I came here for Mr. Darcy, but actually this was an enjoyable, intelligent, relaxed interview. A lot of that I think came from the interviewer. She was way more down to earth than most. Now I want to watch Succession.
I was very impressed by the interviewer too - her questions but especially her manner, as you said. Really good actor interviewers are hard to come by.

I don't know why everybody is surprised about him he is such a great actor and many people don't knew him until Susession he has a lot of important work in UK tv series theater and he uses his voice to read poems and commercials

I love him to death and will always support any role he choses to play but I miss him terribly as Mr. Darcy, I still watch the movie 15 years later and can’t snap out of it! Please Matthew try convincing Joe Wright to consider doing a sequel! Or a 6 episodes series so you would have more time to be true to the book and we would have more time to enjoy you! Your fans would really appreciate it!

i really hope they release the blooper reel one day. the cast has such amazing chemistry, and i really want to see how they are between takes! i usually find that blooper reels provide a more in-depth look at the relationships between the actors, and i’m sure that succession has some really great clips on their gag reel.

Never saw Succession but I thought he was brilliant as inspector Reid in the series Ripper Street. He should have won a best actor award. That was the first time I saw Matthew Macfadyen. He was better than most famous Hollywood actors.!!!! Loved him.

Oh my gosh, you're my twin. I just paused pride and prejudice just now (my 30th time watching it) to watch this interview. Lol. The scene was when Bingley proposed and Darcy walks away from the house on the field, looking back on the house like his mission was accomplished.They don't make novels or romance movies like this one. Is it me or British and American actors - the majority of them - have this melancholic and collected demeanor about them? My daughter is American, I am Latina and I just love how cool, calm, assured she is. What I say will make sense to foreingers or people from other cultures. Just love them. Kk

I actually really enjoyed this interview and the lady did a very good job. She has the ability to make the “interviewee” relaxed and comfortable, making it much more enjoyable (often not the case in celebrity interviews). I guess my only frustration was that at times I felt like she really didn’t understand the character of Tom or had a largely negative view of him. Some of her descriptions were true of the character but for me he’s one of if not my favorites. I just think Tom is so hilarious and I tend to root for him more than any of the others. The scene where he confronts Nate with the wine is just priceless. Anyway great interview.

A few years ago, I found Succession on a channel we began to subscribe too. I was consumed and caught up on all of the seasons and episodes. I kept thinking who is this guy and he’s really weird and seems over shadowed by his wife, but he’s very evil. During this pandemic, I have watched many old videos. Then I watched Pride and Prejudice and it hit me. OMG It’s Mr. Darcy. 🥰
Watch him as Tom Quinn in "Spooks" or "MI5," depending on how the Brits market the series in your country.
