    Nice review, I bought the exact same watch here in the UK, it was an impulse buy after seeing it in a jewellers window. Like you I didn't like the waffle dial on the automatic. When they sized it in the shop it felt Ok but a couple of days later I had to take the half link out and now its perfect.

    14:59 I second your opinion on the whole resemblance of the Oysterquartz. I was immediately reminded of that model when I saw this.
    I got the same 40 mm blue quartz version as well and we have almost the same wrist size. Somehow it doesn't look so great on my wrist - not because of the size but because of the color of my skin 😂 I'm a bit dark in complexion so shiny sparkly things don't work well with my skin tone lol.

      My wrist is 7. I tried on the 35. It's really small. My daily is a 39mm tag that has lug to lug of 46mm. I had an op 126000 and that was good too but the 35mm prx felt really tiny. It didn't help the bracelet tapers very narrow by the clasp. 40mm sub for me is as big as I'll go, got ride of the smp300 because I disliked how big it felt. I enjoy my watches on the smaller side and the 35 I don't think I could do. I'm looking to get a 35mm santos atm

    Quartz might be the logical choice, but buying expensive watches is not logical at all. I would go with the blue Automatic every day of the week, the green Automatic is a bit dull in the shade.

  • @davidcrandall4958
    @davidcrandall4958 Před 2 lety +1

    I don't know If the 35mm will come in powermatic but that is good because the powermatic is Lazer regulated which means you can't regulate it yourself nor can your local jewelry shop which means you will have to send it into Tissot for regular maintenance or repair which will be expensive and problematic and anyway the quartz is more of an accurate remake of the late 70,s Tissot Seastar,not the Royal oak and by the way the 35mm fits larger,so I would get the 35mm quartz and I have an average sized wrist and you will end up getting it maintained more than once in the long run., It is a dead on reissue of the late 70,s Tissot Seastar,not the AP or the Rolex

    The thing is if you spend the 40 grand on a watch (AP for example) you will most likely sell it in a few years with a BIG profit, plus you own an amazing timepiece. Of course not everyone can afford a watch like that, but if you can it's better to own that than having cash in a bank that's for sure.

      And then you lose your sense of freedom, moving about cautiously in fear of your safety, that makes it become a watch box queen, not so sure with inflation fluctuation from time to time, right now the watch industry is shaky and yes, still you got to be a small millionaire to foldout 40k on a watch..

Do you think those thugs will not want to chop your hand off when you're wearing this PRX? You think they follow the watch world so carefully and know their watch models? :) You don't need to spend 40k, you could easily have purchased a Rolex OP that has doubled its price in the last 2-3 years.

      @@PoltergeistWorks I got the prx quartz for £200 new (RRP £295), so wouldn’t even lose money if wanted to sell. Won’t sell it though, it’s a keeper. If you’re buying a watch for £40.000 to sell for £60,000 in 10/15 years time then that’s a poor return on investment. Wear watches and enjoy them

      Dude it's too big. The 2 end links dont articulate down. The lug to lug including the fixed end links is 51mm lol. Each side overhangs. You could fly a plane through the gaps at each side between his wrist and the endlinks. You are focused solely on the 40mm dial without looking at the full picture. The 35mm is the answer here.
