Infosys Mysore is India’s biggest training campus. It has the capacity to train atleast 10,000 students. Generally IT aspirants will be posted here for their training. Talents refer this place as a second college after graduation.
Located in the 337-acre Infosys Mysore campus, the total capacity of the center has been enhanced to educate 14,000 (GEC I - 4,500 and GEC II - 9,500) Infoscions. Infosys' total investment in the Mysore center is Rs. 2,055 crore of which Rs. 350 crore has been invested in construction of Software Development Blocks and related services, and Rs.1,705 crore has been invested in education and training-related infrastructure.
Infosys Mysore Campus. Most Infoscions (employees of Infosys) call the Mysore Infosys Campus as "Heaven on Earth". The biggest attraction in the campus is the training center itself. GEC-2 (GEC stands for Global Education Center) is the largest single building built after India's independence and looks similar to the White House.
There are lot of things to explore within the campus like the Multiplex, the outdoor sports areas, large swimming pool, food courts(especially Fiesta the biggest one), cycling within the campus, the super markets, gym and many more!
It is open only to Infosys Employees and their families. It is possible to stay in the ECC, which is the accommodation provided by Infosys within the campus, at cheap rates and stay within the campus and enjoy the beauty of the campus. The accommodation can be booked from within the intranet of Infosys by the employees. It is quite cheap and all tourist attractions of Mysore are also near to the campus. So you can take a tour of Mysore as well after the campus tour!
