Great review Shartimus. I actually want this version of Valkyrie a lot more after seeing this review.
I appreciate when the female characters aren't in high heels. I've got a few of the female characters who just fall over constantly. Sure, Medusa and Scarlet Witch have their hair and cape, but it's still a very precarious balancing issue with them.
Seeing Valkyrie reminds me that Marvel really doesn't need the She-Thor/ Jane Foster mess.

this looks like a really solid wave to pick up.
They should make a Sif figure from this body mold. The old version looks like a child standing next to her.
I like the new design but would have been neat if she came with a sheath for her sword.

Do you think that since they gave us a second Valkyrie, that they might FINALLY give us a Lady Sif? Maybe next year closer to Thor Ragnarök? I personally don't care if they go comic version or MCU version, I just want them to release one!

How come female figs don't have double jointed elbows
The paint in the face is not good at all. The eyebrows are painted above their sculpt, and create an awkward expression. (Which is worse combined with the derp-ish eye).
Sigh. You may not have liked the original sword being all yellow/gold but that's the real color (more or less) of her sword. It's called Dragonfang and was sculpted from a dragon's tusk. Once again, Hasbro got it right....the 1st time. The sword is actually inaccurate this go round. Gotta know these characters.

ShartimusPrime No. It's just lately, there's been a rash of reviewers (not just you) that get things wrong. And that isn't the bad thing. What makes it worse is when they do it in "matter of fact" way. One has to know what they're talking about before they can ACT like they know. It's just gotten on my nerves lately.
The majority of the time artists render her sword with a silver blade to add on the only time she's been shown with a full yellow blade was in "secret avengers:valkyrie"
Quit being a know-it-all
irish sith Actually the majority of the time during her time with the Defenders (which was the time of her most appearances by the way) the sword was totally colored gold. It isn't about being a "know it all" as you call it. It's about reviewers knowing what the hell they're talking about. If they don't know much about the character, then just review the figure (sculpt, paint, articulation etc) and don't speak on what you don't know about. Why don't YOU quit being an azzhole and while you're at it, quit being on another man's jock. Prime is quite capable of speaking for himself.

Didn't like what you wrote to +irish sith thought. Dude, don't tell me how to make my videos, I'll speak what I want to speak about. Hey, take them for what they are, enjoy them if you wish, discard if that's your desire. The fact of the matter is, there are so many facts about so many characters out there, that shaming people for not knowing every detail is just incredibly lame. Any idea how this head looks on Kitty Pryde body? I am looking to Frankenstein a Moonstar figure, but I imagine the head being too large. I will probably cannibalize the hair at the least. Anyone try it?
I must be the only one but i think the older valkyrie figure face sculpt looks a lot better than this new one. IMO :)
I actually like the v1.0 Valkyrie face alot more but other than that its a pretty good figure.
i just started collecting some of these marvel legends figures. im mostly a transformer collector but i have found myself liking these as much in the meantime since ive gotten all the bots i need so far. however tis figure is strange for me because she has the weird hip which make the legs odd for posing and throw off the center of balance. the face though i love because it exudes so much confidence with the raised eyebrow and smirk, thus i have her posed hith wrists on her hips and sword in her right hand pointing behind her. you can see it on my instagram @thewestencombs. feel free to leave a follow
