Gengar hack - if you build up your boosted auto attack you can jump the Xatu over the wall at the start
That's assuming you're not choosing lick and instead going for will-o-wisp.
@MusicComet no, you auto attack to build your boosted and then use the boosted auto attack to get over the wall
@@confused-engineer1732 You don't say? Did you know that you get a free bosted with Lick? You can use that one to teleport over the wall. The only instance you really want to build your boosted is if you're going Will-o-Wisp which is the better starting move.
@MusicComet that was my point... if you basic attack the air to get your boosted you can teleport AND have willowisp

I suppose if I had any guilty pleasure build in Unite, it'd be Stone Edge TTar. I understand why that move needs changes, but I still much prefer it over Dark Pulse solely because of how much more damage it does.
yeah really powerful bursts and you get three which is cool
i think a nice rework would be that stone edge erupts around you instead of a cone attack so you can hit everyone inside your sand tomb

If I’m being honest I hate seeing gengars in ranked. It’s either a hit or miss and I really don’t feel like taking the gamble. Whenever I see a gengar in my team I have to prepare myself to carry 😭
That's with every pokemon, just that with gengar it's more likely because barely anyone plays it.

I've put 7 red emblems on Gengar scarf band and specs , and it almost plays like it used to when U could spam hex
Like Sableye I love Gengar but playing them just feels off. I wish they felt better but buffing them seems unlikely.

Hi..can anyone explain why sometimes they need to stack goals? Is it because a specific item?
Yea, there are 3 held items that could increase your specific stat whenever you score a goal w/ 6 stacks max: Attack Weight (+Atk), Aeos Cookies (+HP), Sp. Attack Specs (+Sp. Atk)
yeah LICK move can CC jungle if aimed before
It's sometimes hard against mimikyu with gengar but I don't think it deserves a nerf
Shouldn't you use choice spec or special attack glasses instead of spoon because sludge bomb already decreases sp Def.

Even if it were dream eater it'd still be better to run spoon if I remember the builds on UniteDB correctly.

It's easy to be good when your Pokémon is broken.
Using lick does stop the jungle Pokémon’s attack, just basic first
Hex/sludge ball is the way

What does the blue and red buffs do?
Blue reduces the cooldown of your moves by 10%. Red makes it so your auto attacks slow the enemy.
Blue reduces your ability cooldowns and red has a tiny physical attack stat buff but more importantly it slows opposing pokemon when you hit them

I don't understand why this build ever became unpopular tbh. It was a terror for so long. Did it just become "uncool" because somebody said so??
There are just better moves out there. Sludge bomb is very clunky, and if you ever miss your combo, you're just a big purple squishy sitting duck.
Forget what anyone else says, you are exactly right. This build can go into any game whereas if you run ball/dream and the opposing team has a bunch of fat Pokemon Gengar is in for a rough and not so efficient match.
@@MrPants-rk9yi "if you miss your combo..." that applies to a lot of the other mons too though right? Just wondering what changed to where ppl act like this moveset is taboo. There's better mons with better kits yes; but if you're going to play Gengar I don't see why this set would be a bad pick

The first 4mins of this video is perfect example of why you should not stack in the jungle, you waste so much time in lane and miss a lot of your jungle spawn, both your own and contested
