Before we get started, be sure to have all the necessary tools and equipment on hand, including a torque wrench, a socket set, and a cylinder head gasket. Once you've gathered everything you need, it's time to get started.
Step 1: Remove the old cylinder head
Start by removing other components that are in the way of accessing the cylinder head(like the fuel lines, radiator, radiator hoses, alternator, fuel tank etc). Then, loosen and remove the bolts that secure the cylinder head to the engine block. Gently lift the cylinder head off of the engine block and set it aside. Important do it in the opposite direction of installing the cylinder bolts so you can prevent damaging the old cylinder head.
Step 2: Clean the engine block
Using a gasket scraper and a wire brush, clean any old gasket material and debris off of the engine block. It's important to make sure the surface is clean and smooth before installing the new cylinder head. Also clean the head bolts with a brush and dip them in oil.
Step 3: Install the new cylinder head
Carefully place the new cylinder head onto the engine block, making sure it is aligned properly. Install the new cylinder head gasket, and then secure the cylinder head in place with the bolts. Use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to the 78NM we have mentioned in the video for the Kubota B6000/ZL600 engine.
Step 4: Reinstall other components
Once the cylinder head is installed, it's time to put everything back together. Reinstall any components that were removed earlier, such as the air cleaner assembly. Double-check that everything is in its proper place and securely fastened.
And there you have it - your Kubota B6000's cylinder head has been successfully replaced! Don't forget that Shop4trac has all the parts you need to keep your compact tractor running smoothly. Be sure to subscribe to our channel for more helpful tips and tutorials like this one.

@@shop4trac Bloody thing! Again!
Three times now it's launched itself into a gully trying to kill me, this time breaking a tie-rod end.
I think it possessed by the angry spirit of an old Asian Rice farmer!
I may need a Priest not a Mechanic.
Thanks for the great video.
Thank you for watching! I love to give people information about these old tractors so they can survive.
How did you set the timing when you reassembled the head ???
I need to disassemble mine (B6000).
It is leaking oil and water from the rear of the engine. It seems to be leaking from in between the block and the head
👍👍
Hello from Greece! Do you know what filler i must use to my Kubota B7000?
What are the valve clearance and head torque specs? Is there a good manual for the B6000E
how many moments does it take? 😊
Do you know how to adjust the decompression valve system on B6000? The workshop manual has no prosedure for it and it looks different than B6100/B7100?
Hi, You have the ZL600 engine. That's different in comparing with the B6100 or B7100 tractors. If you need anything please contact support@shop4trac.com
B6100 hetting problm
I hope you drained the oil and cleaned the drain pan before you did all that!
Thanks for the video but the cylinder head gasket you sell are not unsable : much too thick and the shape is not rigorous. This changes the compression ration and the tractor does not start ...
Hi, Please let me know what you mean! We have 2 thickness for sleeved cylinder heads and standard head gaskets. Did you check if you have cracks in your cylinder liner? That's very important. Grtz. Support
