English Riviera Airshow Railtour | Class 52 Western Champion | 1st June 2024

Come and join me for the greatest railtour of all, with steam trains, diesel trains and planes all in one day!
We travel behind Class 52 Western D1015 "Western Champion" also disguised as D1011 "Western Thunderer" from Birmingham New Street to Torquay and Paignton, with a brief stop at Bristol Temple Meads hauling the Pathfinder Railtours charter train "The English Riviera Airshow".
At Paignton we watch a steam and diesel heritage train that operates the Dartmouth Steam Railway & River Boat Company with a Class 37 and a GWR Manor Class locomotive, then we head to Paignton Seafront to watch the Torbay Airshow with incredible displays of WW2 aircraft, the Typhoon and the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team the Red Arrows!
Plus at Paignton mainline station we also see another charter train hauled by B1 no. 61306 "Mayflower" hauling the "English Riviera Express" and it was my first time since I was 6 years old to see this engine again!
Onboard the diesel charter, we see stunning views of the Devon Coastline and the South West before we arrive back into Birmingham near to midnight.
