✅ Ingredients:
• melted butter - 2 tbsp
• corn kernels - 3,5 oz | 100 g
• salt - 1 tsp
✔︎ You will need:
• saucepan or pan with a lid
• coffee grinder or mortar
📙 Preparation:
1. Crush the salt into powder with a coffee grinder or in mortar.
2. Heat up well the melted butter in a saucepan, add the corn kernels and powdered salt and stir well. Cover with a lid and cook over medium heat until first breaking of corn for about 20 seconds.
3. Reduce the heal to lowest and shake the saucepan holding the lid, keep cooking for another 1-2 minutes over lowest heat. As soon as all the kernels are popped, take the saucepan off the stove - the salty popcorn is ready!
❗️Advices:
1. Use a saucepan with narrow bottom and wider top, it will let kernels to pop faster and not to be burnt and sticked to bottom.
2. Except saucepan, stockpot or pan, steel bowls can be used.
3. Butter can be changed for frying vegetable oil but note that a taste and aroma of oil affects a taste of popcorn.
4. It is perfect to use nut oils instead of melted butter - walnut, hazelnut, coconut, etc.
