Today I draw on another page of a sketchbook I started recently. I didn't plan it out, but to me it turned out to look like some sort of subterranean base, maybe sub-aquatic! The pen I used in the video is a Rotring Isograph 0.35

I am not here for “viral” videos or trendsetting videos, I am here to enjoy your company: to listen to you tell me about your day, your week, your thoughts, your struggles and to watch you draw. You help me to relax, to smile, to learn, to know that there are other people around the world just like me, and also to check out a new pen or pencil or paper. Please don’t fret about nonsense. Just be you... that is why all of us are here 🥰

I found Peter a few years ago, got inspired to draw my own doodles. When asked by a friend on how I know what to draw I told her that it doesn’t matter, drawings doesn’t have to be of anything and I just put lines on paper for fun.
This inspred her 12yo son to start drawing doodles too.. and they’re pretty amazing
    I think that’s pretty awesome

    • @rioreason
      @rioreason Před 3 lety +2

Hell yes! Good for you, and the little boy! Anyone can draw. My son was never into coloring books, but he loves drawing with a simple black marker. Sharpie is his weapon of choice. I’m very fortunate it’s never landed on the walls, lol - but I get him Crescent Rendr sketchbooks, so maybe that little bit of spoiling him has been a good deterrent.

    • @AshPedreiroPlaysGames
      @AshPedreiroPlaysGames Před 3 lety

I know I didn't draw for the longest time because I was too much of a perfectionist to actually make realistic art so I didn't but then I saw this channel and started to do my own doodling. Surrealists also doodled pretty frequently and would call it automatism or automatic drawing and it was thought of as a way to really bring out the subconscious onto paper. So in that sense doodles might tell you something about yourself or what you enjoy that you might not fully realize before. It also gave me the confidence to start drawing things with more and more realism.

it's a muscle you can flex. it is very similar to musical improvisation, just being able to take something and push it out further and further. you just need to get some notebooks and fill them up with improvisation. your first ones are going to suck, they're gonna look like weird scribbles and you're not gonna wanna keep going, but if you do, they slowly start becoming better. it starts to almost flow out automatically and your brain is able to open up more creativity into it.

This can be a traumatic, emotional time for a guy in a frdge who had such a nice setup going for himself. My thoughts go out to Dan, hang in there buddy, it will all work out in the end I am sure.

As a person, Peter, you are exquisite. I realize you may feel differently in some moments, but know that you are in fact exquisite.
Its also important to know that keeping certain things to yourself will actually cause you to dwell on them, whereas talking about them will release you from them. Obviously the videos aren't the place for all such things, but I think in many cases "its ok" :) as most of us out here are very supportive and appreciative of you. And there's a lot of us.
I'm very highly empathic, so I tend to see everything below the surface just as vividly as I see the surface, often times even more so.
There are many depths that I pick up in you just from going through your past videos. It's nothing you broadcast openly, but I do see and feel it, it's just how I am.
So I just wanted to say that if you wanted a genuine, thoughtful & wise ear to chat with, one that will understand most things without explanation feel free to email me. The address is in my profile here.
Its good to be released from things we worry about dwelling on, & ignoring them only delays their next visit, but they will revisit.
I'm not some kind of therapist, I'm just an insightful, quirky, unique guy that recognizes when another wonderfully unique individual might need an unbiased, non judgemental skwurl to chat with. Again my email is on my profile, if you wish.
Either way, I hope you are well, you are a beautiful person, and thank you for the therapeutic videos :)
(see, unbeknownst to you, you've already helped me, so I'd simply be giving back!)
    Love ya brother
    Take care

(Just realized this might aswell be a book, but I still hope it gets read. I mean every word.) I love how different you are. My generation would pick on you mercilessly because you're different, but thankfully my eyes are open to the world and it's monstrosities, and I see how pure you are, and honest, and very blunt about things. Your videos are so refreshing because it's nice to see people like you getting so much love and support in this day and age. I'm sure you know you're different. You're quirky, and funny. You like to laugh, and make others laugh, and share you're creativity. But the way you do it isn't "cool" to them, or it's weird, or odd. But I think your work is amazing and cool. I love your art style, your editing style, all of it. And even though Voice Peter rambles a lot, it's genuine. People are worried about what they say sounding cool so that they don't lose friends, but that's how you end up with these generations of people with hidden agendas, because those friends aren't real. You couldn't be your real self, so how is your relationship with them real? But I think that's what's so refreshing about you. You're genuine. Point blank. Simple. A lot of people nowadays, as is likely common knowledge, are two-faced, or have an agenda and no feelings for others. So it's nice to see you, not having a care in the world what people think of you, and just being Peter. I admire that a lot, and I think a lot of people should be like that, and just be open. Polite, but open. I think the world is slowly starting to realize how messed up we are and it's becoming more common for people to step up and say something. And I think that's a great start, I just hope more people keep becoming more selfless, and carefree (both obviously in moderation, while still putting their foot down for things that matter). The world would be a better place, for sure.

We also split the cost of staying at a house directly on the beach with 5 other people. It was fun and I am a beach person, but I was so relieved when I got home from being with other people for a whole week. I thought I was weird for thinking that it felt so good to be back in my own place vs. a nice vacation house.

Peter, seriously if you need a direction you might want to become a teacher or college professor or work in a museum or gallery, you eat and breath visionary awesomeness and you can guide so many young minds..
But that's just my thoughts. .. only you can find your path...
Keep up the great works ...

I’m FASCINATED by these sensory anomalies you’re having! The sense of being aware of where your body parts are is called proprioception and there are all kinds of things that can confuse it and give you strange sensations like that. You might find the writings of Dr. Oliver Sacks, who’s covered these kinds of proprioception issues, interesting, I think they’re all on Audible.

I've had similar weird sensations when trying to sleep except when I lay on my back motionless I can't tell where my feet are. Sometimes they feel yards away and other times an inch away from my face. I lose where my body parts are and their proportions

@@maggs131 Same, I lose track of my hands and feet all the time if I haven't moved them recently. Or moments where I'm lying in bed with my phone in my hands and it feels like my hands and phone weigh about a thousand pounds, and simultaneously nothing at all.

Mind is the door to the never
What seems real is often the trigger
Moonlight feeds that which dwells in the dark
    Our imagination is the spark
    What lurks under your bed
Is often what lurks in your head.

Peter is lying. Those lights aren't really app-activated. You only think they're changing color because you are under his hypnotic spell.

OMG, Peter moving can be the worst. I always get emotional & physically drained. I hate to move more than anything. So I feel for ya. OMG, the Alice in wonderland syndrome is exactly what I use to feel every night as a child. I never knew how to explain it. And had never heard anyone else say they had anything like it. You describing this has been a relief just knowing someone out there could understand & put a name to that sooo strange feeling. I have never heard of this syndrome. They named it right. It does feel like everything is huge & thick. I'm so glad you talked about this. Now I can look that up. I don't think anyone knew how very strange & scary it was to feel like that. I think they thought I was making it up or something because no one ever tried to help me figure it out or make it stop. But as I got older it became less frequent. Until it finally stopped altogether. But it went on for several years. I hope you never have to experience it again. Sometimes it would be so bad, & I would get scared. And I think getting scared made it even worse. It was like being on acid, only I didn't even know what acid was at that age. Thanks so much. I'm gonna call my Mom & give her a guilt trip for once. LOL Great drawings. Always enjoy watching you create. TYFS

When you were talking about the feeling of giant legs and not being able to move'em, I thought again about the scatterdness. I felt like you were talking about you being so scattered, that you didn't even have limbs. Idk. Just something that popped into my head.

This isn't really a viral-video type of channel, nor should it be. We're just here to watch you draw and listen to you talk about whatever. A lot of those viral-video people are wrapped up in profit and ego, which leads to pandering. That sort of thing would only diminish your art.

Oh. My. God. You are describing exactly what happens to me some times.
It happened to me all the time when I was a kid and I would get sick. And even sometimes now when I'm not feeling well. and I try to lay down and rest. And the only way it goes away is when I like look and my hands and fingers and wiggle them around just like you said
