I have an extended shoe horn too! Super helpful.
I buy cloth running shoes and just wash them in the shower as I’m washing myself. I use toilet bowl cleaner and a small hand brush, then rinse and put them in the garage to dry.

Great tips. With the shoe powder would it be possible to do a spray with some essential oils added to a pinch of corn starch and baking soda or no. Also I live sneakers with dresses and skirts. It all depends on the dress or skirt and the style of the the sneaker.
I throw them in with rag towels and they come out great. I've even done this with suede 😅
I like variety. Sporty shoes with sporty clothes and dress shoes with dress clothes. My newest favorites is Jambu! I use to live on work boots my fav is from Roadrunner catalog.
Do you have any hacks for properly cleaning soft sided luggage?
You absolutely have to go and buy yourself of sketchers slip-on sneakers - game changer. No more shoe horns. They are pricey but so worth it.
Which enzyme cleaner did you use?
I have a white quartz counter top and I dropped some turmeric on it and it got stained 😢. How does one keep quartz countertops clean? Please put up a video on it.

In my mid 70s I have become a fan of sneakers although I do like heels when very dressed up. Sneakers are so comfortable and as my feet are post menopause, so shape etc has changed, regular footwear that is comfortable and looks good without costing the earth are hard to find. I use toothpaste to clean the rubber and soles and so far, a damp cloth with detergent is all I have required. My gym shoes do need a run in the washing machine, I must admit. I love your diy cleaners and agree, no diy on suede or nubuck.

If you have a regular front load washing machine do you need to use a laundry bag? I saw in the video you didn't but im not sure if its because you had that special compartment.
You never addressed cotton white tennis shoes. I've seen lots of hacks that use laundry detergent first then baking soda and leave out in the sun. What do you think?

Cif Cream with a toothbrush works wonders to clean your white soles. Way quicker and effective than dish soap or detergent. I assume other abrasive cleaners (like power paste or pink stuff paste) would do the same, but I haven't tried it.

You can purchase at most good shoe stores, on line, or in disability aged care supply retailers. We have had two for years, can't do without them. Oops, I am in Australia but if I can purchase here, you will find them everywhere in the US if that's where you live.

I always think about this.. imagine if none of us knew what others wore & were unable to be influenced by brands or other ppl. We only wore what we liked. Imagine how much more interesting the world would be

Always amazing ! I treat my new shoes before I wear them my go to shoes are probably a tie Nike air max 1 and Air max 97... and I think you should wear what you like and is comfterable!
Lots of female rock singers I've noticed wear all types of platform sneakers on stage in a dress. It looks cool. I see it while working in Chicago too. I think it's great.

Heels are out for me. Flat shoes . Flat dress shoes.

I’m bothered by the trend bc back in the day it wasn’t cool or trendy and you were considered lazy or didn’t have money for nicer shoes for dressier looks. Same thing with people getting excited for “dupes” now but you were judged and looked down on if you had knock-offs of anything. So… that’s my take of the hot take. My fave shoe? Toms or Bobs that you can just slip your feet in quick and easy lol.
