of making medicine my 2nd option in stellenbosch when applying, are they going to still consider me? I tried changing it, but it's not possible anymore. please , I need some clarity on this
Hey .... I am currently studying at UJ and my course fall under department of Sciences. So if I want to apply for medicine..... will I need to use my matric results??
The first bursary was called the Merit bursary... I think they give it to you every year that you achieve above 80%. I’m not sure... I think things have changed now. The second one was called the Recruitment Bursary which is for 4 years. I didn’t really have to apply for it. I got it based on my marks. I would suggest applying for the department of Health bursary in your province of interest💕
Thank you so so much for this ...... I have a question though..... I don’t do as great in my grade 11 results which truly sucks but I’m working really hard for trails. Can I still get prelim acceptance using those results ?
Hii thank you for you responding !!!! ❤️❤️ I meant the September trail exams actually ..... but yes also the final exams as well . Since there’s like “space issues” with med schools ..... I have doubts and experience disbelief about getting in. Even though I’m passionate about this.
Can you please do one of how you overcame the pressure through out these years Iam a junior in meerhoff I keep seeing y’all seniors in the education building always studying , you even study at TSS I wanna know like how hard is it to get to final year
Phaswane David every year possess its unique challenges. Final year however has been exhausting for me personally. The pressure of being in final year alone is enough to force you to study but also because we can promote modules, we tend to work extra hard in a rotation to avoid the exam at the end of the year🙈 but don’t worry about how, you’ll definitely get there🤍🤍

hey moratwe, this was helpful but I'm confused , in order to get into medical school don't you need to firstly get an undergraduate degree ( mabye a bachelor's degree in biology ) which mabye takes 4 years then apply for medical school ?
Hi Palesa. It is possible. You can do any course in the medical field, make sure that you do the required modules such as biology/chemistry/math. And make sure that you get very high marks. All the best!
I want to get into Medical school so badly but I’m struggling so much with maths. My other marks are 85% and above but my maths is sitting in the 30s (I’m in grade 10). I’m so stuck as to what to do. I can’t afford tutoring and I’m trying my best and working hard but I just can’t seem to grasp it. Any tips as what to do because I’m completely lost
Hey xx I completely understand! I struggled with maths and physics in High School and was getting 60s the whole year of my matric year until I figured out the best way for me to study only at the end of the year and before my final exams. I didn’t find tutoring helpful at all and I turned to CZcams videos (Mindset Learn in particular). They had all the topics we covered in school and taught in a much simpler way than what my school teachers did and I found that helpful. ❤️
@@MoratweMasima Thanks for the feedback. One last one,are there for example alternative dates for international applicants or it's just between June and August?
To be honest I can’t determine that because a conditional offer is based on different things in different Universities. I would say try working on your physics in matric and apply with your June/July results because medicine is very competitive 💕

They only look at your grade 11 4th term marks
June marks for grad 11 or grd 12. Then later on, your end of year results.
@@nkuliziyanda8185 thank you!🥺was so stressed..I'm in grade 11..I will push harder so that my average is higher!
@@palisanxasane1994 that means you wont be accepted if your june marks aren't good in grade 11..but your term 4 marks are good?
How many points do I need to get accepted in Stellenbosch for medicine???
hiii❤ is it true that the lectures at stellenbosch are in afrikaans
No we weren’t taught in Afrikaans
Hi are admissions for medicine open now?
Hello,
Does South Africa accept East African students into MBChB?
Does Stellenbosh have a alternative way to get into medicine
Hey I applied for Medicine physiotherapy as well as BSc at Stellenbosch university but only one subject (grade 11 marks) that does not meet the minimum requirements for medicine , so if I pass the SJT test ,and my final exams will I be considered or not?
What is your why?
hi, I made the mistake of making medicine my 2nd option in stellenbosch when applying, are they going to still consider me? I tried changing it, but it's not possible anymore. please , I need some clarity on this
Hi! I’m not too sure actually
I think I put medicine as my first and Stats as my second choice 🤔
Have you gotten a response yet?
Do you go straight after grade 12 to medical school?
Voda User Yes❤️
Hey .... I am currently studying at UJ and my course fall under department of Sciences. So if I want to apply for medicine..... will I need to use my matric results??
Can i ask how did you get your busary?
The first bursary was called the Merit bursary... I think they give it to you every year that you achieve above 80%. I’m not sure... I think things have changed now. The second one was called the Recruitment Bursary which is for 4 years. I didn’t really have to apply for it. I got it based on my marks. I would suggest applying for the department of Health bursary in your province of interest💕
Thank you so so much for this ...... I have a question though..... I don’t do as great in my grade 11 results which truly sucks but I’m working really hard for trails. Can I still get prelim acceptance using those results ?
Hi 🌸 by trials do you mean final matric exams?
Hii thank you for you responding !!!! ❤️❤️ I meant the September trail exams actually ..... but yes also the final exams as well . Since there’s like “space issues” with med schools ..... I have doubts and experience disbelief about getting in. Even though I’m passionate about this.
@@uvir7378 have hope my dear but continue to push
@@LadyKayy-xf8gd thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Girl you so cute❤️🔥
Sne Dhlamini thank you 💕
Do you have any resurces to prepare on the NBT
Can you please do one of how you overcame the pressure through out these years Iam a junior in meerhoff I keep seeing y’all seniors in the education building always studying , you even study at TSS I wanna know like how hard is it to get to final year
Phaswane David every year possess its unique challenges. Final year however has been exhausting for me personally. The pressure of being in final year alone is enough to force you to study but also because we can promote modules, we tend to work extra hard in a rotation to avoid the exam at the end of the year🙈 but don’t worry about how, you’ll definitely get there🤍🤍
im in grade11 and want to start the process is it too early
Nice Video
I'm South African but doing the Cambridge curriculum, would it be possible to get in with my IGCSE'S and AS levels?
Yes it is possible to get in using IGS and AS. However the requirements for certain universities are slightly different .
I'm also doing cambridge
I'm writing my IGs in oct/Nov but I want to drop chemistry at AS do you think I can get in with only IGCSE chemistry or do I need it at AS as well
@@uzuz8704 hi , which subjects so you do
@@KamogeloMaponya at the moment I do Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths Extended, , Geography, English Language, Literature and Afrikaans.
@@uzuz8704 I suggest you keep your sciences , especially biology. If you want more information , DM me on Insta @kamo.maponya
DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS SITUATIONAL JUDGEMENT TEST?????
No we didn’t have that when I was studying 🙈
What would happen if we did not take Physical science but take Maths and Bio in high school ?
Jazmyn Byrne I personally don’t know anyone that’s gotten in without Physical Science. It’s a core subject like mathematics xx
I think try WITS Uni ?
Maybe do a NQF 5 in physical science and apply for medschool the following year
Nice video
hey moratwe, this was helpful but I'm confused , in order to get into medical school don't you need to firstly get an undergraduate degree ( mabye a bachelor's degree in biology ) which mabye takes 4 years then apply for medical school ?
Hi! No it doesn’t work that way in South Africa xx we go straight from matriculating to university 🌸
Hi Palesa. It is possible. You can do any course in the medical field, make sure that you do the required modules such as biology/chemistry/math. And make sure that you get very high marks. All the best!
Can i take CAT as 3rd subject
Already inspired
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
*everything
could swear this one went to cosmetic school
Room tour pleasseee ❤️❤️❤️
It’s coming after my exams ❤️🙏🏾
Can you apply using your grade 12 term one report
No
Have you ever thought of going to study overseas?
Uhm... not for undergrad. I think once I want to specialize then I’d consider going overseas maybe and experience something different 😌
You're beautiful. Omg.
Thank you 🥰
I have a question, does Stellenbosch allow foreigners to study medicine?
Yes, there are international students
@@MoratweMasima Thanks for the feedback. One last one,are there for example alternative dates for international applicants or it's just between June and August?
Do you stay in res?
Rita Kase Yes I do xx
Are you required to understand or speak some afrikaans and Xhosa?
We do a module in first year where you have to pass either Xhosa or Afrikaans so yes we do study it for a semester
I got an Average of 83% for grd11(2020) with 62% in physics, 86% Maths n English 86%. Do I stand a chance? For a conditional offer?
To be honest I can’t determine that because a conditional offer is based on different things in different Universities. I would say try working on your physics in matric and apply with your June/July results because medicine is very competitive 💕
@@MoratweMasimahey, june/july results tsa grade11 or 12?
