Rare tip about the tail, I use polypropylene as a wing your fly lasts for ever after a drying of with a bit of kitchen towel ,,that amadou is too expensive for drying the flies. Super video.👍
best method for cdc recovery when fishing, rinse in water to remove slime etc, then nip in between a folded sheeet of kitchen roll. A couple of good nps will remove all water, finish with a puff of air and off you go. Forget all the rip off chemicals that pollute and in some cases are carcinogens....... god old kitchen roll.
If you brush on Frogs Fanny or some type of fumed silica powder floatant, you can use one fly until its destroyed, catching fish after fish. Its quick and easy to dry CDC, and floats like a cork.
It will change your whole view of fishing CDC flies forever. My boxes now are overwhelmed by CDC bugs because they dry so quickly and float so long. Be sure to brush the powder on, not shake. I trim and shorten the brush as well so as not to use so much powder.
Great looking fly. Well tied. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you too!
