    My dude, I'm glad I listened to the entire video because right around the 20-minute mark I was thinking to myself ... man this is the guy who's always talking about juicing and eating fruit and vegetables whole foods, vegan style, and he's STILL dealing with this crap?!
    You and I have spoken through text on FB messenger (I believe) before and I mentioned to you that I was having issues with bloating for quite some time. I'm going to be 49 years old next month and I feel like I have tried absolutely everything available to get rid of this problem. My joints are starting to get sore I used to be able to eat an entire large pizza all by myself with room for more afterwards if I wanted to. n
    Now I can still eat a large pizza myself but I will feel bloated and overstuffed for at least 5 hours after.
    After hearing about your experience in this video with simply fasting by drinking water and nothing more I was thinking to myself about all the money I wasted over the years going through other programs and doing other done-for-you juices or spending $600 on produce for two weeks worth of food to eat and juicing products to juice myself when all I needed to do was buy a few jugs of distilled water?! I was like OMG! How much money could I have saved myself all these years?!
    I am also thin like you are (you might be a little bit more thin than I am but pretty close) so I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of muscle weight I could put on once I start working out again after I go through this water fast. I just don't know how long I should do this water fast for. I have done and all juice fast and nothing more for 28 days before so I'm confident in my ability to make this last for a long time. I just don't know if I'll have the types of reactions that you had during your process.

    I really laughed at you describing being “that dude” :)) But you are one courageous human being for lasting so many days and not giving up immediately! Can’t imagine the mental and emotional struggle while fasting, i only know how hard it can be without. Was wondering why others can last longer, because of less waste to eliminate/better function of the metabolism? I don’t know...🤔
    From what you say it seems you made the best decision to stop, like that nasty hard bowel was staying in the way and wanted all your attention.

    The one thing that holds me back from the long water fasting is the bowel movement when done. I had bad Rectal prolapse after multiple back to back babies (labor pushing) and I was warned after the rectopexy surgery I can not “push” or get constipated ever again without a repeat of the prolapsing.

    • @jeffjuices
      @jeffjuices  Před 2 lety +2

      I feel you. I am currently still dealing with the prolapse. This seems to be a whole new beast to overcome now the more I research it. If I were to do another water fast, I would for sure do enemas to help loosen up my stool so it comes out easier. How are you after your surgery? any issues with it?

    • @Alykat736
      @Alykat736 Před 2 lety +2

      @@jeffjuices ya, I’d have to use enemas given what Ive heard the first stool is like. Loren’s aversion to them seems to make this process harder , no pun intended.
      I lived with the prolapse for years but it only got worse so i had to do the surgery.
      I’d say the only issue after surgery, which was in 2013, was the first year of being afraid I was going to screw up the surgery .
      But physically I’ve been absolutely fine 👌🏼

    I have quite the same story as you . 5 months into juicing and eating all fruit , very less fat i became so skinny. I was jot able to gain weight by any means. I felt so miserable even though i was eating supposedly the healthiest diet. Then one day i found Loren and i understood that i am not absorbing any nutrients, so i can't gain weight. Then i decided to not torture myself and i started to eat cook again. I made myself a promise to go and fast in Costa Rica one day and from there to go raw. I disagree on what you said about dry fasting. It gives the kidneys a rest to filter out metabolic waste better. Yes it is dehydration, but in the long run, it will hydrate you because you are pissing out your acids which dehydrate. I think that small windows of dry fasting is great for you, even with its issues. However dry fasts that last days and days are terrible and can shut off the kidneys due to so much temporary dehydration
